Just two days after the Qingming Festival, Quentin Thorne called again, saying that April 10th was Sienna Thornton’s birthday and he wanted to throw her a birthday party, intending to host guests at a hotel in Brimfield.
When Sienna Thornton heard that she’d have to et the Thorne family again after just a week, she felt a bit down and used the excuse of spending her birthday with linda Linton to push it off.
As a result, on her birthday, after having longevity noodles and cake at linda’s during the day, she was celebrating with Simon Forrester, Maeve, Zion Quincy, and old colleagues from Cognitas at karaoke when linda called, asking why she’d invited Quentin Thorne to her apartnt for a birthday celebration and then left.
Only then did Sienna Thornton realize that Quentin Thorne thought she’d be at linda’s that night, so he brought cake and presents over, only to find linda and Auntie King at ho.
She had to say she forgot and was out with friends, asking linda to eat the cake with Quentin. After hanging up with linda, she called Auntie King to help take care of the two elders.
Just as she hung up, Simon Forrester ca up from behind and took her hand, "What happened?"
Sienna Thornton briefly explained, and Simon Forrester laughed, "Isn’t this great? Let your folks have so ti alone, eating cake and chatting together."
Sienna Thornton chuckled, "A pleasant surprise."
The birthday song echoed from the room, and Simon Forrester squeezed her hand, "Hurry up and go in, it’s ti to make a wish and cut the cake."
She took a couple of steps and then stopped suddenly.
Simon Forrester turned back to her, "What’s wrong?"
"I forgot to ask my mom what gift my dad brought for ..."
Simon Forrester sighed and pulled her back into the room, "Co on in first."

"Hurry and make a wish! Hurry!"
Under the cheers of old colleagues and friends, Sienna Thornton clasped her hands, leaned on her chin, closed her eyes, and made her first wish of the year.
At that mont, in the room with all the lights off, the giant screen suddenly switched to a starry sky background, with bright shooting stars continuously streaking by, accompanied by sound effects, as if real teors were cutting through the night sky.
"Wow, there are shooting stars! Lawyer Thornton’s wish is sure to co true!" Aurora Buckley said softly.
Sienna Thornton silently finished her wish and opened her eyes, greeted by the starry-sky-like room with shooting stars streaking right before her, making her feel imrsed in it.
She knew this was Simon Forrester’s preparation, and she looked gratefully at him.
Simon Forrester hugged her, cupped her face, and gave her a deep, lingering kiss.
Around them, there were joyful cheers.
Feeling shy, Sienna Thornton burrowed into Simon Forrester’s arms.
Simon Forrester also felt a bit embarrassed, as he wasn’t one to showcase affection openly.
The two cut the cake together under the enthusiastic cheers, the matching rings on their ring fingers sparkling brightly.

On the way ho, Simon Forrester drove.
The car’s sunroof was open, and Sienna Thornton looked up at the stars above her head and laughed, "Why did you put on such a big screen of shooting stars when I was making my wish?"
Simon Forrester concentrated on driving, "Because I think making a wish on a shooting star is very effective, so I created hundreds more to strengthen the chance of your wish coming true."
Sienna Thornton couldn’t help but laugh, "Didn’t I tell you before that making wishes on shooting stars doesn’t work?"
"I think it works just fine."
Hearing the hidden story in his words, Sienna Thornton sat up and looked at him sideways, "Have you tried it?"
"Or else how would I believe it?"
Sienna Thornton shook his arm, "Co on, tell ."
At that mont, Simon Forrester was seriously watching the road, with a subtle smile on his lips, "A few years ago, when watching the Lyrid teor shower, I wished to be with a girl, and it ca true afterwards."
Sienna Thornton: "???"
She ran through the years of the Lyrid teor shower in her head: "11, 12, 13, 15, and 17, all these years had the Lyrid teor shower. Which year did you make the wish?"
She and Simon Forrester t in 18, but he had already been with other girls before eting her, claiming back then that he had never dated anyone before.

The joy of her birthday was overshadowed by Simon Forrester’s mouth.
Sienna Thornton felt a bit angry; she had been smug thinking she was Simon Forrester’s first love, and yet???
Slamd by the Lyrid teor shower in the face.
While driving, Simon Forrester glanced at her, seeing her with her little pout, he knew she was mad.
He didn’t understand why, so he asked, "Why aren’t you talking?"
She shot him a glance and turned her head to face the passenger window.
He thought back to their conversation just now and suddenly burst out laughing.
Now, Sienna Thornton was even angrier, turning to face him in a huff, accusing, "Feeling proud having dated other girls, aren’t you?"
He suddenly turned serious, "Who said I dated other girls?"
"Didn’t you just say that a few years ago you wished on the Lyrid teor shower to be with a girl, and it ca true, so what else could it be if not with another girl?"
"The Lyrid teor shower in April 19, and two months later, weren’t we together?"
Sienna Thornton: "???"
So he was talking about her all along.
She gave a sheepish laugh, hugged Simon Forrester’s waist a little tightly, and quickly returned to her seat.
Simon Forrester glanced at her, "What’s going on in that little head of yours all the ti..."
"Sorry, I drank too much."
"You didn’t drink tonight."

Simon Forrester lectured Sienna Thornton all the way, and when they got out of the car and into the elevator, he was still lecturing.
She pressed her temples, hands rubbing together, and begged him to stop, making him finally contentedly fall silent.
When they entered their ho, both changed into slippers. Simon Forrester went to the bar for a drink of water, while Sienna Thornton stretched and walked towards their room.
Suddenly, a scream ca from the room.
Simon Forrester casually put down his water glass, chuckled, and walked over to the master bedroom.
On the two-ter bed with the cream-colored sheets, several dozen champagne roses were arranged in the shape of a heart, with a transparent folder placed in the center.
The lighting in the bedroom was warm yet dim. Standing a few steps from the end of the bed, Sienna Thornton couldn’t make out what exactly was in the folder, only vaguely seeing it was a stack of docunts.
She covered her mouth, surprised and curious, turning to look at Simon Forrester, "When did you do this?"
They’d been together all day, how did Simon Forrester find ti to do all this?
Simon Forrester smiled, cupping her face and giving her a kiss, "Happy birthday, my darling."
"!!!" Her face turned red, "You’re so cheesy!"
It was the first ti he called her "darling," and she wasn’t used to it; goosebumps popped up all over.
He led her forward, "Let’s see your gift first."
She was gently pushed to sit on the end-of-bed bench while Simon Forrester sat next to her, turned, and handed her the folder.
