Chapter 409: Chapter 409 Continue Treating the Illness

Jiang Yun’s reaction could be understandable, but Bai Jie making such a fuss is sowhat exaggerated, isn’t it? What does this have to do with her?

The sensitive Li Xuanxuan imdiately sensed an unusual atmosphere and stared at Bai Jie intently, scrutinizing her.

This Bai Jie was already very close to Zhang Dadan, and now she cares so much about his private matters. There must be sothing going on between them!

Bai Jie and Li Xuanxuan didn’t get along well to begin with. Now, seeing Li Xuanxuan suddenly glare at her, Bai Jie felt no surprise and instead began to comfort Mu Feiyan.

“Little Fei! Since it’s like this, he didn’t an it. Just forgive him!” Bai Jie said soothingly, patting Mu Feiyan’s arm.

Seeing this, Jiang Yun also tried to persuade Mu Feiyan, “Little Fei, if he hadn’t discovered your condition, who knows what might have happened later? How can you bla him?”

Their persuasion made Mu Feiyan even more furious. Why does everyone have to side with Zhang Dadan?

“Fine! I’m just being petty. You guys go ahead and be magnanimous!” Mu Feiyan shrugged off Bai Jie, speaking coldly.

Seeing Mu Feiyan’s stubbornness, Bai Jie couldn’t help but feel awkward and smiled, saying, “Alright! I’ll stop talking then!”

Jiang Yun frowned and scolded, “Little Fei! Bai Jie ans well, how can you be so unappreciative? Apologize to her now!”

Mu Feiyan had known Bai Jie since she was a child. Although they didn’t play together often due to the age difference, she always regarded Bai Jie as a sister.

Now, having unintentionally hurt Bai Jie, she felt guilty and muttered, “Sister Bai, I’m really sorry, I acted impulsively in anger. Please don’t mind!”

Bai Jie was about to respond, but Mu Zhuangfei laughed and said, “What’s this? This silly girl, how did she upset Sister Bai again?”

Worried that his daughter would feel even more embarrassed, Jiang Yun quickly said impatiently, “What are you doing ddling in girl’s affairs?”

“I… Fine! I’ll stop talking, okay? Quickly fetch the silver needle and let Zhang Dadan administer acupuncture for Little Fei!” Mu Zhuangfei didn’t want to continue the argunt and swiftly changed the subject.

Mu Feiyan glanced at Zhang Dadan and helplessly said to Jiang Yun, “Mom, you go get the silver needle!”

Seeing that Mu Feiyan wasn’t stubbornly refusing treatnt, Jiang Yun finally felt relieved. If she didn’t let Zhang Dadan treat her, who knows what trouble could occur in the future!

“Alright! I’ll go upstairs to get it. You all wait a mont!” Jiang Yun responded with a smile and hurried upstairs.

Zhang Dadan, though he didn’t an to eavesdrop, heard the conversation in the dining room due to his exceptional hearing and felt sowhat awkward.

“Dadan, have a seat! What are you standing there for?” Mu Zhuangfei sat down and noticed Zhang Dadan still standing, so he tried to make small talk.

Seeing this, Li Xuanxuan imdiately got up and pulled Zhang Dadan by his arm to sit beside her.

“Zhang Dadan, why did you co so late today? I waited for you for so long!” Li Xuanxuan cuddled up to Zhang Dadan’s arm and giggled sweetly.

After speaking, she arrogantly glared at Bai Jie. She now saw Bai Jie as an enemy and naturally wanted to assert her dominance.

However, Mu Zhuangfei, being a conservative person, felt worried seeing Li Xuanxuan being so intimate with Zhang Dadan, and his eyebrows gradually furrowed.

Although Zhang Dadan had done favors for the Mu Family, he was not the type to seek repaynt or aspire for glory.

Realizing Mu Zhuangfei’s displeasure, Zhang Dadan quickly freed himself from Li Xuanxuan’s grasp and returned to his previous seat on the single sofa.

“Zhang Dadan, you…” Li Xuanxuan felt humiliated in front of Bai Jie and angrily started to speak.

Before she could act out, Mu Zhuangfei scolded, “Xuanxuan! Enough! Be quiet, Zhang Dadan needs to treat Little Fei!”

Hearing this, Li Xuanxuan glanced at her cousin Mu Feiyan, restrained her anger, and sighed helplessly.

Jiang Yun, who had just co downstairs, saw Li Xuanxuan sighing and teased, “Xuanxuan, don’t learn from your second uncle, sighing all the ti. It’s bad for your skin!”

“Wrinkles? No way! I’m still young!” Li Xuanxuan responded casually, making everyone laugh.

Jiang Yun walked over to Zhang Dadan and handed him the brocade box containing the silver needle, saying politely, “Dadan, I’m really troubling you!”

Zhang Dadan took the box, nodded, and prepared to treat Mu Feiyan. He noticed Bai Jie was still silently watching him.

“Ahem! Uh… Bai Jie, could you move aside a bit…” Zhang Dadan said hesitantly, not sure why he was feeling this way.

Bai Jie responded casually and quickly got up to move aside, but her gaze remained fixed on Zhang Dadan.

Being experienced, Jiang Yun instantly realized Bai Jie’s feelings for Zhang Dadan and felt a bit surprised.

Though Zhang Dadan had extraordinary dical skills and his rise to prominence was only a matter of ti, would the Bai Family’s patriarch agree?

Besides, Bai Jie had been promised to the Qian Family’s son. Could the Bai Family really cancel the engagent for Zhang Dadan?

While she was pondering, Zhang Dadan started treating Mu Feiyan. Despite her resistance towards Zhang Dadan, Mu Feiyan dared not move and obediently allowed him to proceed.

Bai Jie had seen Zhang Dadan treat before, but seeing Mu Feiyan’s head full of silver needles still shocked her.

Why were there so many needles? Wasn’t Zhang Dadan avenging himself and deliberately ssing with Mu Feiyan?

Everyone in the living room, seeing Zhang Dadan treat, feared disturbing him and remained silent, only watching him.

After more than ten minutes, Zhang Dadan began to remove the needles. Jiang Yun, standing nearby, couldn’t help but whisper to Mu Zhuangfei, “Why did it finish so quickly today?”

“Are you the doctor or is Zhang Dadan the doctor? We layn shouldn’t worry unnecessarily!” Mu Zhuangfei responded.

Having finished removing the needles, Zhang Dadan heard their conversation and explained, “After the last acupuncture, her ridians beca more active, so it doesn’t take as long this ti.”

After speaking, he turned to Mu Zhuangfei and asked, “Will you have your treatnt today or co back tomorrow for it?”

Mu Zhuangfei and his wife felt sowhat awkward and Jiang Yun quickly said to Mu Feiyan and the others, “You all… go upstairs to rest now!”

Bai Jie, unaware of Mu Zhuangfei’s hidden ailnt, was about to show concern for him but was pulled upstairs by Mu Feiyan.

Not understanding Jiang Yun’s reasoning nor Mu Feiyan’s lack of concern for her father’s illness, Bai Jie asked puzzledly, “Little Fei, what’s going on?”

“Oh, stop asking and co upstairs quickly!” Mu Feiyan said while dragging Bai Jie along.

Once the three disappeared around the stair corner, Mu Zhuangfei said displeasedly, “Jiang Yun! What was that about? Why bring this up in front of the children?”

Jiang Yun’s actions stemd from deep affection for her husband, but she inadvertently hurt his pride.

“I… I’m sorry! I’ll be careful with my words next ti! Now let’s get Zhang Dadan to treat you!” Jiang Yun comforted.

Regardless of one’s status, everyone has needs.
