Overlord: Ancient one Chapter 15: New Avatar

After Arthur vanished from the Forest Giant land, he quickly made his way to Utgard, the capital city of JÖTUNHEIM. Then, he rented a room in the local pub and quietly customized his new avatar there.

Opening his system window, the image of his Demon Golem character was shown. Its looks were plain like a stone without much of a look.

Half-Golems are said to have a texture-less and smooth body when not much detail is put into their appearance. and it seems that can also be applied here.

Half-Golems are likely to have limitless endurance similar to the undead. As Half-Golems are considered constructs, they do not feel the need to go through either sleep or nourishnt. In a way, they are unable to suffer from the likes of fatigue. They also have immunity against mind control.

They are also said to possess incredible strength. Though their strength was inferior to pure Golems and as Demon Golem is a mutant class, they also possess a similar ability to Half-Golem, which make them ideal build for Job such as Warrior—due to their high stats in strength, Assassin—due to having high stats in agility.

As Arthur was making this class purely focus on Jobs such as Blacksmith, Artifact Making, etc. He didn't need to care about anything else.

Considering that he previously created the attractive, cool, and gentlemanly incubus character. He now wants to create sothing that appears cool, dangerous, and imposing even though the aforentioned characteristics have nothing to do with his Job class.

He took his Creator tool out of the inventory and started to edit his character.

He examined the finished character after completing his work. Its skin resembled a thick layer of black paint that had been applied to a rough piece of concrete that was covered in nurous tiny cavities. Instead of an eye, ear, or even a nose, it had a strange-looking tornado-like symbol covering half of its face in crimson, and another half of its face was covered in a great number of pointed predatory teeth.

Anyone who looks at his picture alone can tell he's dangerous from a mile away thanks to his cool, imposing appearance, which can only be described by the word "Badass."

As the job he intends to take is solely focused on craftsman-type jobs and he doesn't have much of a skill related to fighting, his appearance is the only thing he can describe as badass. If any other player steps into this role, it would be a very foolish move, as a ga character without fighting skills is equivalent to handing a headless chicken to a pack of wolves at this stage in ti when heteromorphic discrimination has begun to gain ground.

But Arthur didn't have to be feared because this is not his main build and craftsman-type jobs is non-combat job class, they have an entirely different level-up system—they get experience crafting item which is related to their job class like for example; for a blacksmith making weapons and armor give them experience, so he doesn't have to go to the front line of a battle in this avatar either.

However, high-caliber materials and information stones are required for the production of equipnt of high quality. The majority of players with high-quality materials and data crystals don't sell or give them to inexperienced crafters to try their luck, so those who only concentrate on craftsman-type jobs are unable to obtain these materials.

That is also the reason why solely focusing on craftsman-type jobs is not popular in YGGDRASILL as it narrows down the player's ability by a lot, instead most of the players prefer a build that has an equivalent balance between craftsman-type job and front-line fighter, which does not only help them scavenger materials for themselves but also help them to avoid PKing.

Arthur doesn't have to worry about the material or high-caliber data crystal as has a stock full of them laying in his inventory.
