Nora Scott had just bought a ticket online for Henry Chapman when Katherine Collins rang her doorbell.
"Nora, are you back?"
Katherine Collins asked from outside the door.
Nora responded with an "Mm," and opened the door, but the mont she saw Katherine Collins, she also caught a whiff of barbeque.
"How about it," Katherine Collins held up two bags of barbeque with a smile, winking at her, "Want so?"
"Yes."
Nora nodded without hesitation, then smiled, "I thought you were here to discuss the script with ."
"I am here to discuss the script too." Katherine Collins nodded, a bit sheepishly, "And to snack a little."
In reality, she couldn’t stay in her room, so she went out wandering in search of food, bought a heap of barbeque, and then realized she couldn’t finish it all by herself, so she ca to find Nora.
It’s better to enjoy together than alone.
Katherine Collins ca in, and after putting down the two bags of barbeque, she suddenly turned her eyes and grabbed Nora’s hand.
"Nora, can you not tell Master Pedro about this?"
Katherine Collins’s eyes showed a slight hint of pleading.
Even though she had heard Pedro Langley’s comnt that this person is a "drama queen," Nora was still surprised for a second by her sudden "pitiful" look.
Soon after, Nora asked, "Why?"
"He doesn’t like junk food. If he knows I brought you this, it’ll cut off my investnt." Katherine Collins sincerely explained the reason.
"..."
In public, he puts on a show of not eating junk food... Who was it that was eating barbeque with her a few nights ago?
She asked, "Really?"
Pedro Langley has a tough mouth but a soft heart; he usually just talks and never abandons friends.
"Really." Katherine Collins nodded seriously, then scrunched up her small face, "He and my husband originally didn’t want to shoot the docuntary; neither of them would invest. If it weren’t for bringing you in and his compromise, we wouldn’t even be able to start now."
"They don’t support you?"
"Yeah."
Katherine Collins nodded and started to unwrap the barbeque bags.
Slling the unique aroma of barbeque, Nora picked up two chairs and walked over, casually asking, "Why?"
After a pause, Katherine Collins handed her a skewer of chicken gizzards, saying, "Not in great health, collapsed from exhaustion before."
Nora: "...Oh."
No wonder.
"By the way—"
Just as Katherine Collins sat down, she suddenly rembered sothing, wiped her hands with a napkin and took off the backpack on her shoulder.
Unzipping it, she took out a bag, "I heard there’s a shop in town with particularly delicious thousand-layer pastries, so I bought so. Haven’t tried them yet, do you want to have a taste?"
Biting into the chicken gizzard, Nora asked, "The one on Evening Street?"
"Ah, yeah." Katherine Collins was montarily taken aback, rather surprised, "You know it?"
"Mm, I’ve eaten there a few tis, and it tastes quite good."
Nora took another bite of the chicken gizzard.
There’s no denying, Katherine Collins really has a knack for seeking out good food, from the biangbiang noodles in the afternoon, to the barbeque at night, plus the thousand-layer pastries... they’re all considered hidden delicacies in town.
Not sothing you can easily find through tourist guides; you need local recomndations.
"Have you been to Greenhill Town before?" Katherine Collins noticed sothing.
"Had so interest in puppet theater, stayed here for half a month."
"Ah..."
Katherine Collins suddenly rembered that Nora was very familiar with the content she was going to film, almost like an encyclopedia, able to speak in depth about anything she asked.
So she had researched on site?
"What ti will tomorrow’s filming finish?"
"It’s supposed to rain tomorrow, so it’s all indoor filming; we should be done by about midday." Katherine Collins estimated.
Their crew isn’t rushing the schedule.
Even though funds are tight, staying a few more days doesn’t matter.
Katherine Collins is just shooting for fun; the crew mbers are generally friends, and sotis they go off to have fun together, working is working, but relaxing truly is relaxing.
"If we finish early, I know a few good snack places, I can take you to try them." Nora said leisurely.
"Okay!"
Katherine Collins’s eyes imdiately lit up.
As they chatted enthusiastically, before they knew it, the topic had shifted to food, from the delicacies of Greenhill Town to Anchel, the whole province, and the entire Northwest.
Katherine Collins is a very efficient person; by the ti she finished chatting with Nora, she had already made plans for her next stroll along the Northwest Line, connecting the ntal map in her mind into a line, eager to try.
Until all the barbeque on the table was finished.
Katherine Collins squatted on the chair, blinking, tilting her head, a bit incredulous, "What did I co to talk to you about?"
"Discuss the script, talk about acting," Nora kindly reminded.
"...Oh."
Katherine Collins covered her face in anguish.
