"Uncle Master! Uncle Master! There’s finally progress on the bastard who threw you into the river!"
Benjamin couldn’t wait to say on the phone.
Not knowing how excited this guy was, when he started babbling, his voice was so loud that Nora Scott’s phone sounded like it was on speaker.
Three pairs of eyes looked over at once.
Nora tilted her head slightly and leisurely glanced at the three of them. The three pairs of eyes imdiately looked away, not knowing where to rest for the mont.
Nora was utterly annoyed, her voice turning cold abruptly, "What progress."
Benjamin said, "We saw him in the surveillance footage of Virtue Retreat."
This event happened coincidentally.
Today, Benjamin, on a whim, went to Virtue Retreat to try out so dishes and unexpectedly encountered a once-in-a-century "theft" incident.
The gist of it was that a few days ago a group of university students held a high school reunion, among them were both daughters of wealthy families and poorer girls. One of the girls was smart and pretty but ca from a poor family, which made her unliked by the wealthy daughters.
After the reunion, the wealthy daughters accused the girl of stealing a necklace, trying every ans to humiliate her. Their intention was to embarrass her, but unexpectedly she was headstrong and directly went to the front desk demanding the surveillance footage to prove her innocence.
Generally speaking, the surveillance of Virtue Retreat is not readily accessible, but when Benjamin was wandering around doing nothing, he stumbled upon her arguing with the receptionist, and then he suggested, "If you must, get the surveillance."
Out of nowhere, a young man who said this lightly actually managed to get the surveillance footage accessed.
Benjamin handed the matter over to Manager Woods to handle and turned to go back to the kitchen. In less than half an hour, Manager Woods suddenly ca looking for him, saying that the surveillance of that day revealed the wealthy girl left wearing the necklace, proving the theft did not occur at Virtue Retreat. At the sa ti, they discovered another piece of footage, in which a person resembling the figure Benjamin had been seeking appeared.
And so, Benjamin couldn’t wait to call Nora Scott when he saw the footage.
"I reckon it’s almost certain." Benjamin’s tone was rather resentful, "Damn, that bastard even ca to my house to eat, and I let him just walk away."
"Send the surveillance." With a turn of events, Nora wasn’t in the mood to chit-chat with Benjamin, "You go verify his identity and the people with him."
"Alright."
Benjamin agreed and sent several video clips and screenshots to Nora Scott’s phone in less than three minutes.
Just as she opened a picture, Nora furrowed her brow, dragged Rosie and the other two into a group, and sent all the videos and pictures into it.
The screenshot was the only scene from the video where Alexander Vaughn’s face appeared.
This person acted very cautiously, familiar with every cara in Virtue Retreat, and always consciously avoided them whenever passing by.
And the only ti he showed his face was when his female companion accidentally slipped, and he reached out to help her, inadvertently exposing himself under surveillance. He seed to notice and specifically checked the surveillance afterward.
What caught Nora’s attention was—
His female companion was actually Sophie Scott.
"It’s Alexander Vaughn!"
Amy Mansfield glanced at it and confidently gave an answer.
Afterward, she compared the portrait Nora Scott had given with the one brought by Camilo Nogueira, determining they were the sa person. Comparing with Camilo Nogueira’s portrait, even the hairstyle was identical.
Rosie Sullivan clicked her tongue, "He’s still in Fenton City."
Barton Mansfield said, "I’ll have soone check on his female companion."
"No need." Nora said blandly, "Sophie Scott. My half-sister."
All three looked up in surprise at Nora.
The rules of Biel Hall clearly state that mbers cannot privately investigate information about the Hall Master, and even internal mbers have certain restrictions. So, even though they knew about Nora Scott’s disruption at the Scott family birthday banquet and her complicated family relations, they never specifically inquired about Nora’s family connections, adhering to the rule of "the Hall Master doesn’t say, we don’t investigate."
Only because Rosie Sullivan was threatened with photos related to Oliver Scott and investigated Sophie, did she have soone track Sophie for a few days and know a little about Nora’s family affairs.
Rosie scanned the enlarged screenshot, carefully identifying Alexander Vaughn’s female companion, confirming without a mistake it was Sophie Scott, feeling embarrassed, "This relationship is a bit ssy."
This needs to be thought through carefully.
The many evil deeds Alexander Vaughn committed in secret, even he didn’t know, were all eventually linked to Nora Scott in countless ways, yet he ended up getting involved with Nora’s half-sister...
Whether Alexander Vaughn was aware of these matters was unknown.
