In the private room, two people called out Sophie’s na.
One was the completely unaware Lily Turner, and the other was Ethan Scott, who had received a ssage notification from Egbert Vaughn.
"Lily?" Sophie was also surprised by Lily Turner’s presence and called out in astonishnt, then glanced over to see Ethan Scott sitting on the sofa with his arm around Lily, exclaiming in disbelief, "Second Brother."
"Mr. Scott, is that your sister?"
"Is this the sister you often ntion, Sophie?"
"Obedient and beautiful, with both inner and outer beauty, no wonder you’ve kept her hidden and wouldn’t bring her out."

The group imdiately began chattering, and soone even took the initiative to greet Sophie and invited her to sit down.
Faced with a bunch of people she didn’t know, Sophie was sowhat uneasy, not to ntion having to sit among them.

Walking over, Sophie sat down.
"It’s rare to see you willing to co to a place like this," Ethan Scott blocked a bottle of fruit wine being handed to Sophie and had the waiter bring orange juice, gentlemanly and thoughtful, "Will your mom say anything if she knows?"
"..." Sophie pursed her lips. She didn’t want to talk about family matters in front of so many people, so she said, "Just ca out for fun, Second Brother, you have to keep it a secret for ."
"Secret, secret, definitely a secret."
Ethan Scott nodded with a smile.
Lily Turner glanced coquettishly at Ethan Scott, reminding him, "Introduce Sophie to everyone."
"My sister, Sophie." Ethan Scott pointed to Sophie, then glanced around at everyone present, withdrawing his gaze disinterestedly, and said to Sophie, "These people... they don’t deserve you, just manage to deal with them."

A group of rich playboys, all cut from the sa cloth, looking down on a fading star like her inside and out; yet giving plenty of face to a wealthy lady like Sophie, calling her warmly and amiably "Sophie," acting all easy-going.

When he used her as a pawn, there was no talk of who was worthy.
The favoritism was all too obvious.
Though it was Sophie’s first ti encountering such a scene, Ethan Scott’s friends were obviously restrained, speaking and acting appropriately, coupled with Ethan Scott and Egbert Vaughn’s intentional or unintentional control of the situation, Sophie gradually relaxed, no longer as nervous and uneasy as before.
During this, Egbert Vaughn received another call, greeted Ethan Scott, then got up and left the room.
He had originally been sitting close to Sophie, and as soon as he left, soone took his seat, enthusiastically initiating a conversation with Sophie.
This atmosphere was sothing Sophie could barely handle.

Once the door closed, the noise and stuffiness were isolated, and the breeze in the corridor carried a slight chill, which made her feel much more comfortable.
After walking a few steps, Sophie glanced toward the bathroom and saw a couple sweetly heading over, feeling a bit uncomfortable, she decided not to go and leaned against the wall, her fingers subconsciously scratching lightly on the wall. As she lowered her head in thought, a sudden flash of mory of Egbert Vaughn holding her in the hallway appeared in her mind.
Her heart started racing faster.

"Why did you co out?"
Suddenly, a voice echoed, pulling Sophie back to reality.
She lifted her eyes in surprise to find Egbert Vaughn, having finished his call unnoticed, now standing beside her, with one hand in his pocket, smiling lightly. In the dimly lit corridor, he looked quite charming.
Recalling her earlier thoughts, Sophie’s ears turned a bit hot, instinctively reaching up to tuck her hair, but halfway, she stopped, afraid of exposing her ears.
Forcing a smile at Egbert Vaughn, Sophie lowered her gaze and softly said, "It’s a bit noisy."
"It is a bit."
Egbert Vaughn chuckled softly, leaning against the wall like her, his long legs stretching and bending. He took out a pack of cigarettes, took one, and as he was about to find his lighter, he glanced at her and removed the cigarette.
Slightly turning his head, Egbert Vaughn looked at the quiet yet anxious Sophie and suddenly asked, "Is the young lady in a bad mood?"

Sophie’s shoulder slightly trembled as if startled, quickly glancing at Egbert Vaughn before hastily withdrawing her gaze and lowering her head.
However, the mont she lifted her eyes, the tearful look in her eyes made Egbert Vaughn montarily stunned.
Playing with the unlit cigarette between his fingers, a breeze passed through the corridor, bringing the bustling sounds from various rooms.
In contrast, this place seed quite peaceful.
"Want to go see the stars?" Egbert Vaughn suddenly asked.
"Huh?"
The sudden question made Sophie look up in shock, her eyes covered with a layer of moisture, and her rims slightly reddened.
"There’s a teor shower at ten tonight; a friend invited to watch it. They’ve been calling several tis." Egbert Vaughn smiled, not with a frivolous intent, but rather explained with a bit of gravity, "But it’s a bit far, on a mountain in the suburbs; if we go now, we should still make it."
