Solution
"You... Who are you? A mithril-ranked adventurer? No, an orichalcum?" His voice cracked as he took a step back. "There shouldn’t be anyone like you in this city! Did you co here for Clentine? Or for ?"
Solution simply smiled, pressing a gloved hand against her cheek. "Oh my. Panicking already? How disappointing. I thought a maggot like you would squirm a little longer."
Khajiit’s nostrils flared. "You... you...!"
The skeletal dragon shuddered, its form barely holding together as negative energy tried to nd the acid’s damage. Solution cocked her head. "Oh? So it can be healed."
Ignoring her mocking tone, Khajiit began chanting, pouring every ounce of power he could into the dragon. "Reinforce Armor! Less Strength! Undead Fla! Shield Wall!"
Layer after layer of dark energy wrapped around the skeletal beast, reinforcing its body, strengthening its attacks, and coating its claws in an eerie black fire. Its hollow eye sockets burned a brighter shade of green, and it stomped forward, its steps shaking the ground.
But Solution simply sighed. "You’re quite persistent. How boring."
Khajiit gritted his teeth. He couldn’t afford to lose. He had dedicated years to his goal. If he failed here, then all his efforts—everything he had done for his mother—would be for nothing.
"I won’t lose to a woman who doesn’t even take this seriously!" He snarled, raising his staff high.
Then he acted.
"—Orb of Death!"
The air itself seed to distort. Negative energy gathered in a swirling vortex, and the ground trembled violently. A second skeletal dragon erged, its massive fra towering beside the first.
Solution blinked. "Oh?"
The new skeletal dragon roared, its ancient bones clattering as it stretched its wings. Its re presence filled the air with malice.
Khajiit wiped the sweat from his brow. "Now... let’s see if you can handle two at once!"
Solution chuckled. "My, my... You’re working so hard." She took a step forward, her gloved fingers flexing. "I almost feel bad for you."
Just then—
A gust of wind swept through the graveyard. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed in the distance, followed by a voice—smooth, commanding, and laced with amusent.
"My, my... What a ss you’ve made, Solution."
Khajiit froze.
He knew that voice.
Erging from the darkness, a tall figure with a sword on his hip approached. His crimson eyes glead with an eerie light. At his side was Clentine.
Khajiit’s gaze darted to Clentine, who walked beside Alex with a smirk on her lips, her golden eyes glinting in the dim light. Blood stained her clothes, but she moved without restraint, as if she hadn’t just lost a battle.
Khajiit clenched his fists. "You..." His voice trembled with barely suppressed rage. "Why?" His breath was ragged. "Why did you betray , Clentine!?"
Clentine tilted her head, as if amused by his outburst. "Betray?" She chuckled, crossing her arms. "Oh, Khajiit, you don’t get it, do you?" She took a step forward, her smirk widening. "I was never really on your side to begin with. I was just using you for entertainnt."
Khajiit’s eye twitched. "You used !?"
Clentine rolled her shoulders. "Don’t take it too personally." She flicked her gaze toward Alex. "Besides, he made an offer I couldn’t refuse."
Alex smirked. "And she was smart enough to accept it." His gaze shifted to Solution. "Now then..."
Solution, who had been watching the exchange with an amused smile, perked up as Alex turned to her.
"Finish this."
Solution’s expression twisted into sothing eerily delighted. She placed a hand on her cheek, her golden eyes gleaming. "Oh my... Alex-sama, you truly know how to make a girl happy."
Khajiit gritted his teeth. "You dare underestimate !?" He roared, his fingers clutching his staff tightly. "I still have my creations!" He pointed at the two skeletal dragons beside him. "You cannot possibly—"
Solution took a step forward.
And then she changed.
Her humanoid form lted away, her body twisting and expanding into an amorphous mass of writhing sli. Her dress, adventurer’s dress, dissolved into her body, and what was left was a towering, semi-transparent creature. The air filled with an unnatural squelching sound as countless tendrils sprouted from her shifting form.
Khajiit stumbled back in horror. "What... what are you!?"
Solution did not answer with words.
Her tendrils shot forward.
The skeletal dragons, massive as they were, barely had ti to react. Solution’s body expanded, swallowing them whole. The bones sizzled as they dissolved inside her, the dark magic rendering them utterly useless against her acidic composition. The dragons let out soundless roars before vanishing into bubbling sludge.
Khajiit’s horror turned into panic. "No! NO! THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING!"
Solution’s attention turned to him.
Countless tendrils rushed forward, wrapping around his limbs. He scread as they coiled around his body, tightening like hungry serpents.
"W-Wait! Stop! I can—!"
Solution pulled.
His flesh began to dissolve instantly. His robes, his magic, his very existence was reduced to nothing. His screams were choked as his throat lted, his arms disintegrated, and his body vanished into Solution’s acidic form.
Within seconds, Khajiit was gone.
The graveyard, once filled with undead and the booming presence of skeletal dragons, was now eerily silent. The only sound was the slow shifting of Solution’s sli as she returned to her humanoid form.
She smoothed out her uniform and placed a hand over her stomach. "Mmm~ He was unpleasant, but at least he had so magical essence in him." She sighed contently before turning back to Alex. "That was fun, Alex-sama. Shall we head back?"
Clentine, who had been watching with wide eyes, finally spoke. "What... what kind of monster is she?"
Alex chuckled, glancing at Solution. "A rather efficient one."
Solution smiled innocently. "Ara, ara~ Clentine-san, you wound . I’m just a humble servant of my beloved master."
Clentine shuddered.
She was used to monsters. She had killed countless people, fought strong opponents, and relished the thrill of battle.
But this?
This was sothing else entirely.
