"Hello, Auntie!"
Yan Feifan greeted her very politely, then sat down properly on the living room sofa, looking just like a shy guest.

Having not eaten much since noon, the aroma of the food made him realize how ravenous he was.
Yan Feifan devoured the large bowl of wonton noodle soup and the entire plate of Kung Pao chicken, finally feeling much more comfortable.
He looked at Yu Suye, who had been sitting quietly beside him, watching him eat, and said slowly, "I was scared."
Yu Suye nodded. "I know. I’ve pushed you to accept so much these past few days, and then my mom suddenly showed up. It’s perfectly normal for you to be scared."

Yu Suye chuckled softly. "Does Ruoruo hit you often?"
Yan Feifan said, slightly embarrassed, "Not often. Just occasionally."
He quickly added, "It doesn’t hurt, either. It’s just her way of expressing her opinion."
"So, I always let her have her way. I don’t hold it against her."
Yu Suye smiled. "I know. You and Ruoruo have a really great relationship."
She added, "My brother and I have a great relationship, too."
After another mont of silence, Yu Suye said slowly, "My family knows we’re together. My mom ca here specifically to persuade to leave you."
"I expect my dad and my grandpa will probably co over, too..."
Noticing the muscles in Yan Feifan’s face begin to tense, Yu Suye quickly said, "Don’t worry, I’ll handle all of it."
"You just need to be yourself and confidently admit that you’re my boyfriend in front of them. That’s all."
Yan Feifan said "Oh," and stated, "That much, I can do."
He then asked with concern, "Um, besides trying to persuade you, what else will your family do to you?"
Yu Suye shook her head gently. "Aside from trying to guilt with our family ties, there’s not much else they can do."
"As for financially..."
"Ever since I started attending the family school, the various cash prizes I’ve won each year have been more than enough to support myself."

Yan Feifan grimaced. "So of the chief physicians at the Affiliated Hospital don’t even make that much in a year."
Yu Suye said, looking a bit troubled, "After I started working, my salary from Baining Hospital beca very low, only about twenty or thirty thousand a month."
"If it weren’t for the annual family dividend we get after starting our careers, that salary wouldn’t even cover my daily expenses."
Yan Feifan asked curiously, "How much are these dividends?"

The hospital was planning to negotiate with his family to see if they could get consent for organ donation.
Hearing this, Yan Feifan couldn’t help but reflect that the two girls’ persistence last night had been worthwhile after all.
To avoid running into Yu Suye’s mother, Yan Feifan ate breakfast out.
After breakfast, he didn’t go to the Affiliated Hospital. Instead, he took the subway, heading for Ren’ai Hospital.
Today, Yan Feifan had two freelance surgeries.
