Cool.
Pedro Langley heard the voice, withdrew his gaze that was fixed on Nora Scott, glanced at Oliver Scott, and then smiled slightly.
A very subtle smile, yet it showed complete agreent with Oliver Scott’s assessnt.
Throwing the person aside, Nora Scott clapped her hands and then walked over slowly. The fierce and domineering charm was gone, replaced by a beauty so captivating that it was hard to look away.
Nora Scott looked at Pedro Langley and asked, "Did you call the police?"
"Yeah."
Pedro Langley nodded slightly.
Every ti he saw Nora Scott in action, Pedro Langley would subconsciously call the police. It had beco a habit, and this ti was no exception.
The series of impacts left Oliver Scott montarily stiff. He stood aside, still holding his backpack, his head slightly lowered, unable to decide what to say for a long ti.
Finally, he looked up at Nora Scott and said, "Thanks."
Nora Scott tilted her head and saw the bruises on his face, new injuries added to the old ones. Fortunately, his good looks barely saved the day.
She casually asked, "How’s the injury?"
Reminded by her words, Oliver Scott snapped back to reality, instinctively moved his left shoulder, and imdiately grimaced in pain, taking sharp breaths.
Seeing this, Nora Scott said, "Go back and get it treated early."
Oliver Scott responded with a sound, reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, only to see a shattered screen that didn’t respond no matter how the button was pressed.
With his body full of injuries, returning ho was out of the question, or things would be endless. Without an ID, he couldn’t temporarily find a hotel. He initially planned to stay at Steve Singleton’s for a night, but with the phone wrecked, this route was also dood.
Oliver Scott: "..."
Pedro Langley and Nora Scott happened to witness this scene, and the two exchanged a knowing glance.
At this mont, the street reverberated with the sound of police sirens, growing louder as they approached.
With the road clear, the three had just reached the alley’s entrance when two police cars ca into view, braking to a stop by the roadside. As the doors opened, police officers got out.
The first to erge was a burly officer in his thirties, with a round face, holding a police baton.
Initially, he wore a stern expression, but upon seeing the casually standing Nora Scott, his deanor imdiately crumbled.
"Why is it you again!"
A helpless and speechless look, his eyes wide open like saucers.
Seeing the "old acquaintance," Nora Scott was also a bit surprised, touched her nose, smiled, and asked, "Need to make a statent?"
Pedro Langley and Oliver Scott looked at Nora Scott speechlessly.
Could they run into soone she knew here?
The police officer, with dark eyes wide open, swept his gaze around the scene, almost guessing the whole story, and waved his hand, "No need, no need. I trust you when you handle things. They shouldn’t be hurt. The kid just needs to explain what happened."
The other officers efficiently loaded the drunken tough guys into the car, while Oliver Scott recounted the events to this officer on the spot.
The matter was quite simple. After school, Oliver Scott had gone to a bookstore, and on his way out, he encountered them harassing a female student. With it being late and no one nearby, Oliver Scott couldn’t ignore it and sought to draw their attention and help the girl escape.
Because the girl successfully escaped, they ended up targeting Oliver Scott.
After hearing, the officer nodded, verbally praised Oliver Scott, and also reminded him not to do such things in the future.
"Did you get hurt? Luckily, your sister arrived in ti; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable," the officer shook his head, sighed, and admonished, "Without your sister’s skills, don’t try to be a hero everywhere."
Oliver Scott was perplexed by the "your sister" comnt, and it took a mont for him to respond. He lightly pressed his lips together and calmly explained, "She’s not my sister."
"..."
The officer’s lecture abruptly stopped.
He was montarily stunned, looking at Oliver Scott’s youthful yet handso face, then at Nora Scott’s striking features, utterly puzzled: They both have the sa last na ’Scott,’ and look a bit alike, how are they not siblings?
He looked at Nora Scott again, who had no reaction to this clarification.
"...Oh." After a pause, the officer nodded awkwardly and then instructed Nora Scott and Pedro Langley, "You two take the kid to get his injuries treated. If there are any questions, I’ll contact you by phone."
"Alright."
Nora Scott agreed.
The police ca in a hurry and left just as quickly. Soon, only the three of them were left at the spot.
Watching the departing police cars, Pedro Langley paused, turned to Nora Scott, and asked, "How do you know them?"
Nora Scott raised her eyebrows, half-smiling, "Do more good deeds, and you’ll get to know them."
In recent years, Nora Scott had spent quite a bit of ti in Fenton City, encountering several incidents in this district, often taking people to the station. Over ti, she beca familiar with the officers.
Pedro Langley returned her gaze with one of helplessness.
His lips twitched, calming instantly. Nora Scott suddenly turned, studying the quietly standing Oliver Scott.
She spoke up, "You."
"Huh?"
Contemplating where to spend the night, Oliver Scott, upon hearing her, looked up, his eyes showing puzzlent.
Without wasting words, Nora Scott directly asked, "My place is nearby. Do you want to co by and get your injuries treated?"
Her words not only surprised Oliver Scott but also Pedro Langley.
Oliver Scott was surprised because he had just fought with Marcus Shaw a few days ago, yet she was inviting him to her ho today?
Pedro Langley was surprised because Oliver Scott didn’t seem to know Nora Scott’s identity, but Nora Scott must know Oliver Scott’s. Why was she being so friendly to him?
Under Nora Scott’s quiet gaze, Oliver Scott lowered his eyes for a few seconds and ultimately accepted the gesture, "Okay. Thank you."
"Get in the car."
Pointing her chin towards where the car was parked, Nora Scott had already turned and walked over.
Oliver Scott still felt so concern, looking at Nora Scott’s back, then at Pedro Langley, but Pedro Langley’s gaze only briefly t his before retreating with an ambiguous expression.
With the two in front, Oliver Scott followed behind, feeling quite complicated inside.
Upon first eting Nora Scott, he only thought of her elegant deanor, pleasing to the eye, easily garnering goodwill. Seeing her at school, he was surprised she was Marcus Shaw’s sister, but he had to admit her way of handling matters was very likable and respectful of their opinions. This ti, seeing Nora Scott, he witnessed her impressive skill and connections, which seed quite unfathomable...
And now, he was about to go ho with her.
Every encounter brings surprises; this feeling is indeed quite peculiar.

Cloudwater Haven, 21st floor.
"Boom."
"Boom."
"Boom."
As the three were still in the hallway, they heard sounds coming from inside a certain apartnt, crashing one after another. Despite the thick door, the noises were faintly clear.
Nora Scott glanced towards her front door and suddenly rembered, "What day is it today?"
Oliver Scott: "..." An ominous feeling.
Pedro Langley realized sothing, sighed, "Friday."
Nora Scott raised an eyebrow.
Friday, school would be off for the weekend, and she had told Marcus Shaw to co to Cloudwater Haven for the weekend stay.
