[Aspect of Devil: Demon Claw.] Arthur's finger grew long and beca sharp black blade.

"Oh, shiny," Freed said.

"Are you ready, Freed?" Arthur said with a devious grin.

"For what."

"To beca live stokes." Arthur said with a wide smile.

"You arrogant basterd. Do you know who you are talking to? I am proud Descendant of Sigurd, You shitty devil." Freed said as he also summoned his light sword.

With that, he lunged forward, his light sword flashing as he swung it at Arthur's neck.

SHING!

The mont his blade t Arthur's claws, there was no clash, no resistance—just a clean, effortless cut.

Freed stumbled back, blinking in confusion. His light sword had been severed in two as if sliced by sothing far sharper than steel. The upper half of the blade clanged to the floor, disintegrating into particles of light.

His breath hitched. His crazed grin faltered as he stared at his ruined weapon.

"What…?" Freed muttered, gripping the broken heart in disbelief. "That's… impossible."

"Descendant of Sigurd? Don't make laugh." His voice was smooth, unbothered—like a king speaking to an insect. "Everything special about you ca from a test-tube, so don't ever make the mistake of considering yourself as the descendant of Sigurd. You just a failed experint created by Sigurd Institution."

Freed's eyes widened. The blood drained from his face. How the hell does he know that?

That information wasn't supposed to be public. Not even high-ranking devils knew about the church's darkest secrets.

If the truth got out, their entire reputation would crumble. It is not like Freed cares about church reputation, but if the word spreads, then the church will dispatch Inquisitors to hunt him.

And yet—this man in front of him spoke of it so easily, so casually, as if it were nothing more than common knowledge.

"You.." Freed swallowed hard, his crazy smile was gone from his mouth. "Who the hell are you?"

Arthur's smirk. He took a slow step forward; his glowing purple eyes burned like twin stars.

"?" Arthur mused. "You already know . You've read about in your Holy Bible."

Freed flinched, an instinctive reaction. His body was screaming at him to run, to escape—but his legs refused to move.

A cold sweat trickled down his spine as he forced himself to speak. "Tch… What, you're saying you're so big-shot from the Bible?" He attempted to sound dismissive, but the tremor in his voice betrayed him.

Arthur chuckled. "I like your reaction; it takes back to my old days when they saw as an object of fear. Anyway, since you're a priest, perhaps you'll understand if I speak in a language you respect."

Arthur began.

"Ezekiel 25:17...Old Testant"

No, devil can peach the holy bible; that's the common knowledge; no, that's the rule.

Freed's breath hitched as he knew what the man in front of him was going to say.

"When the path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil n."

Freed heartbeat thundered in his ears.

"Blessed is he who, in the na of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children."

Freed's knees felt weak. His body trembled involuntarily.

"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my righteous brothers."

A cold, invisible hand gripped Freed's throat. His knees buckled. He couldn't breathe.

"When I shall lay my vengeance upon them, they shall know that I was their king... their one and only king."

A deathly silence followed.

Freed's entire body shivered uncontrollably.

His vision blurred. His knees buckled.

His instincts scread the truth he didn't want to accept.

He didn't just hear those words.

He felt them.

As if they were a divine decree.

As if they were spoken by sothing or soone that had been here long before heaven or hell.

Freed's mouth opened, but no words ca out.

Then—

A whisper escaped his lips.

His voice trembled, barely above a breath.

"You're… Ancient One."
