After engaging in combat with Draven for a few minutes, he ca to several conclusions.

One of them was that Draven had only newly awakened. As a result, even though he had grown stronger at an astonishing speed, he was still very inexperienced when it ca to actual combat.

He fell for simple tricks, one after another, and lost his composure whenever sothing unexpected occurred.

By exploiting that weakness, it was not difficult to subdue him after a while.

The wind blew across the street, which had fallen into complete silence as everyone focused entirely on the fight between the two.

Since the fog in the area had already cleared, the rays of the afternoon sun bathed the street, clearly revealing the outco of the battle.

Draven was now on the ground, restrained by a group of thirteen clones that pinned him down and completely restricted his movents.

Standing in front of him was none other than Marlon, his expression calm, steady, and composed.

Draven gnashed his teeth, hatred and anger burning openly in his reddened eyes as he glared up at Marlon.

His luminous muscle enhancent skill had already deactivated, and his body had returned to its normal appearance.

"Let go!"

He bellowed.

His usual calm had completely shattered as the realization finally dawned on him. He would be taken away, and this ti, without his sister.

"You caused all this,"

Marlon said in a calm and unwavering voice.

"I already told you how this would end if you chose to fight . You made your choice, and now you must face the consequences."

Draven listened, and his facial expression crumbled even further.

"But I am not inconsiderate,"

Marlon continued.

"If you stop resisting and remain calm, I will allow you to bring your sister along."

Hearing those words, Draven’s expression softened slightly as he began to seriously consider the offer.

Could he trust Marlon?

He wondered.

Now that his emotions had finally settled, another question surfaced in his mind, one that he could not simply ignore.

Why was Marlon taking him to the Hunter Association?

But just as the thought arose—

A voice rang out, terrifyingly loud.

"Who would’ve thought we would et again so soon?"

Draven’s eyes sparked as he recognized the voice imdiately.

All heads turned toward its direction.

It was coming from the roof of the massive black tower.

The mont their eyes found the speaker, everyone gasped.

"T-that..."

So of them felt their bodies shiver at the sight.

Sandra and the other hunters imdiately grabbed their weapons while the magic users began preparing their attacks.

The being they were seeing—

It was one that should never have been seen again.

Marlon did not react to the voice at first, but upon hearing the reactions from those around him, he slowly turned to look. His eyes imdiately furrowed.

Purple skin. Sword-like ears.

"Lunaris..."

He muttered coldly as he shifted his attention toward the Lunaris who was looking down at him with unmistakable hatred.

Marlon recognized him from his build and facial structure.

He was one of the challengers at the competition, more precisely, the leader.

Zareth.

"Surprised?"

Zareth let out coldly.

He stepped off the edge of the towering structure and descended nonchalantly, landing with a thundering thud that sent a massive cloud of dust flying.

The cloud obscured the vision of the onlookers.

But as it slowly began to clear, Zareth’s features revealed themselves.

Those who had thought they were rely imagining things were finally forced to grasp reality, and it was not one they had expected.

Zareth ignored them completely, his entire attention focused solely on Marlon and Draven.

Marlon observed him in silence.

He activated Inspect.

[ Zareth ]

[ Race: Lunaris ]

[ Threat Level: A ]

[ Talent: Shadow ]

He had grown stronger—far stronger.

The last ti they had t, Zareth was only D-rank, yet now he stood at A-rank.

It was shocking.

But at the sa ti, sothing beca clearer to him.

The reason he had sensed Lunaris aura on Draven was because of him.

The exact explanation was still unknown.

Nonetheless, he would find out.

"Are you surprised to see alive?"

Zareth asked in a taunting voice.

"Not entirely."

Marlon responded, never taking his eyes off him.

"That hurts... but it’s good to see that your sense of humor hasn’t changed. It will be a lot of fun to kill you."

Zareth grinned maniacally.

"That’s a lot coming from soone who cowered away at the mont his race needed him the most. How does it feel being the only one of your race still alive?"

Zareth’s grin did not falter in the slightest.

"You really believed your hero wiped out my entire race? How foolish. I expected you to be smarter than that."

No wonder he doesn’t react. He believes his people are still alive.

Marlon couldn’t help but feel a trace of pity.

"It’s good that you’re using delusions to keep your mind intact,"

He replied calmly.

"But I have a question. What did you do to him?"

He pointed at Draven.

Zareth glanced briefly at Draven before smiling.

"Is giving soone a gift considered evil?"

He continued casually.

"You can ask him yourself. I gave him sothing he desired—power."

Then he turned toward the Black Brothers, especially those without talents, whom he easily recognized.

"I am generous. If any of you desire the chance to change your destiny from being weak and pathetic humans into apex beings, you can contact ."

The hateful expressions on the hunters’ faces deepened as they heard those words. Right before their eyes, this amphibian-looking alien dared to utter such nonsense.

Marlon did not react.

For one, he was curious about how Zareth could actually fulfill such claims.

He had already been curious about Draven. Now, after hearing those words, that curiosity only deepened.

"Anyway, scratch that. I ca here for you."

Zareth’s expression turned cold.

The revenge he had sought and ticulously plotted for had finally arrived.
