On Wednesday morning, Qin Ying, Chen Yu, Yan Feifan, and Yu Suye gathered together again.
They discussed their individual progress on the penile reconstruction surgery research, as well as so new problems they had encountered.
Yu Suye once again proposed using the bisexual man who caused the tragedy as a test subject, a suggestion that Qin Ying and Chen Yu unanimously approved.
"Listen, Su Ye..."

Yan Feifan felt his entire worldview had been shaken.

Around eleven in the morning, Yan Feifan, who was busy in the teaching and research office, suddenly received a call from Liu Jin.
"You little rascal, you pulled a big move on without a word. Get over to my office right now."
Yan Feifan hung up, a little confused. He let Mrs. Qin know and hurried over to the general administration building.
After knocking and entering Mr. Liu’s office, Yan Feifan found three familiar faces inside besides Liu Jin.
One was Qin Feng, and another was Li Siqi, whom he had t at the General Hospital.
The third was Qu Ying from the Affiliated Hospital’s publicity departnt.
After a simple greeting, Liu Jin, beaming with shared pride, clapped Yan Feifan on the shoulder and chuckled. "Feifan, did you know?"
"Mr. Li ca all this way specifically to present you with a letter of appointnt as a specially-appointed expert."
This surprised Yan Feifan.
"Mr. Li, Dr. Qin, you could have just sent a digital copy of the certificate or mailed it. There was no need to make a special trip."
Li Siqi laughed heartily, then said seriously, "Without a proper ceremony, how could we demonstrate how much we value you, Dr. Yan?"
He reached out and took a red certificate with the gold-stamped words "Specially-Appointed Expert" from Qin Feng.
"Dr. Yan, on behalf of the PLA General Hospital, thank you for accepting our invitation to beco one of our hospital’s external dical experts."
Yan Feifan accepted the certificate solemnly and said humbly, "Thank you for your hospital’s recognition. It is a great honor."
Next, it was ti for photos.
Qu Ying, holding an SLR cara, took a few group photos of Yan Feifan holding the open certificate with Li Siqi, Liu Jin, and the others.
After the brief ceremony, Li Siqi, embodying the crisp and efficient work style of a soldier, politely declined Liu Jin’s invitation for a working lunch and promptly took his leave.
Yan Feifan, Liu Jin, and the others escorted their guests downstairs and watched them drive away.
Liu Jin retracted his gaze and looked at Yan Feifan beside him.
"Feifan, at just twenty-five years old and still a resident, you’ve jumped to the position of external expert for two renowned hospitals. That’s a remarkable honor."
He offered his praise but didn’t forget to lecture, "Feifan, I’m going to sound like a broken record, but don’t tune out."
"For you, this is just the beginning. You mustn’t beco arrogant or complacent. You need to keep working hard."
Yan Feifan replied with a well-behaved expression, "Professor, I understand."
"Baining Hospital and the PLA General Hospital hired with such high regard because I possess a puncture and injection technique that no one else has."
"I don’t want to rely on this one trick for my entire career."
Liu Jin smiled, gratified. "Feifan, I’m very pleased that you have such a clear-headed perspective and ambitious goals."
"Let remind you, our minimum expectation for you is to beco the youngest academician in the country."
Seeing that Qu Ying and the others had already gone back into the administration building, Liu Jin lowered his voice.
"Feifan, based on the information you provided last ti, I’m pretty sure I’ve identified our next hospital Party Committee Secretary..."
Yan Feifan looked at Liu Jin and listened as he continued, "ng Huaxin. He’s currently a mber of the Party Leadership Group and a Vice Director at the Binhai Health Commission."
"He used to be a vice president at the City First People’s Hospital."
Yan Feifan grunted in acknowledgnt and asked, "Professor, has it been announced internally?"
Liu Jin shook his head. "Not yet. I just followed the lead you gave last ti and traced it to him."
"It was only then that I discovered that this quiet player is a far more likely candidate than the two who are openly competing for the position."
"I’m almost certain it’s him."
Yan Feifan grunted again. "Over the past two days, all the doctors at attending physician level and above have been given a survey."
"Professor, will the hospital president position be announced soon?"
Liu Jin said, a little unsettled, "Soti in the next week or two. It won’t be delayed past June, at the latest."
