Nora Scott’s strong ambition didn’t allow herself to argue about "dog n" with Pedro Langley right now.
After glaring at Pedro, Nora opened the car door and jumped out.
Pedro glanced at the mud brick house and followed her down.
At that mont, as the two reached the courtyard gate, they encountered Eli Linfield and Benjamin Durant coming out of the mud brick house.
"Another wild man?" Pedro frowned, imdiately complaining to Nora.
Nora: "..."
"Uncle!"
"Nora!"
The two greeted loudly and approached quickly.
Eli didn’t know Pedro, unsure of how to address him. Benjamin always found Pedro displeasing and deliberately ignored his presence.
Pedro didn’t mind at all.
—After all, hanging out with Nora was enough to annoy Benjamin.
Nora asked, "Where is he?"
Eli frowned, "Gone."
Benjamin explained, "We just arrived. As soon as we entered, we saw chaos inside, signs of a fight. Clarence wasn’t there. We suspect sothing happened to him, and called you, but nobody answered."
"Left my phone behind."
Nora checked her pocket, didn’t feel her phone, and frowned more.
She asked, "Just you two? Where are Marcus Shaw and Oliver Scott?"
"No idea, we wanted to call them to co with us, but couldn’t find them," Benjamin said, "but people in the village said they were asking about Clarence’s place and saw them carrying booze towards here."
Because of this, Benjamin and Eli feared the two brothers might be in trouble, so they ca to check.
Unexpectedly, they didn’t see anyone.
Clarence wasn’t there.
Marcus Shaw and Oliver Scott weren’t there either.
Nora felt a vague sense of foreboding.
"You two ca on foot?" Pedro scanned the surroundings and asked.
Benjamin snorted, unwilling to acknowledge him, but Eli responded affirmatively with an "Mm."
Pedro glanced at Nora.
Nora understood, furrowed her brow, and instructed the two, "Get in the car. They shouldn’t have gone far."
Benjamin Eli: ???
The two confusedly got into the modified off-road vehicle with Nora and Pedro.
However, before they could ask anything, seeing the tire tracks all over the place, they sowhat understood.
—Clarence’s mud brick house had visible off-road vehicle tracks outside, two vehicles, tracks back and forth, leaving very clear marks on the yellow earth. As Nora analyzed, those two off-road vehicles shouldn’t have gone far.
Eli was just pulling out his phone when he heard Benjamin ask, "Why would anyone target Clarence? What about your people, all off eating shit?"
Eli frowned, "I’m just looking for soone, didn’t bring anyone along!"
Benjamin snorted.
"And haven’t seen you being of any use," Eli retorted irritably.
"I’m here for fun, you’re here for business, is it the sa?" Benjamin countered confidently.
These two seemingly close brothers showed their fragile friendship when sothing happened; they couldn’t withstand any turmoil.
Pedro leisurely fastened his seatbelt, happily watching the increasing tension from the backseat.
—Wild n ought to turn on each other.
However, Nora was a bit impatient, coldly dropping a line, "Or should we wait for you to finish arguing?"
"..."
The two imdiately shut their mouths tight, staying silent.
Benjamin quickly found his seatbelt to buckle up. Eli noticed, snorted, just about to mock Benjamin for being girly, but the next mont—he was slapped in the face by Nora’s driving skills.
Nora really drove like she didn’t care for life.
With a sharp turn, Eli was tossed around, his head knocking against the window, shocked enough to start doubting life.

"Is your uncle’s driving always this intense?" Eli asked Benjamin nearby, hurriedly grabbing his seatbelt for safety.
Benjamin glanced at him with an "you haven’t seen it all" look, "Hold on, it’s just the beginning."
Eli: "..."
Much later, recalling this car ride, Eli still felt it’s thrilling.
It was simply more exhilarating than any adventure.
Could only be described as "wearing your head on your belt."
Eli, originally wanting to call his subordinates, nervously waited for five minutes, and seeing the road widening and Nora’s driving skills indeed reliable, he shakily dialed his subordinates’ number.
He asked a couple of questions, and his subordinates answered truthfully, "Off-road vehicles? Just half an hour ago, we saw two. They left the village a while ago."
Eli asked, "Which direction did they head?"
"Northeast."
The subordinate quickly provided the answer.
Eli inquired about the license plates, then swiftly hung up.
"They headed northeast—" Eli just wanted to report the news but realized he was already on the northeast road. Startled, he asked Nora, "Wait, Nora, how did you know?"
