As I spoke with Shalltear and Lupusregina, I suddenly sensed a familiar presence approaching. Turning my head slightly, I saw Tanjiro walking toward , his usual bright and determined expression present. But what caught my attention the most was the figure trailing behind him.
Nezuko.
She was human again.
Her once demonic eyes had returned to a soft, warm brown, and her pale skin now had a healthy glow. She was dressed in a simple kimono, though I couldn’t help but notice how well it suited her. More than that, I couldn’t deny that she looked... stunning.
And was it just my imagination, or was she blushing at ?
No, maybe I was overthinking it. After all, she had just gone through a major transformation. But still, her eyes seed to linger on longer than necessary.
I put the thought aside as Tanjiro finally reached . His expression was filled with gratitude, and before I could say anything, he suddenly dropped to his knees, his hands pressing against the ground as he prepared to bow deeply.
"Alex-san, thank you for turning Nezuko back into a human!"
I reacted instantly, reaching out to stop him before his head could touch the ground. With a firm but gentle grip, I lifted him back up to his feet.
"Hey, there’s no need to go that far," I said, shaking my head. "If you really want to thank , just buy a bowl of ran or sothing."
Tanjiro blinked, then let out a small laugh. "I would gladly buy you all the ran you want, Alex-san. But still, I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am."
I waved him off, not particularly interested in any dramatic displays of gratitude. "Enough about that," I said, shifting the conversation to sothing more important. "There are no side effects, right? Like I told you before, I wasn’t completely sure if everything would go smoothly."
While I was confident in my abilities, there was always a small chance of unexpected consequences.
Tanjiro’s expression turned slightly awkward. "Well... about that..."
I raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
Tanjiro hesitated for a mont before glancing back at Nezuko, who had been standing quietly behind him the entire ti. She suddenly tensed, and before I knew it, she quickly ducked behind her brother, peeking at from behind his shoulder with a deep blush on her face.
"Ever since she regained consciousness," Tanjiro continued, scratching the back of his head, "she’s been saying that she needs to et you... and that she feels like she has to be near you."
I turned my attention fully to Nezuko, who let out a small squeak before hiding further behind Tanjiro. Her face was completely red, and she refused to et my gaze.
Huh.
That was... unexpected.
I frowned slightly, considering the possibilities. When I had used my blood to cure her, I was 95% sure there wouldn’t be any lingering effects.
Could there be so sort of subconscious connection? Which I can’t detect.
I glanced at Shalltear, who had been watching the entire exchange with mild interest. "What do you think?" I asked her.
Shalltear tilted her head, her lips curling into a knowing smirk. "Well, my Lord, if your blood is as powerful as I suspect, it’s entirely possible that she’s developed so sort of attachnt to you. After all, you didn’t just heal her—you changed her entire being. That kind of thing doesn’t always co without... consequences."
I sighed. "Great. So now what?"
Lupusregina chuckled. "Well, my Lord, if she wants to be near you so badly, why not just keep her close?"
I shot her a look. "That’s not the issue here."
Tanjiro, clearly concerned for his sister, looked between Nezuko and . "Alex-san, do you think she’s okay? I an, she doesn’t seem to be in pain or anything, but..."
I crossed my arms, thinking for a mont. "No, she’s fine. If there were any negative effects, we would’ve noticed them by now. It’s probably just an instinctual reaction to my blood. Give it ti—it’ll fade eventually."
Or at least, that’s what I hoped.
Still, I had to admit, the way Nezuko was clinging to her brother, refusing to look at directly, was kind of amusing.
Deciding to test things a bit, I took a single step closer to her.
Imdiately, Nezuko tensed up, her grip on Tanjiro’s sleeve tightening. But at the sa ti, her blush deepened, and I swore I saw her bite her lip slightly before looking away.
Interesting.
"You sure she’s okay, Tanjiro?" I teased. "She looks more flustered than anything else."
"Alex-san!" Tanjiro exclaid, clearly flustered himself. "Please don’t tease her!"
Nezuko let out a small noise and buried her face into Tanjiro’s back.
Looking at her, I need to see her character sheet.

I sighed. "You two aren’t helping."
Nezuko peeked at again, her face still red. This was going to be troubleso, wasn’t it?
For now, though, I decided to let it go. If Nezuko really needed to be near , there wasn’t much harm in it. At the very least, she didn’t seem to be in distress—just embarrassed.
"Alright, we’ll figure this out later," I said. "For now, Nezuko, if you want to stay close to , I won’t stop you. But if you ever feel uncomfortable or anything, let know, alright?"
Nezuko hesitated, then slowly nodded.
Tanjiro let out a breath of relief. "Thank you, Alex-san. I’ll keep an eye on her as well."
