Now reading: Chapter 188: The End Of Aurax (2) from Overpowered Awakening: I Became Invincible With A Broken Talent, a Sci-fi novel by Deathsketcher.

Nox activated his ability.

Two shadow pits appeared in the middle of their formation simultaneously.

At that instant, the two Aurax were sucked out, including the Bone Dragon that was swallowed by the shadow pit alongside its master.

The mont the two Aurax appeared, they lashed out.

The Dragon Tar commanded his Bone Dragon to charge toward the golden spaceship in the air while he himself began transforming into a dragon. A black one.

The Feral Aurax, whose face had twisted in anger, launched toward Marlon, its eyes burning with killing intent as it closed the distance within a tenth of a second.

But Marlon was already prepared. He used a little bit AURA OF DEATH and an unseen misty layer of energy wrapped around his body, visible only to his targets.

The Feral Aurax’s running speed slowed slightly as a fearful expression appeared on its face. Nonetheless, it forced itself forward, gritted its teeth, closed the distance, and struck with its fist.

"Aetheric Punch..."

Marlon fearlessly counterattacked with his newly obtained skill, and their fists connected.

The ABSORB effect activated instantly. Most of the damage that should have been dealt to him, including the force that should have sent him flying several streets away, was consud through his fist.

Marlon quietly converted the absorbed damage into a boost in strength.

The Aurax’s eyes widened in shock that its attack had failed. Marlon flexed his arm and struck back.

With a resounding boom, the Feral Aurax was blasted backward at a speed that distorted the air and cleared several buildings as it tumbled over a dozen streets away.

Marlon used [Flash], propelling himself toward its new location.

anwhile..

ROARRRRRRRR!!

In the sky, a black-scaled dragon, much bigger and more terrifying than the Bone Dragon, appeared and let out a thunderous roar that made the entire region tremble.

The Black Dragon’s eyes scanned the area and landed on Nox, who sat unbothered on a small boulder, observing the events taking place around him.

The Black Dragon could already tell he was the one who had used the skill that sent them into the void, so it instantly launched at him.

Nox let out a sigh and stood up.

At the sa ti..

BANG!

Liora fired her self-forged weapon at the Bone Dragon chasing their golden spaceship.

A single beam of multi-colored light, composed of different elents, traced through the air and precisely blasted the head of the Bone Dragon.

It let out a loud blood-curdling shriek indicating its pain and rage.

It changed trajectory imdiately, abandoning the spaceship that housed Orion, who stood at the edge with a calm expression despite the fact that he had just been chased by a Bone Dragon, a feared abnormality that his mind and soul control abilities could not affect since it had none.

With another rageful cry, it descended toward Liora’s position.

Solan, in his inferno form, left Liora’s side and ascended toward it.

He swiftly transford into his real form when he reached a critical part of the Bone Dragon’s body. A nacing gauntlet of inferno ford over his right fist as he struck.

The force of his punch sent the Bone Dragon crashing to the ground. The bones forming the section Solan had struck burned and lted away as it finally slamd into the earth.

Nonetheless, just as it landed, it blasted itself back up. The bones that had lted away instantly regenerated and returned to their normal state as though they had not received a single scratch.

"Interesting.."

Solan transford again and blasted at it.

.....

Nox could feel the rage burning in the eyes of the massive dragon attacking him. The closer it ca, the more intense the pressure beca.

But the Void Pathos young man remained unfazed.

When the Black Dragon opened its mouth and released a ball of condensed darkness, preparing to unleash it, Nox finally stretched his hand out calmly.

At that mont, a black rift as large as the attack that had just been created appeared in front of it.

It appeared at the sa ti the Black Dragon released the charge.

The black rift swallowed the attack as though it were nothing and vanished instantly.

The Black Dragon was puzzled and about to react, but it was already too late.

A shadow pit appeared beneath it, and the ball of condensed darkness that had been swallowed was spat out rcilessly, retaining both the speed and attack power it possessed before it disappeared.

Monts later, the Black Dragon was blasted into the clouds.

Nox sat back on the boulder and watched his colleagues.

Liora scread at Solan to get out of the way as she fired a beam of freezing energy, releasing a ray of bright blue light.

It connected precisely at the midsection of the Bone Dragon and that section froze instantly.

Solan followed imdiately and struck it. Since it was frozen, it shattered rapidly, and the Bone Dragon’s torso was divided into three parts that descended to the ground. One was the head and part of its upper body, the second was its frozen midsection, now shattered into fragnts, and the last was its lower body.

Liora and Solan both let out sighs of relief, believing it was dead.

Even according to research, Bone Dragons should not be able to revive after such destruction.

"It is still alive."

Nonetheless, before its body parts touched the ground, they heard Orion’s voice in their minds.

Confirming their leader’s words, the mont the pieces hit the ground, each bone, both shattered and intact, rged together rapidly and ford a new, untouched Bone Dragon that lunged toward Liora with bloodlust.

She had previously removed her hands from the trigger and loosened her stance. Trying to regain that posture now would have been too late.

Thankfully, her self-forged golden suit had been developed with escape technologies.

Like a rocket, flas combusted beneath her feet and her body shot straight into the sky.

Her escape occurred only a split second before the Bone Dragon’s strike landed.

Orion observed with a serious expression, his eyes darting between his two colleagues fighting the Bone Dragon and Nox, who effortlessly toyed with the enraged Black Dragon.

"You cannot kill it while its master is still alive, and you cannot kill its master either. Try to hold it back and wait."

Using telepathy, he communicated with Liora and Solan.

The two complied instantly.

Using the sa telepathic link, he directed the spaceship toward the location of Marlon and the Feral Aurax.

The new location was close to a vast river where a sturdy bridge stretched across it.

His eyes spiraled toward the battlefield between the Feral Aurax and Marlon.

....

"BASTARD!"

Marlon cursed furiously as he punched the Feral Aurax again, empowered by the strength amplification he had accumulated so far.

After exchanging over a dozen punches and smartly using ABSORB and CONVERT, he had amplified his strength nearly five tis over.

He felt more power in his hands than ever before.

With such amplification, his overall power was now comparable to a peak stage S-rank guardian, more or less.

Although this effect could only last for up to thirty minutes, it was undeniably overpowered.

The battered state of the Aurax was clear proof of that.

"Stand up.."

Marlon floated in the air and commanded coldly.

The Feral Aurax, buried dozens of feet in the ground, had not yet recovered.

Marlon could hear the sound of its coughing as it likely spat out blood.

But he did not care.

"I said STAND UP!"

He barked again, and this ti the Aurax finally complied and launched out of its temporary grave.

The robe it once wore, made of human body parts, was now torn and looked more like rags than clothing.

Its blood had stained the robe so heavily that it almost appeared dyed red.

Floating midair and staring at Marlon, its body began healing rapidly.

Marlon scoffed and used [Flash] to close the distance.

Although he could have easily struck without giving the Aurax ti to react in its current condition, Marlon deliberately held back.

The Aurax took it as a sign that Marlon had grown sluggish.

But instead of the result it expected, it received the sa outco it had been getting since the fight began.

Marlon remained standing, completely unhard, and the energy being passively emitted from his body grew stronger, as though his strength had doubled.
