"Since we ended the ’cold war,’ haven’t we officially dated?"

Pedro Langley leaned closer to Nora Scott, wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and handed her the milk.

"Really?"

Nora pondered for a mont.

Thinking about it carefully, from the ti their relationship was confird until now, she had had one thing after another. After returning to Fenton City, Pedro worked during the weekdays, and they hadn’t gone out. During the rare weekends, they would often be taken up by various commitnts.

They lived next door to each other, seeing each other all the ti, so she hadn’t noticed much. Now that it was ntioned, they really hadn’t planned a "formal date" yet.

Pedro squinted slightly and continued, "I’m free for the next few days. Isn’t it ti to use your diving certificate and helicopter license?"

"The things I’ve learned, they aren’t interesting anymore." Nora lacked interest, but noticing Pedro’s slight displeasure, she changed her tone, "I’m more interested in skydiving."

"Don’t just think of sothing and do it spur-of-the-mont."

Pedro pinched her hand.

After drinking down the warm milk, Nora turned and looked at him, "Tell , what’s your plan?"

Knowing Pedro’s nature, he wouldn’t tell her anything unless he had ticulously planned everything.

She didn’t like planning things and preferred spontaneity, so the travel plans and itineraries were mostly handled by Pedro.

In this regard, they complented each other perfectly.

"I have tickets for tomorrow; the location is a surprise. We’ll start with freediving, rest for a night, and then do so helicopter activities. The itinerary is about five days."

To maintain mystery, Pedro summarized in a few words.

Nora suddenly realized sothing, suspiciously sizing him up, "A trip abroad, just the two of us. Pedro, are you up to no good?"

Pedro just smiled without saying a word.

"Stop those naughty thoughts."

Nora threw him a warning glance.

Pedro picked up a strand of her hair and looked at her with a bit of pitifulness, "Are you sure you want hanging around all day—"

Nora glared at him, "Who cares?"

Pedro shrugged helplessly, "I’m in good shape, you’re not losing out."

"Say that again?"

Clutching the empty milk cup tightly, Nora’s eyebrows pressed down with frustration, as if she could crush the cup at any mont.

Is this about losing out?

This is clearly—

Her fiery temper!

"We’ll discuss this later." Seeing her on the verge of an outburst, Pedro didn’t continue, "Do you want to play or not?"

"No tourist spots."

"Okay."

"It has to be exciting and interesting."

"Okay."

"There has to be professional photography."

"Sure."

...

Nora made many demands, and Pedro agreed to all of them with his eyes closed.

Nora yanked his arm, "If anything doesn’t et the standards, just you wait!"

Pedro suddenly smiled, "You an like lying around in anticipation?"

"..."

*

After spending so ti with Pedro and returning, Henry Chapman had already left, along with his beloved pet, Rose.

Andrew Hughes and Marcus Shaw were doing howork in the study, each in their own spot, heads down and writing diligently, a scene that would make any parent proud.

However, to Nora...

She sighed deeply.

So young, they don’t know how to enjoy life; in the future, they’ll just lead a life of toil.

But it was a personal choice, and Nora didn’t want to interfere. After telling them to go to bed early, she strolled away.

As soon as she left the two hard-working kids, another workaholic, Fátima, called her.

Fátima had been on a peacekeeping mission lately, and the two barely had any contact. Now, seeing the words "Master Sister" flash on her phone screen, Nora was montarily taken aback.

?

The Master Sister doesn’t have ti to just chat; whenever she contacts, there must be bad news.

"Master Sister?"

Nora answered, walking to the water dispenser.

"Oh, you’re still alive?"

The low voice, seething with anger, each word drenched in malice, suddenly shot into her ear, causing a shiver down her ear canal straight to the crown of her head.

"..."

The action of getting water paused, and Nora was hit with a sense of foreboding.

Great.

In trouble.

Soon, the call on the other end turned icy with sarcasm, "You’ve grown capable, being on the KL wanted list four years ago. Wanted in ten countries, yeah, you’ve really made a na for yourself."

"..."

?

What the heck?

Nora Scott paused for a mont, took a sip of water to calm herself.

"Speak."

After a while, two simple yet forceful words ca crashing down, each wrapped with a strong intensity, reflecting the soldier’s tough and straightforward style.

Nora feared her little senior sister being angry the most.

Because she never got angry for no reason, there was always a solid rationale.

For soone like Nora, who’s temperantal, does things on a whim, and doesn’t make sense, encountering soone with tough thods who particularly insists on reason, she was forever at a loss.

Putting down the cup, Nora lifted her hand and pressed her brow, then walked toward the balcony, asking suspiciously, "What is KL?"

"..."

Within the silent atmosphere, a rising killing intent spread.

"Fátima, calm down. The person isn’t your soldier—"

"You can’t hit them, what’s the point of being angry?"

"Ultimately, soone did a good deed!"

...

The phone was filled with chaotic sounds, evidently all from Fátima’s team, uniformly speaking on Nora’s behalf.

The serious and tense killing atmosphere was instantly sowhat dispersed by their chaotic voices.

Nora felt an urge to laugh heartlessly, but upon thinking, decided to give her little senior sister so face, raising a finger, touched her lip corner, and forcibly pulled it down a bit.

Not long after, the phone went silent, likely because Fátima avoided the crowd.

"Around four or five years ago, did you go to Surk?" The voice was quite calm, slightly cool, seemingly having cald down.

"Mm."

They ntioned it last ti at Peter Hughes’s house, just the second day after arriving in that small country a revolutionary uprising occurred, she left shortly thereafter.

Fátima’s voice lowered, "The day before the revolution, did you happen to trick a man with a priest-like appearance into jail at a bar?"

"..."

Vaguely recalled, there was indeed such an incident.

That man had a full set of rhetoric, trying to use religion to brainwash her, she found it annoying, before he could demonstrate "the power of faith," she showed him "the power of law."

"He was a spiritual leader for an organization called KL," Fátima said. "Thanks to you, they lost their head, without a spiritual leader for brainwashing, they were wiped out twice as quickly."

Fátima chose what she could say, succinctly explained a few words to her.

The person Nora tricked into jail was originally a wanted criminal, responsible for multiple murders, with multiple charges, after being caught, was directly sentenced to life imprisonnt.

The KL was developing at a critical stage, with the spiritual leader missing, their loss was not insignificant. They organized a rescue plan, failed, and later could only vent their anger on the culprit. They didn’t know Nora’s origins, so based on surveillance footage, they investigated her photo, issuing a wanted notice in a dozen surrounding countries.

—Luckily at that ti, revolutionary chaos occurred, Nora left early, and didn’t return to Surk since, otherwise even ten more lives wouldn’t suffice for her troublemaking.

Nora listened to the series of events prompted by an unintended action like hearing a story.

Quite interesting, huh.

Living in a stable and peaceful country, Nora felt fearless about such small-country wanted notices.

If they truly had the skill, they’d have already co to East Kingdom to assassinate her, yet they sneakily issue wanted orders, relying on others for help?

However—

Nora asked, "How did you find out?"

"Half a month ago, just wiped out their headquarters."

Fátima said lightly, casually as if organizing a battlefield exercise.

"..."

In terms of ruthlessness, the little senior sister is more ruthless.

"Are you allowed to tell these things?"

"Not a secret. The wanted notice has been withdrawn for you, though previously a search would show." Fátima said, suddenly smiled lightly, "And, there’s sothing quite interesting."

"What?"

"Do you know a war correspondent nad Crystal Hughes?"

"Kind of know." Nora responded, then asked, "Why?"

"She’s been in Surk for years collecting material, docunting this country’s recent history into a book, and happened to write your story." Fátima explained, "After we rescued her, we accidentally saw her manuscript, and thus stumbled upon you."

Speaking of which, it’s rather amusing.

When they returned to the country, a comrade idly read Crystal Hughes’s manuscript, found this story segnt interesting, and spread it around.

An unintended action inadvertently caused a series of unfortunate developnts for KL, ultimately accelerating KL’s demise, much like a Butterfly Effect. It was too legendary.

Add to that the woman described in the book having typical Eastern features.

Her team was full of those who couldn’t sit still, and after chatting enthusiastically, soone went snooping around.

The outco—

A beautiful lady.

And an acquaintance.

If it were anyone else, Fátima would have to praise a few words, marveling at this woman hero doing good without leaving a na, but alas the person is her little junior sister...

What if sothing went wrong?!

Such a troublemaker.
