Walking out the door, Peter Hughes glanced at Nora Scott and Pedro Langley, then gestured towards Ernesto Scott, "Shouldn’t we leave him out of the young folks’ business?"
Ernesto Scott: ???
You’re just pretending to be young; don’t think that looking a bit young makes you my junior!
This shaless old thing!
However, Nora Scott and Pedro Langley didn’t mind the "uncle" from Peter Hughes, they figured Peter wanted to discuss sothing about Crystal Hughes and Camilo Nogueira by getting Ernesto Scott out of the way.
After thinking for a mont, Nora said to Ernesto Scott, "Dad, you should head back first."
"Oh, alright."
Ernesto Scott’s annoyance was easily soothed by that single "Dad" from Nora.
Heh heh, Nora called him "Dad"!
It must an she acknowledges him as her father!
Thus, Ernesto Scott left, seeming quite pleased with himself.
Peter Hughes gave him a bewildered look.
— A daughter’s dad?

The three of them weren’t particular, so they just found a barbecue restaurant nearby and gathered around a table.
As it was nearing midnight, there weren’t many people around, and the business there was quite slow, with only a few occupied tables.
Peter Hughes waved his hand, ordered a few bottles of beer, opened them, and started passing them around with Pedro — he didn’t dare give any to Nora, despite his long-standing doubts about her self-proclaid "two shots limit."
After finishing a bottle, Peter, chewing on a skewer, finally began his topic, "I heard you’re quite familiar with Camilo Nogueira?"
Nora: "Not familiar."
Pedro: "Average."
Nora looked at Pedro in surprise.
Peter looked at the two in surprise.
Clearing her throat, Nora explained, "He’s my senior sister’s husband’s brother, not that well-acquainted."
"Just business partners," Pedro said earnestly, "I don’t know about his private life."
"Oh," Peter chewed the skewer, tossed the stick to the side, furrowed his brow and scrutinized the two of them, "What are you up to? Are you helping or him?"
Nora: "I’m being honest."
Pedro: "He’s an outsider, it’s not appropriate."
Peter rolled up his sleeves and began to clarify the relationship, "He’s your wife, my grandson’s teacher, and in terms of seniority, she’s half my daughter—"
"Don’t," Nora hurriedly stopped him, "I don’t want to acknowledge that connection, it’s too much of a loss."
Peter didn’t mind her, waved his hand, and said straightforwardly: "Then let’s be bros, we’re cross-generational friends!"
Nora: "..."
Pedro: "..." It turns out Nora’s complicated relationships are not only her active doing; sotis she runs into people like Peter who doesn’t care about conventions.
"We’re all on the sa side, no need to differentiate," Peter opened another bottle of beer, directly asking, "How many tis should I beat him up?"
Nora: "Beat him to death."
Pedro: "Until he’s dead."
"..." Peter was choked on the beer, he coughed twice, lifted his eyes in shock, "Do you two have a grudge against him?"
"No," Nora said honestly, "I’d be happy to see his usual pretense get knocked out by you."
"I’ve always hoped soone would give him a good beating." Pedro voiced his long-standing wish.
Peter: "..."
Goodness?
This little pair is so vicious, he actually felt a bit sympathetic for Camilo Nogueira.
Clearing his throat, Peter placed the beer bottle on the table, startled, "You call that not having a grudge?"
"If it was a grudge, I’d do it myself." Nora raised her eyebrows, as if it was only natural.
Pedro pondered for a mont, "Hire soone to do it."
Peter tapped the table, "Let’s have a serious talk!"
Pedro stayed silent.
This kind of matter, he couldn’t intervene.
Nora was the one who, after a brief pause, suddenly asked, "Do you know everything between the two of them?"
"Yeah."
Peter actually had always known about Camilo Nogueira’s existence, also knew he was Andrew Hughes’s father, but held no particular opinion about Camilo himself.
The premise was: Camilo Nogueira shouldn’t ss with Crystal Hughes again.
He knew that it was Crystal who pursued Camilo first and that it was Crystal who insisted on the child; this didn’t have much to do with Camilo, it was all Crystal’s issue.
However, after so many years, Camilo suddenly got involved with Crystal again, proactively, and who knew if it was for the child or for Crystal? What kind of complications did he have with n and won in his private life?
For a refined successful person like Camilo Nogueira, God knows how chaotic his private life could be.
People could even lose their lives over it.
— He had seen too much of it.
So he wanted to ask Nora and Pedro, but didn’t expect they would be so uncooperative.
"Tell the truth, is he sincere towards Crystal?" Peter cut to the chase.
"Whether it’s sincere or not, only he knows." Nora didn’t take sides, her words were rational, yet engaged in human sentint, "However, my senior sister has taken a liking to his younger brother. I trust my senior sister’s judgnt. I also believe that within the sa family environnt, it’s hard to raise two completely different people."
Peter was montarily stunned.
Soon, Pedro gave Nora a look and also stated his position from his perspective, "No issues with his character, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible to cooperate with him."
Frowning, Peter swept his gaze over the two of them and asked weirdly, "Then why are you two so against him?"
Anyone who didn’t know better would think they truly had so deep hatred against Camilo Nogueira.
Nora evaluated, "He’s got a punchable personality."
She would never forget the first ti they t when Camilo Nogueira bad-mouthed Pedro Langley.
Pedro echoed, "He really does seem punchable."
Peter suddenly realized with an "Oh" and then sighed, "No wonder he can be friends with you two."
Nora: "..."
Pedro: "..."
