I stepped forward, my eyes narrowing at Riser. "Watch your mouth, bird brain. You're lucky you get to leave here unscathed today."
Riser's smirk turned into a sneer. "Big words from soone who's not even a Devil. Let's see if you can back them up in the ga."
"We'll see who has the last laugh," I shot back.
Riser starts laughing at my reply as if he finds it amusing.
"Then this match will be a laugh. Only Rias's [Queen], the 'Priestess of Thunder,' can fight on par with my adorable servants."
Saying that, Riser clicks his fingers, and the magic-circle on the floor glows. The magic-circle has the sa emblem of Phoenix that Riser appeared from. Then shadows appear from the magic-circle.
One by one, Riser's servants materialize, each more imposing than the last. There's Yubelluna, the "Bomb Queen," with her long purple hair and cold eyes.
Then there's Xuelan, a martial artist with an intimidating aura, and Isabela, a tall woman with a fierce deanor. Each servant radiates confidence, clearly used to winning.
"Well, these are my cute servants."
Around Raiser who said that, 15 people that seems to be his servants gathers around him.
It seems like High-class Devils receives 15 [Evil Pieces] from Maou. You can form a master and servant relationship by using it to those who you want to make as your servant.
If the person you wish to make your servant has high potential capacities, then the chess consumption can be doubled.
That's why there are cases where there is only 1 [Rook] or 1 [Knight].
Rias also had the sa incident. That is Issey. Every king can get a maximum of 8 [Pawns], but Rias used all 8 pieces on Issey because there is an extrely fiendish thing within her.
That's why there are High-class Devils that doesn't have 15 servants. But Raiser has the maximum number of 15 servants.
It's a magnificent view to see all 16 Devils including the [King].
But just as I said before because all the Riser peerage only took one piece they don't have the potential that of Rias's Peerage.
But even with that much potential on Rias Side, she won't able to win against Riser.
The reason to that is quite simple because Rias is lazy to put all the hardwork necessary to make use of her Peerage full potential.
I am in no position to tell Rias what's right or wrong. If we take our characters at base value for comparison, then without a doubt, Rias is at the top of the list.
Even though she is lazy and acts spoiled, nobody can deny the fact that she will go to any length to protect her peerage, even at the cost of her own comfort.
And not going to lie, a girl who is willing to put her life on the line to protect her family is more than enough to be loved.
Her boobs indeed played a role, which I can't deny.
However, the potential in Rias's peerage is largely untapped. They need guidance, training, and the drive to push beyond their limits.
And that's where I co in. If Rias can harness the true power of her team, they'll be unstoppable. But it ans stepping out of her comfort zone and embracing the hard work required to reach that level.
Only then she can achieve victory for her own freedom.
Riser's arrogance blinds him to the weaknesses in his own peerage. He relies too much on their numbers and their ability to regenerate.
He underestimates the power of determination and the strength that cos from fighting for sothing you truly believe in.
I do love to break his fighting spirit in a match but I am outsider in this match so I can't participate in the rating ga unless Riser himself allows .
"et my peerage," Riser said smugly. "Each of them is more than a match for your pathetic team."
I glanced at Rias, who stood tall and unyielding despite Riser's taunts. Her eyes t mine, I just smiled at her.
"Seems like you made a harem for yourself, Riser, instead of fighters," I said, letting a hint of amusent creep into my voice.
"You must be jealous," Riser mocked. "Figured, after all, you wouldn't be able to get yourself a harem even if you lived for a hundred years."
Hearing him, I started to laugh out loud. It was the funniest thing I had ever heard.
"Jealous? Of that?" I said, wiping a tear from my eye. "You know, Riser, that's the funniest thing I ever heard. Look even Rias is laughing at your joke."
Before thing could get ssy, Grayfia interfere once again.
"Enough. The terms have been set, and the ga will proceed. Rias, Riser, prepare your teams."
"Rias, how about we have a match in 10 days? We could do it now, but that wouldn't be interesting."
"...Are you giving a handicap."
"No, but the next one is, Your na was Alexander, Right. I am giving you right to participate in this Rating Ga, I will show you the consequences for mocking a noble Family of Devil." Riser said.
You like to dig your own grave, Didn't you, Riser?
