Familiar sports car, familiar pattern, familiar style.

Just as Nora Scott paused, that flashy sports car ca to a stop. The car door opened, and out ca a dapper Jesse Johnson with multicolored spiky hair and a cool jacket, slicking his hair back with flair as he got out of the car.

Spritely and full of spirit.

He didn’t look like he had suffered a blow; rather he seed like sothing good had happened.

I wonder how Lily Turner managed to coax him...

While pondering this, Jesse Johnson had already spotted her.

His eyes widened as he pointed at her repeatedly, stuttering "you, you, you" as if his tongue was burnt, then wiping his mouth, he walked over briskly.

"What are you doing here?"

Holding her hand up without letting go, Jesse Johnson’s expression was full of shock, his eyes nearly popping out.

Never would he have thought, there would be a day when he ran into Nora Scott!

Amused by his ridiculous reaction, Nora Scott smiled and asked, "My ho, why wouldn’t I be here?"

Jesse Johnson looked up at the high-rise residence with disbelief on his face, looking at Nora Scott with suspicion and disdain.

"How could this possibly be your ho?"

Although Cloudwater Haven is a residential community, it’s still owned by the Langley Residence, with great location, environnt, and perfect security asures. To live here, if not extrely wealthy, you would at least need assets of several tens of millions.

Nora Scott, who was just a washed-up celebrity reduced to being an assistant, how could she afford to live in such a community?

Glancing at his hand pointing at her, Nora Scott frowned in displeasure and was about to speak when she heard her phone ringing.

She took out her phone, glanced at the caller ID, stepped aside, and answered the call.

"Hello, Grandpa Loxley."

Originally wanting to head upstairs, Jesse Johnson paused involuntarily upon hearing Nora Scott’s greeting.

He looked over cautiously and suspiciously, tilting his head slightly, trying hard to overhear her conversation.

Grandpa Loxley asked, "Miss Scott, aren’t you ho?"

Nora Scott paused, "I’m downstairs. Planning to go to the supermarket."

"I just tried making so snacks, wanted you to taste them."

ntioning snacks made Nora Scott tempted, "I’ll grab them when I get back."

"If you haven’t gone far, why don’t you wait for ? Jack Carter isn’t here and I need to go to the supermarket anyway, we can go together."

"Alright."

Nora Scott hung up the phone.

The mont she turned around, she saw Jesse Johnson, who’s been eavesdropping with pricked ears, raising an eyebrow.

She turned so quickly that Jesse Johnson hadn’t had ti to hide, caught red-handed, he was feeling guilty, his eyes darting around, and then suddenly his eyes widened and his deanor beca aggressive.

"Are you trying to climb up the Langley Residence tree via Butler Loxley, dreaming about turning into a phoenix on the branch?" Jesse Johnson preemptively accused, putting a hat on Nora Scott from the start.

What the heck?

Nora Scott frowned.

Before she could express her stance, Jesse Johnson took a deep breath, raised his voice, and in a long-drawn-out tone said, "I’m telling you, door! Window! This door, that window, it—does—not—exist!"

Nora Scott raised her hand to rub her ears that were jarred, finding it hard to understand his line of thinking.

However, her reaction of silence rather than denial made Jesse Johnson even more certain of his suspicions.

"The place you’re staying here is rented too, huh, specifically targeting my third brother? Don’t even think about it, I’d advise you to stop dreaming!"

Jesse Johnson finished in a bad mood, pondering, then unwillingly added, "I’ve seen plenty of won like you wanting to take shortcuts! My third brother! Upstanding, virtuous, the very image of a gentleman! Absolutely won’t take advantage of any female star! You! Impossible to have a chance!"

Nora Scott put away her phone, looking up toward the building entrance.

Seeing her ignoring him, Jesse Johnson got angry inside.

He was about to speak again when suddenly Nora Scott turned her head slightly and blandly asked, "I’m not after you, why are you so agitated?"

"..."

Startled by her retort, Jesse Johnson was montarily dumbfounded.

After a few seconds, he found his words and self-righteously retorted, "He’s my third brother, can’t I kill off any woman who has ill intentions towards him in the cradle?"

Looking at his indignant expression, Nora Scott slowly said, "Cousin."

"..."

"And a distant one at that."

Dropped a bombshell.

"What about cousin? What about distant? No matter how distant, he’s still my brother!" Jesse Johnson retorted angrily, but quickly waved his hand, saying, "Don’t change the topic on !"

"..."

Nora Scott found him giving her a headache.

Taking a breath to compose himself, Jesse Johnson continued, "Both stars, why is there such a big difference? Why can others work hard, be earnest, responsible and dedicated, while you think of using such sordid ans?"

Pointing directly at her, Nora Scott didn’t get angry, instead she felt amused, "The ’other’ you’re talking about, could it be Lily Turner?"

Sneering, Jesse Johnson confidently retorted, "You still want to compare yourself to her?"

Nora Scott: "... This kid sure is naive."

Her silence made Jesse Johnson feel like he succeeded — succeeded in making her feel ashad.

ntioning Lily Turner made Jesse Johnson sowhat proud, his eyes and eyebrows filled with joy. He intended to criticize Nora Scott a bit more while the iron was hot, but just then, his phone rang.

As he fished out his phone, he said to Nora Scott, "Wait, I’ll talk to you later!"

Sliding his finger over the screen, Jesse Johnson stepped aside to answer the call.

"Hello... What’s going on? ... If three thousand isn’t enough, make it five thousand, if five thousand doesn’t work, go to ten thousand! I don’t believe there’s anyone who doesn’t want money dropping from the sky... Doesn’t matter what the internet says, isn’t that silly celebrity asking fans to share it? ... Weren’t there thirty people? You can’t ask everyone one by one, there’s no way everyone doesn’t like money! ... That’s it, I have sothing urgent, hanging up."

Not far away, Nora Scott who was standing quietly waiting for Butler Loxley overheard every word because Jesse Johnson didn’t bother concealing them.

She rembered the screenshots Eleanor Taylor sent a few days ago.

When Jesse Johnson turned back, Nora Scott raised her eyebrow suddenly and asked, "The one online who’s flamboyant with money, is that you?"

"What..."

Montarily not catching on, Jesse Johnson instinctively opened his mouth to ask when it suddenly dawned on him, he suspiciously asked, "You’re a fan of God Z too?"

"No."

Nora Scott replied succinctly and quickly.

Jesse Johnson snorted, "So what if you are, what’s there to be embarrassed about?"

Evidently, this fan had a mysterious confidence in Zero, whom he admired.

Nora Scott shrugged, casually saying, "I like White."

"..."

Jesse Johnson’s expression froze, unreactive for a good four or five seconds.

Then, he suddenly rushed over in two steps, standing firmly before Nora Scott, and with an incredulous tone asked, "Say that again, who the heck do you like?"

"White."

"..."

Damn!

Turns out it was the archenemy!

Anyone who’s been in the Chinese comic circle knows, back in the day on the once-famous "Mihua Comics" app, Zero and White were the ’store treasures’, both having a small fa on Weibo, when they joined "Mihua Comics", they launched works like "Death Legend" and "Survival Ga", crashing onto the scene, overshadowing all contemporary comics, and their works being full of popular s went viral beyond the circle, becoming well known and making headlines for a ti.

However, because their thes were similar, updates nearly synchronized, and competition in various trics were fierce, plus each of their readerships had a sense of superiority and mutual disdain, it’s unknown when, but their fans beca mortal enemies.

During serialization, it was an irreconcilable situation.

Now, as both have left Mihua Comics, the fan circle has sowhat improved, but for those who followed from that period, they still can’t see eye to eye.

Jesse Johnson’s focus was completely shifted.

He angrily glared at Nora Scott, "Are you nuts, what’s so great about that bloody, violent, and grotesque comic series?"
