Now reading: Chapter 66: Nonexistent from Overpowered Awakening: I Became Invincible With A Broken Talent, a Sci-fi novel by Deathsketcher.

The roars of dozens of warships getting ready for battle spread across a wide range like thunder. The barking of the nobles and generals issuing orders was drowned out by the loud chanical sounds, only their hand motions indicated what they were doing.

The over three thousand Lunaris, including the nobles and the generals, also prepared themselves to engage in combat after the weapons had finished disorienting their opponent. Their auras flared, and their weapons glead under bright daylight.

And the one for whom they prepared simply stared at them as a man would observe ants.

"Fire!"

He heard the collective noise of all the leaders issuing the last orders to fire, and seconds later, the screams faded as explosive sounds erupted.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

With more than fifty airships firing at once, the noise was terrifying. The blasts tore through the sky like furious dragons, filling the air with light and thunder. Explosions blood one after another, shaking the atmosphere as beams of pure energy rained endlessly toward Axel. The ground trembled, the clouds scattered, and the very air vibrated under the assault.

But Axel didn’t move.

He simply stood there, his golden aura faintly glowing around him, as every single attack vanished the mont it touched him. The explosions that could destroy mountains were like sparks fading into the wind.

From below, the nobles and generals froze in disbelief — the weapons they were proud and reliant on had failed to leave a single scratch on a human.

Just who was he?

The three nobles who had returned from Earth were still shivering, and with Axel’s current actions, their fear surged.

They wanted to speak and warn the others about the danger, but their teeth were clenched coldly, and the strength to utter anything had long left their bodies. Thoughts raced in their minds — how could anyone survive this? What hope remained?

The generals ordered the warships to fire once again, and with their instruction, the sa phenonon occurred. Just like the first round, all attacks dispersed into speckles of light when they collided with Axel’s energy.

They repeated the order, repeated the blasts, but all gave the sa result — nothing.

Axel finally grew annoyed by the attacks. He had already observed the planet to his satisfaction, now he could do what he ca here for.

Lazily, he stretched his right hand toward the vast army.

A tiny orb of swirling golden energy appeared, and as he began to input aether into it, the tiny orb grew massively.

The Lunaris army stared with awe as they watched his attack increase in size and power.

They could feel the heavy gust of air that erged as a result, and they all shivered.

Axel continued inputting aether, and after so ti, the ball grew so big that everyone across the Lunaris planet began to wonder why the sun had gotten so low.

"W-we’re dead!"

The three nobles cried out in weak voices. Having witnessed the sa attack wipe their entire army out on Arden, they knew its potency, and it was terrifying — sothing that none of them could survive against.

Panic and helplessness surged through them as they realized there was no escape.

Even the other Lunaris shivered uncontrollably, their teeth chattering as murmurs of fear rose, powerless against the coming devastation, but before it could escalate, Axel lazily released the massive energy ball he had gathered toward them.

The mont the golden sphere began to fall, the entire sky turned into blinding light. The clouds vanished in an instant, and the very air around the planet warped under the pressure.

The Lunaris scread, their voices mixing with the deafening roar that swallowed everything.

Countless warships tried to escape, engines blazing as they climbed higher into the sky — but none made it far. The instant the golden light touched them, they dematerialized and disintegrated from existence.

The generals and nobles activated every defense they had, including barriers, shields, and formations, but all of them shattered before the attack even reached full force.

The actual impact ca seconds later, and it was nothing short of devastating.

BOOOOOOM!!!

It happened in a matter of seconds.

Ti seed to slow as the impact spread across the massive planet.

The area where the massive ball of golden energy fell was imdiately disintegrated from reality.

Gigantic buildings, mountains, rivers, massive machinery, roads, and the lifeforms that existed there vanished as if they had never existed. None were granted the rcy of a final scream. Their final reaction was dread that rendered them speechless and immobile.

But the impact of Axel’s attack did not stop at just the area it covered. Like ink spreading on a blank sheet, the attack spread at astonishing speed.

Shockwaves, stronger than the explosive power of warships, swept across the remaining portion of the planet.

The shockwaves weren’t as strong as the main attack to completely erase everything, but their effect was still astronomical.

Everything crumbled to dust and ash.

Mountains and massive infrastructure collapsed imdiately.

Seas were dried and swallowed up.

The Lunaris were turned to ash.

In a matter of ten or so seconds, the entire Lunaris, twice the size of Arden, was reduced to nothing, leaving only a shadow of its once-prosperous past.

Floating above the destruction, unscathed, was the cause himself.

He scanned the planet, now a hollowed wasteland — its once gleaming surface charred and cracked like burnt glass.

The radiant cities that once shimred under the sun were gone, replaced by a dead sphere of drifting dust and molten craters.

The proud hum of technology and the endless chatter of life that once defined Lunaris had vanished completely. Not a single sound remained. No echo of machinery. No whisper of the wind — only eternal silence.

The destroyer let out a sigh of relief.

With the entire Lunaris nonexistent, he would get the chance to return to his identity as a normal human and enjoy a peaceful life.

A gentle smile tugged at his radiantly handso face, a rare mont of calm and satisfaction washing over him after the storm he had unleashed.

He observed his handiwork for a few seconds, then turned his back on the destruction and blasted into space.
