Having dealt with the jewelry matter, it was already past two in the afternoon.
Since they left late and ate late in the morning, Sienna Thornton wasn’t hungry yet. Simon Forrester asked her what she wanted for lunch, and she simply suggested having dinner directly around five.
After leaving CHAUT, they went to the roadside to wait for a car.
Simon Forrester put an arm around her shoulders and asked, "Where do you want to go?"
"How about going to Notre Da?" Sienna Thornton said, "Since we’re in Luria, it wouldn’t make sense not to visit Notre Da."
Simon Forrester was surprised, "I thought you couldn’t speak French?"
"Yesterday at Montparnasse Tower, you ntioned it, and I rembered it!" Sienna Thornton said, imitating his accent as she repeated the nas of a few Luria landmarks she had learned from him the previous day in French.
Simon Forrester raised his hand to rub her head, "Your pronunciation is spot on. If you have ti, you should start learning French. It will make future trips to Franland much more convenient."
"Sure." Sienna was quite excited about learning a new language and imdiately asked, "When we hail a cab, what will the driver ask, and how should I respond?"
Simon Forrester then role-played with her twice on how to communicate with the driver in French.
Sienna Thornton’s natural sensitivity to languages, combined with her focused and attentive nature when Simon Forrester taught her, maybe coupled with having her own effective learning strategies, enabled her to grasp the essentials in just a few minutes. Thus, upon getting into the car, she was able to communicate seamlessly with the driver in French without Simon Forrester’s prompting.
Simon Forrester was pleased, "Not bad at all. The first ti I ca to Franland, Ms. Langley was the one who taught how to communicate with taxi drivers. You learned faster than I did back then."
"Really?" Sienna Thornton was extrely happy, smiling like a flower, "Then during our ti in Franland, I must learn everyday French communication from you."
"Alright." Simon Forrester lowered his head to kiss her hair, "It would be great if our child is as eager to learn as you are."
"Don’t you enjoy learning?" Sienna Thornton chuckled, raising her face to look at him.
"Honestly?" He had a faint smile hanging on his lips, looking down at her, "I would say I’m just average."
Sienna Thornton was skeptical and asked, "Then how did you earn your degree?"
"I’m the type people talk about, who sleeps all day and still ranks in the top three during exams."
Sienna Thornton: "..."
After showing so disdain towards Simon Forrester, she remarked, "I belong to those who succeed through hard work. When I was young, studying was the only way to avoid farm work, and as I grew older, it was the only way to leave the Raines Family. So learning beca one of the essential parts of my survival, as important as eating and sleeping, and left no ti for romance."
Simon Forrester pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly with a smile, "That’s great. Not having ti for love before didn’t stop you from finding such a qualified partner like ."
Seeing his self-flattery, Sienna Thornton was speechless for a while and then questioned, "And you? Why weren’t you in a relationship before ? That ti you were accused of assault, Partner Reed said your family all thought you were gay."
She didn’t look up at him, so she didn’t see Simon Forrester’s face turning dark as he held her, "Why is Thomas Reed like a gossip, always talking behind people’s backs? I’m afraid it wasn’t my family thinking I was gay, but more like he wished I were gay?"
Sienna Thornton was torn between laughter and tears, recalling the first ti she t Simon Forrester, when Thomas Reed called on her to deliver the dog. Thinking back now, it’s entirely possible that Thomas Reed believed Simon Forrester to be gay then, which is why he trusted her to et Simon Forrester without concern.
After all, if Thomas really liked her at the ti, how could he have let her just et with Simon Forrester? Naturally, it was because he trusted as a gay man, Simon Forrester would not have any spark with her.
"So when he said I was gay, you believed it too?" Simon Forrester asked sinisterly.
Sienna Thornton snapped back, "I neither believed nor disbelieved it. I wasn’t paying attention to it then."
Her answer was more unsettling to Simon Forrester than if she had said, "I believed it". Nothing in this world is more unacceptable than being ignored. The first ti he saw her, he found her very attractive.
He pressed on, "What was your first impression of ?"
Sienna Thornton recalled the scene the first ti they t, and suddenly felt embarrassed again, covering her face, "I thought you were a pervert at the ti... eting for the first ti wearing only a towel, and even worse, the towel got bitten by the dog!"
"Oh... That incident? That’s why after that dead dog ca in, I beat it until it lost its fur! Afterward, I sent it off to the pet shelter!"
Sienna Thornton, who quite liked small animals, upon hearing this, instantly pictured a pitiful Misha on the brink of collapse.
