Now reading: Chapter 63: Axel Storm [3] from Overpowered Awakening: I Became Invincible With A Broken Talent, a Sci-fi novel by Deathsketcher.

The three nobles, once prideful, now struggled to maintain the bare minimum focus to start their ship and flee. They grumbled fearfully, issued orders to one another with cracked voices, and their bodies shivered uncontrollably.

Each second, they turned to et the gentle but fierce gaze of the human hero, and each ti, the dread surged.

Axel Storm had a bored expression on his face that was hard to miss as he observed the scene within the ships that were supposed to be impenetrable to observers.

Heaving a small sigh, he spoke gently, "You three, step out."

Simple orders with a gentle voice, but the air seed to bow as his voice faded.

Not only that, the three nobles finally lost the will and strength to flee as they turned to observe one another.

Now that the human hero had issued an order to them directly, they found it absolute and difficult to resist.

They did not hesitate.

Nobles who commanded armies in the tens of thousands and ruled over millions were now obedient like mindless slaves.

The three of them left the cockpit, opened the ships, and stepped out of it.

They now floated midair.

But they could not et the gaze of Axel Storm as they bowed their heads to the ground fearfully like loyal servants in front of their master.

Axel Storm observed the three, annoyed to the core.

These three aliens had not only dared to invade his planet because they thought he was away, but they also wreaked havoc.

Axel Storm’s mind operated really fast as he weighed his comfort against the safety of the world that rested on his shoulder.

All he wanted at this point was to spend ti with his family as a normal, handso husband and caring father, far away from the boring wars and noisy dia.

It was the sole reason he had made the entire world believe he was out checking a new planet almost ten years ago, at the ti his wife was pregnant with Stormis.

Well, the planet part was not a complete lie.

He had actually visited a new planet to see if it was compatible with human lifeforms, but the journey was not so difficult as to spend a whole decade.

He only spent ti equivalent to around eight months on the new planet before returning to Arden on the day his son was born.

He never bothered to inform the Hunter Association and the entire world about his findings, as it would pose another series of unnecessary stress to him which was sothing he despised the most.

But now, seeing the current state of his world, he would have to drift out of his lazy lifestyle.

’What a drag...’

He intensified his focus on the three nobles, who were now shivering with their heads bowed.

’What to do with these pests?’ he wondered lazily.

So many options appeared, and he weighed the one that would be the least stressful to him before once again letting out a sigh—one of disappointnt this ti around. He seed to love the act of sighing.

"You three... Lead to your planet," he said plainly, but the authority and power he exhibited made it seem like a divine verdict.

The three nobles shivered.

Why did he want to visit their planet?

But could they really speak it out? No!

One of them managed to lift his head to answer for his colleagues, but once he t Axel’s eyes, he quickly returned to his submissive position before responding in a cracked and shaky voice.

"A-absolutely... we would take you to our planet."

"Good thinking," Axel responded. "Wait here."

Saying this, he rocketed toward the hunters still standing on the roof.

Crimson and the others were still gazing at his heavenly figure with reverence, most of them still in a bowing pose, and even Crimson held the unconscious body of her brother while kneeling.

Axel Storm arrived before them, his imnse aura flaring across, marking the area with his presence.

His eyes landed on Crimson.

"Where is the boy?" he asked.

The boy?

At this mont, Crimson, who was always at the peak of her rationality, found herself overthinking her answers out of instinct, in order not to give the wrong one.

She figured out the boy he was talking about was none other than Marlon, and she then responded.

But before she could even respond, Axel followed up with another question.

"Is he alright?"

Crimson shivered. She felt like she had committed a grave sin for simply not being able to respond to the first question asked, so this ti she quickly responded.

"M-Marlon is recovering. He was knocked unconscious by the aura of the noble at the beginning of the battle. He is currently undergoing treatnt not so far away from here," she responded as quickly and detailed as she could.

Axel observed her for a few seconds as she spoke. He knew the reason she was like that, and honestly, he couldn’t help it.

But he was relieved that Marlon was alive.

’Stormis would be glad to learn of this,’ he thought as a small smile crept onto his lips. But it vanished just as quickly as it ca, his face returning to its usual casual expression.

"I’ll be away on a short visit," he said calmly.

"All of you, take care of the ss and tell the people this—let them know the Lunaris won’t be back. This will be the last ti..."

He let the sentence die between them, watching their faces as they filled in the rest.

The eyes of Crimson and the other hunters behind her went wide open as they heard his words.

They understood what he ant, and it sent waves of happiness and relief surging through their bodies.

Axel observed their expressions shortly before turning to the Lunaris nobles, who still had their heads bowed and were shivering.

Even as he turned his back against them, none of them dared to nudge from their positions. They even seed to be holding their breath so as not to annoy him.

Axel closed the distance between them in a split second and then gave the order for them to begin their voyage to their planet.

The nobles cowered into a single spaceship, ignited the engine, and got it ready for launch—but they paused, waiting for him to join them inside.

"Move along, I’ll follow after you."

Axel responded coolly. He did not need a spacecraft to traverse space.

With his order, the nobles gulped anxiously before flaring the ship back to life and, in a bid not to disobey his command, blasted into the sky with astonishing speed—faster than any technology humans considered their fastest.

Axel gave them a few seconds’ head start before shooting toward them, vanishing into the clouds and out of human sight in a single second.

The hunters beneath watched the scene with awe, their mouths and eyes still agape.

After decades, they had finally witnessed the might of their strongest, and like every other ti, hope, joy, and even inspiration now filled their hearts.

They knew that whatever their Seeker planned to do, it would succeed.

There was no need to worry about his safety, only how long it would take him to return.
