Sienna Thornton was so annoyed by Simon Forrester’s affection that she activated her inner strength to escape from his office.
She went to communicate with Gavin Gale about today’s interview, only to find out that Simon had already asked Gavin to notify the candidates to co for an interview at ten this morning.
Sienna thought to herself, everything was clearly arranged, and yet he pretended not to know, just to act like a rogue first.
She conversed with Gavin about today’s work schedule, conveniently obtaining the group’s new organizational chart and the resus of the executive office mbers, then returned to Simon’s office with a pile of docunts.
Initially, she sat opposite Simon, sharing a desk with him. Sporadically, she could inquire about unclear parts right on the spot. However, in less than half an hour, people started coming to Simon one after the other, so she moved to the sofa.
Later, she noticed that everyone who ca into the office seed surprised to see her; acquaintances just greeted her, but for those she didn’t know, either she or Simon had to introduce themselves.
In the end, she simply moved to the eting room next door to work.
Recollecting how Simon introduced her as his fiancée earlier in the office, she chuckled to herself as she reviewed the docunts.
A while later, Gavin ca over to tell her that the interviews were about to begin and invited her to join in.
"I won’t be attending," she said as she pulled out an A4 paper from amidst the docunts for Gavin, "I’ve listed so questions on it. Make sure to ask each candidate and record their responses, then just give them back to ."
Sienna never intended to face the interviews personally, hence her casual attire today.
Major corporations have professional interviewers, and there’s Gavin as the executive assistant. If she flaunted herself as the chairman’s fiancée and attended the interviews flamboyantly, it would be detrintal to Simon’s authority.
Even though she occasionally offers suggestions, she only tells Simon privately, with at most Gavin knowing. No matter what, she wouldn’t participate flamboyantly in the group’s managent.
She was very clear about this. That’s why she wouldn’t join the interview today and would instead make a selection from the candidates Gavin and the others have finalized.

Gavin hadn’t co up after heading down before ten, likely indicating that the interviews were still ongoing.
During the lunch break, Simon took Sienna to the employee cafeteria for lunch, and afterward, he brought her to his lounge to rest.
The lounge was in an inconspicuous spot next to the conference room, originally non-existent. Simon had Gavin arrange it after taking over the Forrester Group.
Previously, Old Master Forrester seldom worked at the group office, spending most of his ti at the old house. He only ca by when sothing required his presence, and even then, he’d just attend etings, give instructions, then return ho.
Simon is different.
The changes he enacted were quite significant, necessitating diligence and eagerness to learn. So most of the ti, he stayed earnestly working at the group office.
Thus, a lounge for him to take a break beca indispensable.
The lounge wasn’t large, just under thirty square ters, visibly converted from a small office. It contained a 1.5-ter double bed, a sliding door wardrobe, a desk, and a small bathroom with a shower.
Sienna followed Simon inside, looked around, and asked, "Why the shower and wardrobe for just a nap?"
"In case it’s too late to return during late-night overti, it’s convenient to rest here directly." For a stable operation like the Forresters, such occurrences shouldn’t be frequent.
Understanding, Sienna said, "True, during last month’s crazy overti, I actually wanted to stay at the office myself, but fortunately, you suggested staying at the design institute’s dormitory."
Simon took off his suit jacket, hung it in the wardrobe, and gently lay down on the bed with her.
She embraced his waist and said, "Previously at Vantage, sotis we’d work until four or five in the morning, then drag our exhausted bodies ho, shower, and sleep three or four hours before returning to work. Back then, I envied those who could set up a small rest area in the office."
A bit tired, Simon responded softly with his eyes half-closed, "So that’s why you bought an apartnt near Vantage?"
Sienna laughed, "Yes."
But her laughter lasted only a few seconds before she started sighing, "That apartnt was my first property in life. Sotis, I really want to go back and look at it."
"I’ll go with you to visit this weekend."
Sienna shook her head with closed eyes, "We’ve moved out for so long, the previous owner must have rented it out already. Why would they let us visit..."
Simon nearly blurted out that the apartnt has been vacated all this ti, but he swallowed the words and said instead, "How about I buy it back? We can occasionally go stay there, like a vacation to relive old tis."
In truth, the apartnt was initially purchased by Simon using Harrison Rowe’s aunt and uncle’s nas. Its significance was witnessing his and Sienna’s journey from strangers to deep lovers. Though Sienna occasionally reminisced about it, Simon felt more attached.
Unaware that her forr small apartnt was actually bought by Simon, Sienna, being practical and not wasteful, would naturally disagree with such a plan.

Around three in the afternoon, Gavin delivered the profiles of the three shortlisted candidates to both Simon and Sienna.
Sienna first reviewed the interview records and resus of the three candidates, discovering that they all held master’s degrees from prestigious foreign universities, focusing on business managent.
Then, examining their answers to her questions, Sienna privately comnted to Simon on two points—
"First, most of the Forrester exports are sold through Grant USA. Theoretically, it’s still a traditionally manufacturing-focused company. I believe the new assistant could be a dostically educated student specializing in industrial managent. With Gavin already being foreign-educated in business managent, there’s no point in hiring another assistant of the sa type."
"Second, you’re looking for an assistant, not the next group chairman. For an assistant, what’s crucial? Obedience, emotional stability, strong adaptability! Among these three," Sienna glanced at the profiles, "one seems prone to anxiety, and the other two resist change. In my opinion, none are suitable."
Simon took the docunts from her, glanced through them quickly, and inquired, "Those two assistants you brought over from Vantage to Cognitas and the one now in the Treaty and Law Departnt, were they also screened using these questions?"
