"Still in ergency..." Jenna Raines sobbed softly, "Mom and Dad started arguing over Second Brother, and then Mom fainted..."
"That bastard!" Sienna Thornton fiercely hung up the phone, threw off the blanket on her, and tried to get up.
The shampoo assistant quickly said, "Miss Thornton, let rinse your hair clean before you go. Your hair is still covered in treatnt cream."
Sienna’s eyes quickly flushed red, and she lay back down numbly, her voice changed: "Hurry up, I have an ergency."
On the neighboring bed, Simon Forrester also asked Number Eight to help wash his hair.
Rinse, dry, blow-dry, all completed in less than ten minutes.
Sienna felt anxious, but her foot with the crutch couldn’t walk fast. Perhaps upset, while waiting for Simon to sign, she raised her cast-covered leg and kicked the wall.
Simon walked over, firmly held her arm, and said in a deep voice, "Calm down! Let’s go back first and talk!"
He helped Sienna into the elevator.
Once the elevator doors closed, Sienna took out her phone, dialed a number, "Where are you?"
"My mom went to the hospital, I need you to drive back ho." Her hand holding the crutch tightened repeatedly, veins prominently visible on her fair hand.
Apparently, the other person couldn’t co over, suggesting she reach out to Zion Quincy. She paused and said, "Zion is currently in the United States, even farther than you. No worries, I’ll borrow a car from the company."
Sienna hung up the call, but didn’t imdiately contact the company, instead asking Simon, "My mom is in trouble, I can’t drive, I need a car to take back ho. Can you help call for a car?"
"I’ll take you back."
Upon hearing this, Sienna was startled, uncertain, "My ho is in Wrayhaven, from Brimfield, there’s no highway, it’ll take at least five hours to drive there and back. You won’t make it to work."
Simon stared at her, with a serious expression, but his tone was intentionally light, "I’m the boss, it’s okay to skip work occasionally."
"Thank you so much..." Knowing the heavy workload at the design firm, Simon had to work overti every day, yet he was still willing to take ti off to drive her ho. Sienna felt a warmth in her heart, truly appreciating Simon for the first ti.
Simon, unaccustod to outward displays of emotion, although he felt deeply for Sienna, could only offer a mild, "Your mom will be fine."
The two packed their luggage briefly, finally getting into the car half an hour later.
Simon started the navigation, setting the destination as "Wrayhaven County Hospital," then drove onto the national highway.
After settling everything, Sienna called Jenna again, receiving the update that linda Linton was still being resuscitated.
Sienna’s mood inevitably dropped to the bottom, even as strong and independent she usually was, the thought of her only relative in the world being in critical condition made her shed silent tears.
Simon kept one hand steadily on the steering wheel, freeing the other hand to hand her tissues, trying to distract her, "Does Auntie have any previous health issues?"
"I don’t know," Sienna shook her head in confusion, "I left ho when I was fifteen. During the three years I attended high school in the city, she sotis visited at school. One ti, I found dicine in her bag, realizing she could only visit when she went for dical appointnts..."
Speaking of this, she began to sob, "Afterwards, we rarely t. She must have been sick for a long ti, but I knew nothing! I’m truly a terrible daughter! What’s the use of all this education? In the end, my mom still suffers in that terrible place!"
She covered her face, "woo woo woo" cries echoing in the quiet car, even Simon could feel the sadness and despair.
Simon felt his throat tighten, swallowing hard, only finding the tension rising up to his nose and eyes.
For the first ti, he realized he too was affected by Sienna’s emotions, feeling like crying.
He instinctively reached out to gently pat her back, his voice softening a few degrees, "It’ll be all right, when your mom recovers this ti, spend so more ti with her."
Sienna still covered her face, although she stopped sobbing aloud, her shoulders shook repeatedly.
Simon wasn’t sure if his comfort was helpful, but at this mont, it was all he could do.
