After Shinobu dropped us off at the Butterfly Mansion, she quickly left, claiming she had so pressing matters to attend to. Her departure left alone with Shalltear, Lupusregina, and Yuki.
While the two forr were as composed as ever, I couldn't shake the feeling that Shalltear had sothing less professional on her mind. The subtle smirk on her lips and the way she kept glancing my way suggested she was ready to get "freaky" in the bed, as they say.
But now was not the ti for that. There were more pressing matters to address, particularly with Yuki.
Yuki, my newly turned vampire bride, hadn't said much since her transformation. Her eyes lingered on with a mixture of curiosity, awe, and confusion. I didn't need to use any spell or ability to sense what she was thinking. Our bond as master and bride gave a direct link to her thoughts, and her mind was buzzing with questions.
Who are you really? Where are you from? What does it an to be a vampire? What's my purpose now?
Her questions were valid, and I'd been putting off answering them long enough. This was as good a ti as any to clear the air.
"Yuki," I said, turning to face her. "Let's sit down. I believe you have a lot of questions for , and it's ti I answer them."
Yuki hesitated, her wide eyes betraying both excitent and apprehension. She nodded and followed to the wooden veranda overlooking the garden. Shalltear and Lupusregina remained behind, giving us so privacy. I could feel Shalltear's amused gaze on my back, but she didn't intervene. For now, at least.
Once seated, I leaned back slightly, resting my arms on the wooden rail. Yuki fidgeted beside , unsure of where to start. Her emotions flitted through our bond like a whirlwind: confusion, fear, curiosity, and an undeniable pull toward that she didn't yet fully understand.
"You can ask anything," I said, breaking the silence. "I'll answer as truthfully as I can."
She took a deep breath, steeling herself. "Okay... first, who are you? I an, I know your na, but... where are you really from? You're not like anyone I've ever t."
I smiled faintly. It was a fair question. "I'm not from this world, Yuki. I co from a place far, far away. A different world entirely. One where the rules of reality are different from here."
Her eyes widened. "A different... world?"
She has heard him talking to Kagaya about different world but hearing it directly form her lord mouth is different matter.
"It's hard to explain in a way that makes sense," I admitted. "But think of it like this: there are countless worlds out there, each one unique. I'm what you might call a traveler. I have the ability to move between these worlds. This world is simply the latest I've co to."
She processed that for a mont before asking, "Why did you co here?"
"Because this world intrigued ," And this world has so hot waifus. I said the second half to my self. "Its struggles, its people, the looming threat of Muzanette... there's so much potential here. Potential to grow, to learn, and to help. And"—I gave her a small smile—"to et people like you."
She blushed slightly at that but didn't let it distract her. "Okay... so you're from another world. But what about vampires? What does it an to be one? And... what am I now?"
"Ah, vampires," I said, sitting up straighter and eting Yuki's curious gaze. "Vampires are creatures of the night, beings who surpass humans in strength, speed, and senses. They are nearly immortal—similar to demons in that regard—but their nature is fundantally different. Their lifespans far exceed those of mortals, and their power grows over ti. However, their existence is not without limitations."
"Limitations?" she echoed.
I nodded "Vampires require blood to sustain themselves. It's the core of their strength, the essence that keeps them from deteriorating. Without it, they weaken, their bodies begin to decay, and their minds fall to madness. Blood is their lifeline."
Yuki's face fell slightly, the thought clearly troubling her. "So... I'll have to hurt people? I'll have to take their blood?"
"Not exactly," I said, holding up a hand to calm her. "Normally, that would be true. Most vampires are bound by that limitation, forever reliant on others for sustenance. But you're not like most vampires, Yuki. You are my vampire bride, which makes you unique. Unlike others of your kind, you do not need to take blood to survive."
Her brow furrowed in confusion. "Why not?"
"Because you are part of my direct bloodline," I explained. "And I am no ordinary vampire. I am the God of Bloodlines. My power transcends the natural limitations of vampires, and as my bride, you share in that blessing. Your body will sustain itself without the need for human blood. You are free from that hunger."
Her eyes widened, a mix of relief and disbelief washing over her. "Really? I won't... have to hurt anyone?"
"Not unless you choose to," I said with a small smile. "The choice is yours, Yuki. While blood can make you stronger or help you recover faster, it is not a necessity for your survival. That freedom is part of the gift I've given you."
She relaxed visibly, the weight of her earlier fears lifting from her shoulders. "That's... that's amazing," she murmured. "But why ? Why did you choose ?"
I leaned back slightly, letting the question linger in the air before answering. "Because you are sexy."
