The actress’s words left Isabella Hart completely bewildered.

The show crew couldn’t convince the old museum owner, but Luna Durant managed to get his approval?

Surely, it was more than just Luna Durant using her fa and persuasion to pull this off?

It’s heard that Luna Durant’s background... is quite influential.

"So impressive, huh?"

Isabella Hart didn’t hold back and naturally expressed her amazent.

Everyone likes to hear words of praise, admiration, and flattery. With Luna Durant being so young, it’s only natural she wouldn’t be immune to this.

"It’s alright."

Luna Durant modestly said, but that hint of pride was still evident in her eyes.

For Luna Durant, this day hadn’t been quite smooth.

The variety show filming went poorly, she got splashed with oil, she heard that Katherine Collins’s docuntary had found actors and was shooting smoothly, her plans fell through, she couldn’t find out who the new actor was in the afternoon, and she was often at a disadvantage in the program’s designed segnts...

All in all, everything was off.

Now, the ntion of the museum’s treasure managed to give her a sense of superiority.

"Isn’t this why we say Luna is the lucky star of the whole crew?" the actress bead, "With her around, the show’s ratings are guaranteed. Things the crew can’t accomplish, she can solve with just one phone call."

Saying that, the actress deliberately teased, "Luna, I think the crew should pay you more."

The higher the praises were, the more modest Luna Durant beca, but there was no doubt that the previous gloomy atmosphere surrounding her vanished completely with these few words.

Seeing this, Isabella Hart also spared no effort in praising Luna Durant.

Before long, Luna Durant shed her initial coldness and gradually beca more talkative.

Just then—

A gust of wind blew past from behind, and soone walked by.

Luna Durant paused, instinctively glanced back, and saw a man with a hood walking to a spot in the corner. She looked a bit more closely and saw Nora Scott and Katherine Collins sitting at that table.

Instantly, half of her good mood evaporated.

Why are these two pesky rats everywhere?

Her attention also drew the focus of Isabella Hart and the actress at the sa table.

Of course, Isabella Hart had a bad impression of Nora Scott and Katherine Collins, and seeing them soured her mood. The actress had nothing to do with the duo, but knowing there was so tension between them and Luna Durant, she quickly looked away.

"Luna, how did you get the old museum owner to agree?"

Glancing over there, Isabella Hart deliberately raised her voice, fearing the adjacent table might not hear.

"Family connections." With the two at the next table, Luna Durant had a deliberate intent to show off and replied lightly, "It’s not a big deal, just a matter of giving a heads-up."

It’s naturally not as simple as a re "heads-up."

Knowing the show crew repeatedly hit a wall with the old museum owner, Luna Durant harbored thoughts of "showing off."

— What does it an that she succeeded where the crew failed?

For this "show," she visited the old museum owner several tis, having business and connections in Greenhill Town, and promised to help promote puppet shows and offer future conveniences for the Trump Puppet Museum.

After considerable effort, she finally persuaded the old museum owner.

Of course, such matters can’t be disclosed.

With her breezy response, naturally, there were no doubts, drawing unanimous exclamations from Isabella Hart and the actress.

*

At the adjacent table.

Setting down the food, Henry Chapman had listened to the trio’s conversation.

However, his attention was on— the museum’s treasure.

"What’s the museum’s treasure?"

Having done no prior research, Henry Chapman embraced a "don’t know, just ask" spirit.

Taking a bite of noodles, Nora Scott casually replied, "Just a chanical puppet at Trump Puppet Museum."

The nonchalance in her words implied that the "museum’s treasure," which had once appeared in national exhibitions and amazed people dostically and abroad, was rely a roadside novelty.

Since realizing Nora Scott and Katherine Collins were present, Luna Durant and Isabella Hart had been keeping tabs on their situation at the adjacent table.

Now, Nora Scott spoke in a steady tone, which clearly reached their ears.

Both felt a surge of anger.

— Damn, lying to soone who knows nothing?!

— Just a mouth that keeps yapping nonsense, can’t stop spouting whatever cos to mind.

"I want to see it."

The young man sitting with his back to them said directly.

"Then see it." Nora Scott casually remarked, "I’ll take you there tonight."

Her casual tone was truly grating.

Luna Durant couldn’t bear it any longer, leaned back against the chair, tilted her head back, and mocked Nora Scott, bluntly exposing, "Before bragging, you should do so research. The exhibition is only during the day, not at night."

Nora Scott raised her eyes, her gaze coolly swept over, chuckled softly, and asked, "So what?"

"..."

Luna Durant was rendered speechless by her self-righteous question.

"You just have a slick tongue," Isabella Hart couldn’t stand it anymore and sneered, "Boasting ti and again, has it beco a habit? There’s no exhibition tonight, you can’t see it, is that clear enough?"

Just thinking about Nora Scott’s "boasting," Isabella Hart couldn’t help but get angry.

She’s never seen soone so shaless.

How Nora Scott managed that Virtue Retreat thing, Isabella had no idea.

But for Nora Scott to look down on Isabella and boast about herself without any achievents—acting like she’s so amazing, the comic work her fans produced didn’t even hover above the passing line?

The results could only be considered good among the sa batch of newcors.

Thinking about this, Isabella felt a little breathless. Before Nora could retort, she added, "Don’t think just because you’re good-looking, everyone will buy your story, and everywhere will open doors for you."

"We’re talking about activating the puppet chanism, which needs the old museum owner’s permission. Not everyone gets a chance to see it."

Isabella smugly said, "What are you going to use to persuade the old museum owner? This face?"

Ha.

Even if she wanted to rely on this person, the old museum owner might be willing but unable.

Does she really think a little beauty ans the world will turn green lights for her?

Too overconfident.

"I’m just relying on this face to get by," Nora Scott smirked, not irritated or angry at all, completely unfazed. "How will we know if we don’t try?"

"You," Isabella was shocked and incredulously cursed, "shaless!"

Nora raised an eyebrow, "We’re equally bad, who’s calling who nas?"

Isabella was so angry she gritted her teeth.

Katherine Collins: "..." She originally wanted to speak for Nora, but now it seed unnecessary.

The actress: "..." She better finish her al and retreat quickly, Nora, Isabella, Luna—they all don’t seem easy to deal with.

Henry Chapman: "..."

Arguing with Nora usually doesn’t end in victory. He never argues with her. Instead of wasting words, it’s better to eat more.

"Forget it," Luna Durant withdrew her gaze and surprisingly began to persuade Isabella, "If soone insists on sticking their face out to get hit, just let them. You’re not her mother, why worry about her?"

"..."

Isabella frowned, but she gave Luna this favor and didn’t argue with her.

Luna took a glance at Nora, snickering in her heart.

See the exhibition?

And even want to see the puppet chanism?

Ha.

In your dreams.

Don’t ntion seeing the exhibition and chanism; they might not even have a location for tomorrow’s shoot.

All talk and no substance, actually just an empty shell with no skills.

Having been extorted three million by Nora’s words last ti, Luna learned her lesson. She’d rather use underhanded tactics than confront Nora head-on.

—To avoid being so infuriated by Nora’s eloquent tongue that she’d end up doing sothing foolish.

This ti, she wanted to see how Nora and her group would embarrass themselves!

*

After the argunt with Nora, Luna and the other two had no mood to eat further. Plus, they had to control their figures, so after just a few bites, they each left abruptly.

Nora Scott, Katherine Collins, and Henry Chapman had no such concerns. They ate heartily, with satisfying bites.

"I want to see the puppet chanism."

Halfway through the al, Henry Chapman made his request to Nora again.

Katherine Collins was taken aback, thinking Henry hadn’t heard clearly earlier, so she said, "Didn’t they say it requires the old museum owner’s consent?"

Henry said nothing, quietly looking at Nora.

—He knew Nora. Her calm deanor ant she had a plan.

Nora didn’t like to boast.

Though, most tis, the words from her mouth seed like "boasts" to many people.

"Yeah." Nora first responded to Katherine, then helplessly glanced at Henry, "Fine, let’s see."

A simple matter of words.

"Can we really see it?"

Katherine was a bit surprised, her eyes sparkling like they were filled with tiny stars.

She’d heard about this town’s treasure long ago, but she knew it was easy to see the exhibit, while getting a glimpse of the chanism... was almost impossible.

"Yep," Nora nodded slightly, leaning forward a bit, said ambitiously, "I know a way to sneak in, ensuring we bypass all staff and surveillance, unnoticed..."

"..."

Katherine was stunned, blinking.

Is that how you see it?
