The monster summoned by Lakshmi was Tsunamite, a Rank A monster. It possessed the appearance of a giant insect standing on two legs at around 1.5 ters tall. Its massive claws looked extrely sharp, while water continuously flowed from the shell on its back and stread down onto the ground.
anwhile, Jermain summoned Zappolar, a Rank A polar bear monster. Purple electricity constantly crackled across the spiky fur on its back and large claws. When standing upright, its size reached nearly two ters tall.
Lastly, Ovan summoned Scarvym, a Rank A dinosaur-like monster standing around 2.5 ters tall. Its body was covered in red scales alongside rows of sharp spikes running along its back. The mont Oliver saw flas escaping from its nostrils every ti it breathed, he imdiately recognized it as a fla-elental beast.
’Looks like all of them possess elental beasts as their monsters. And each one is also relatively high-ranked. As expected from academy students.’ Oliver thought while observing the monsters carefully.
Even Travers and his group looked visibly shocked after seeing the three monsters before them. Compared to their own Rank C monsters, the monsters owned by Ovan’s group were on a completely different level in terms of both power and potential.
"Hahaha! Don’t look so shocked in front of us.We already know our evolved monsters are far too amazing for people like you. So just stand back and watch what they can do." Ovan laughed proudly.
"So those are all evolved monsters, no wonder they look so strong." Travers said while staring at the three monsters in amazent.
To evolve a monster, a tar needed to feed it Spirit Cores. These cores were dropped by monsters inside dungeons and were considered extrely valuable resources.
Spirit Cores were generally divided into four grades: Low, dium, High, and Ultimate Grade.
Naturally, nobles and people with high social status possessed far greater access to Spirit Cores. Because of that, their monsters could evolve much more easily and faster compared to the monsters owned by ordinary commoners.
As for Oliver, Spirit Cores were basically useless to him. Boss Monsters differed greatly from normal monsters when it ca to growth and evolution.
Fortunately for him, the system provided Dominion Cores instead, a superior type of core specifically ant for Boss Monsters under his control.
"GRAARRR!!"
Brugrove suddenly roared furiously before lifting the massive tree in its hand and swinging it in a wide circular motion toward Ovan’s group, who stood closest to it.
"Scarvym!" Ovan shouted loudly. Instantly, his monster rushed forward and smashed the incoming tree aside using its hardened head, causing the massive trunk to shatter away violently.
"Zappolar! Zap Slash!" Jermain ordered imdiately afterward. His monster dashed forward at incredible speed, leaving trails of purple lightning behind it.
In just a second, Zappolar arrived beside Brugrove and slashed both of its claws across the monster’s arm.
"GRAARR!!"
Brugrove roared painfully after its left arm was wounded. However, the attacks did not stop there.
Tsunamite received Lakshmi’s command and imdiately released a large stream of water from its body toward Brugrove. Soon, a massive pool of water gathered around the monster’s feet.
"Jermain!" Lakshmi shouted.
"There’s no need to yell! I already know!" Jermain shouted back irritably. He imdiately ordered Zappolar to release its electricity directly into the water surrounding Brugrove.
ZOOOM!!
The electricity instantly spread throughout the water and struck Brugrove’s entire body.
"GRAAAARR!!"
Brugrove was imdiately stunned and immobilized from the powerful electric shock. Smoke began rising from its leafy body as sparks crackled across its surface.
"Scarvym, Flaming Blast!" Ovan shouted, finishing the combo attack. Scarvym opened its massive mouth before condensing a huge ball of flas within it.
The flaming projectile blasted directly into Brugrove and sent the giant monster crashing violently into nearby trees, causing several of them to collapse.
Flas quickly began spreading across parts of the surrounding forest. Fortunately, Tsunamite imdiately released water to extinguish the spreading fire before it could grow worse.
"Impressive..." Brie muttered in amazent after witnessing their coordinated combo attack. There was practically no way an ordinary monster could escape such an assault.
Even Travers and Rusti looked stunned by the level of teamwork displayed by the academy students. Their own teamwork would probably never reach that level unless they obtained much stronger monsters themselves.
"How was it? Were you all amazed by our performance? And this is only a small portion of our abilities, you know. We’re not even serious yet." Ovan smirked proudly while glancing toward Travers’s group.
"Heh, it’s only a Rank A boss." Oliver quietly muttered under his breath.
Ovan and the others imdiately widened their eyes after hearing Oliver’s words.
"What did you just say? Only Rank A? Did I hear that correctly?" Lakshmi asked angrily. Among the three of them, she was actually the quickest to lose her temper.
"Yes. It’s only Rank A. There’s really nothing that impressive about it." Oliver replied calmly without changing his expression.
For Oliver, a Rank A boss monster was indeed considered powerful. However, compared to the Rank S monsters he had already encountered before, it honestly did not feel that overwhelming anymore.
With his current strength, Oliver genuinely believed he could easily defeat a Rank A boss monster using only his monsters.
"The way you’re talking..."
"Does that an you’ve already defeated a Rank A boss monster before?" Jermain asked while narrowing his eyes suspiciously.
"Yup. Even alone, I can probably defeat one by myself." Oliver answered casually.
"This guy is seriously hallucinating. Hahaha!" There’s absolutely no way soone your age can defeat a mutated Rank A boss alone. Keep dreaming." Ovan then waved his hand dismissively before turning around and walking away together with his group.
Flora rely smiled playfully after hearing Ovan’s arrogant words.
"Look at how proudly weak people praise themselves." she muttered softly.
Suddenly, a strange movent ca from the supposedly defeated boss monster. A bright green light suddenly erupted from Brugrove’s body as cracks rapidly began spreading across its entire form.
Travers’ eyes instantly widened in horror after noticing it.
"Everyone! That boss isn’t dead yet! I-It’s evolving!" he shouted loudly.
Every single person present, including Oliver was completely shocked.
