Now reading: Chapter 115: Time Trap, the Pit Dug by “Sin” from Pain Immunity: Worried the Villains Aren’t Twisted Enough, a Game novel by 陷阵营营长.

At this mont, the hall looked like it was hosting a cocktail party. After watching “Sin’s” mind-blowing performance, everyone finally started to move.

Though it wasn’t lively enough for toasts and cheers to fill the air, people had already begun forcing themselves past the unease and were striking up conversations.

Since they were already in the Ga, they had to follow its rules. This one-hour identity-guessing phase still had to go on.

So far, the Sli hadn’t said what the chips were actually for, but since they were called chips, they had to be important.

Therefore, under the requirent to guess, and with bad luck, it was entirely possible to lose everything. That ant the rules of this Ga needed to be fine-tuned carefully.

Each guess had only two options: one was guessing a person, the other was guessing a Fake Human.

If we assu that Stars are the most important thing in this Ga, then everything makes sense. Guessing a Fake Human and being right ca with big benefits, and being wrong had downsides.

As for guessing a person, getting it wrong didn’t seem to have major consequences—after all, you didn’t lose Stars directly—but getting it right didn’t bring much benefit either. It just forced the other person to unmask.

So, balancing the pros and cons was a matter of ga theory. Many people hadn’t figured out whether to gamble or not.

But truly smart people weren’t wasting ti on that anymore—they were focused on playing it safe first.

Take Xie Antong for example. She didn’t even bother figuring out who was a Fake Human, because Fakes were hard to confirm. She only looked at people!

Human behavior is recognizable—there are common patterns.

Xie Antong didn’t rely on her own eyes alone. Floating invisibly in the air, a tallic ball kept its gaze locked on Lu Ce, while others focused on different people.

Tiny movents when thinking, walking pace, and even the crowd’s physical reactions while watching “Sin’s” episode—all of it was information she used for her judgnt.

Fake Humans could pretend to be shocked, even pretend to ask the people around them about their identities. But so things just weren’t that easy to fake.

She collected all the data from everyone present into her mind. Through a quick comparison and analysis, she picked out three who looked the most like “real” people.

“I guess you’re a person.”

Her figure darted through the crowd quickly. After making her guess, she left behind a single line and moved on, not lingering at all—three tis in a row.

As long as the Ga confird the guess as valid, that was enough, right...

So of the three didn’t even react in ti. By the ti they turned their heads, Xie Antong had already vanished without a trace, leaving only the holographic images of the guessed targets slowly fading.

Three hits!

Seeing that she’d used up her three mandatory guesses without taking any losses, she let out a sigh of relief and turned her gaze back toward that obnoxious man in the field.

The “×2” headlamp on top of his head was glaringly eye-catching. Wherever he went, he was the center of attention. Not to ntion, he was wearing a Purple Mask.

No one knew how many people he’d already guessed. He’d won more than he lost, and sohow, he seed more relaxed now, not even caring about wins or losses.

He really did look like he was just here for fun—stumbling upon a gambling table with a ga he hadn’t seen before, eager to give it a try. The Sli even had to act as his tour guide.

“You, Fake Human.”

In the middle of playing, he casually pointed at the person beside him, not even bothering to look.

“Wrong guess.” A player’s voice responded, signaling that Lu Ce was about to lose another Star.

No, two Stars, because of the “×2” multiplier.

But right now, Lu Ce only had one Star left—he’d already lost one from a forced deduction earlier.

“Ah, not enough left, huh.”

The Purple Masked Lu Ce shrugged, looking like a total scoundrel.

“Got so caught up playing, I forgot about that. Boring. So what now? You guys gonna kill ?”

“Or maybe chop off my hands and feet to pay the debt?”

The last line was aid at the Sli.

Sli: ……

【Uh, well, about that…】

The Sli looked awkward, trying to speak but hesitating, raising a hand to point beside Lu Ce.

Lu Ce turned his head. Fake Human No. 1 was reaching out with his Skeleton Hand, holding out a Star and offering it to Lu Ce.

“Here, use mine.”

“Oh dear, I couldn’t possibly.” The Lust Mask said righteously.

“It’s okay. What’s mine is yours… huh?” Fake Human No. 1 hadn’t finished speaking before the Star disappeared from his hand and appeared in Lu Ce’s.

While saying “I couldn’t possibly,” Lu Ce had already snatched it. He moved so fast that the Fake couldn’t even see it clearly.

After pinning the Star to his chest, it imdiately dissolved into the wind.

Fake Human: ……

He silently retracted his Skeleton Hand. Fake Human No. 1 didn’t say anything—what could he even say?

Lu Ce’s current image was maxed out—obnoxious, cynical, a total Troll. Just looking at him gave people a headache.

From afar, Xie Antong watched him and thought: was this how Emperor Gaozu of Han looked to others back in the day...?

But when she saw the Fake Human voluntarily offer his Star to “Sin,” the truth hit her like a flash of light—so that’s how it is…

In other words, this so-called “love” was just a way to tie Fake Humans to his side, aning their Stars were basically his as well.

Then why not just ask the other side directly for three Stars?

Did these Skeletons even serve a purpose? “Sin” didn’t seem to need them for his own strength.

But no matter what...

She turned her gaze back to the crowd. At this point, more and more people were unmasking and guessing. But there were still targets left to guess.

—Guessing a Fake Human brought big rewards...

Then let’s make this Ga even more chaotic!

With that thought, Xie Antong, who had already completed her three guesses, turned around and dove back into the crowd to continue guessing!

......

Ti passed quickly. So of the more dazed players soon realized sothing was wrong.

They hesitated. They tried to think rationally, to find a way to break the ga. But the ga… was already spiraling out of control.

At so point, the pace of unmasking skyrocketed.

Where once the crowd had resembled handso n and pretty won from ani, suddenly—it all changed!

Player after player’s true appearance, horrifying skeleton forms, started erging rapidly. People suddenly realized—sothing was off.

Too late!

Hesitation leads to defeat. The massive pit “Sin” dug—many could no longer escape!
