Pedro Langley turned on the hairdryer, the warm air passing through Nora Scott’s hair, skimming her scalp. His movents were gentle and tender, his fingers sensing the temperature to maintain just the right level of warmth.
Nora Scott lowered her head to eat noodles, her head bobbing slightly. Pedro didn’t mind at all, and the smile at the corner of his lips deepened gradually.
Finally, after confirming that the hair was dry, Pedro turned off the hairdryer.
He massaged her scalp with his fingers to relax her, while bringing up the previous topic, "I’ve read the script. So scenes are quite dangerous."
"I’m good at action scenes."
"I’m not talking about the action scenes," Pedro said. "The scenes with you and Henry Chapman... I’ll visit the set when you shoot those."
Finishing the last piece of pickled cucumber, Nora furrowed her brows slightly and turned back in confusion, "There’s no intimate scenes."
Not even a kissing scene.
Pedro’s eyes darkened, "You flirting with him doesn’t count as an intimate scene?"
In perplexity, Nora said, "I was supposed to be trying to kill him, right?"
"Only when love turns pathological do you chop him up. I’m afraid you’ll get too into character."

If she could really get into character, her acting wouldn’t be so criticized.
"Also," Pedro frowned lightly, "I heard that Henry is a thod actor; he stays in character the whole ti during shooting and often can’t detach after filming."
"He certainly is."
On this point, Nora had no objections.
Pedro gently reminded, "In the script, he harbors a suppressed love for you."
"..." Nora was taken aback for a mont, then she asked him with interest, "Pedro, I’m filming a suspense drama now. What if I were filming a romantic drama?"
Pedro’s face changed.
Squinting slightly, Nora added, "The kind with many kissing scenes."
Lowering his gaze, Pedro continued to massage her gently, speaking unhurriedly, "...Sure, go ahead. Just be ready to be banned."

Nora reached back to pinch his thigh.
Pedro endured the pain, continuing with, "As a heartfelt suggestion, with your acting skills, don’t ruin the film market. Take roles that suit you, don’t try to carry major parts, and we can still maintain our reputation."
"..." Squinting her eyes, Nora spoke with a sinister tone, "Suddenly I rember, I had two offers recently, modern dramas with kissing scenes, but right before signing, the production teams changed their minds."
"I ruined those for you."
Pedro admitted bluntly.
"..."
"Also, those roles didn’t suit you. If you took them, you’d only get criticized more harshly."
"..."
So angry her chest hurt, Nora was upset, "Go cook your ran."
"Just talking business," with his fingers pressing on her temples to massage them, Pedro leaned down, whispering next to her ear, "No hard feelings."
Nora squinted at him, "Do I seem like a magnanimous person?"
"Not seem," Pedro said earnestly, "but indeed are."
"Get lost already."
Nora was speechless, thoroughly exasperated, not wanting to see him at all.
Pedro ignored her, clinging shalessly, serving her comfortably, and rubbing her head again, "Only two bites left, finish them and go rest."
Glancing outside, Nora said crossly, "If it weren’t raining, it’d be daylight by now."
"Mm," Pedro said, "I’m not working today, staying ho with you."
"..."
Nora gave him an eerie look.
Monts later, she sent him to the kitchen and finished the last two bites of her noodles, then went back to the bedroom to wash up and snuggled into bed.
Too exhausted, she yawned and soon drifted off to sleep.
In a daze, she heard the sound of curtains being drawn, and before long, a man’s voice sounded in her ear. She couldn’t rember what was said, vaguely responding, then the man put in earplugs for her. Imdiately, the thunder and rain noise vanished, seemingly isolated in another world.
Nora fell completely asleep.

The rain continued to fall.
The streets were sparse with pedestrians, the road had deep puddles, with hardly any vehicles in sight.
In front of a barbecue restaurant.
Under a transparent umbrella stood a girl in a green dress, her slender fingers gripping the handle, rain pattering on the umbrella surface. The water ran down the ribs in streams, splashing on the ground, occasionally splattering on her fair, balanced calves.
The girl had bright eyes and white teeth, an aura of intelligence and elegance, though her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, her expression quite conflicted.
Having been sick at ho for two days, just as she recovered a bit, there was nothing to eat at ho, so she had to go out, planning to stock up on groceries at the supermarket.
But upon seeing the barbecue restaurant and slling the aroma... she couldn’t quite move her feet.
Already tight on living expenses, having a barbecue al would an subsisting on instant noodles until the next paycheck.
"This is it. Online says it’s the top-ranked barbecue restaurant, let’s try it—"
With a familiar voice, two people ca carrying an umbrella.
