Zhang Dadan, though he didn’t an to eavesdrop, heard the conversation in the dining room due to his exceptional hearing and felt sowhat awkward.
“Dadan, have a seat! What are you standing there for?” Mu Zhuangfei sat down and noticed Zhang Dadan still standing, so he tried to make small talk.
Seeing this, Li Xuanxuan imdiately got up and pulled Zhang Dadan by his arm to sit beside her.
“Zhang Dadan, why did you co so late today? I waited for you for so long!” Li Xuanxuan cuddled up to Zhang Dadan’s arm and giggled sweetly.

“Oh, stop asking and co upstairs quickly!” Mu Feiyan said while dragging Bai Jie along.
Once the three disappeared around the stair corner, Mu Zhuangfei said displeasedly, “Jiang Yun! What was that about? Why bring this up in front of the children?”
Jiang Yun’s actions stemd from deep affection for her husband, but she inadvertently hurt his pride.
