As soon as the words fell, the man opposite Lu Ce loosened his grip on the dagger.
His eyes were wide open in shock, both hands clutching his throat as blood gushed out like water being poured.
But there was no stopping it.
A few seconds later, the man hanging upside down had turned into a blood-soaked corpse. The intense heat quickly coagulated the blood, and after two twitches, he went completely still.
Dead?!
Seeing a murder right in front of them snapped everyone back to reality.
Lu Ce, on the other hand, found it rather amusing. Looking at the roasted-crisp-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside corpse, he even had the mood to crack a joke.
“That red-skinned duck cosplay is actually pretty spot-on. To be fair, this really is a hanging oven.”
Honestly, under the influence of the Greed Mask, he should have taken advantage of this aggressive opponent to rack up more Pain Points.
But he didn’t.
What was ingrained in his mind was unshakable—never hand over your chance to survive to soone else!
The opponent wanted to kill him, so there was no need for unnecessary words.
Lu Ce yanked the dagger from his shoulder and looked at the weapon description that automatically popped up.
【Sharp Blade (Premium Weapon)】
【Effect: Armor Piercing. When attacking, the user’s strength triples (strength cap unknown, requires further testing).】
【Description: When you don’t know what to do, just stick it in.】
Lu Ce: ?
Huh? Wasn’t that description just a little off? (;′⌒`)
“Oh, a premium weapon, huh? Doesn't sound too high-tier, but hey, better than nothing.”
With that, Lu Ce tossed the dagger into his inventory, treating it as spoils of war.
By this classification, his Greed Mask didn’t seem to count as a weapon or an item.
A Sealed Artifact, huh… seed like a unique, independent category.
He scanned the area.
No one dared to et the deep blue gaze of his mask.
In places where human-created laws and order didn’t reach, violence was always the best way to speak.
“Alright, enough of that. Na your price.”
Finally, the first smart person spoke up.
Lu Ce turned to look at him.
“I know Players like you don’t care about money. What you want are chips within this ga, right?”
“My Initial Ga gave 500 Reward Points, and because I perford well, my Guide gave another 300.”
“I’ll give you all of it. Just help get out of here.”
Clearly, people who had cleared gas before had much better ntal resilience.
But Lu Ce’s next words nearly made the man cough up blood.
“Eight hundred? That’s all you’ve got?”
Everyone: ?
What the f**k are you saying? 800 Reward Points is a lot, okay?!
“What are you talking about? That’s everything I have! The ga just started—how much do you expect people to have? Didn’t your Guide explain all this to you?”
Lu Ce: ……
My Guide?
Would you believe if I said I already killed mine?
I started with a 3,000-point reward.
“Alright, fine. Small business, first custor discount—I’ll accept it.” Lu Ce agreed to the deal.
“Besides, since you’re my first client, I’ll even throw in a little bonus.”
“…What?”
The man didn’t quite catch on yet. He was already ntally preparing himself to have his leg sawed off, his teeth chattering from fear.
Lu Ce simply pulled up his personal ga stats.
【Strength: 10】
【Agility: 10】
【Speed: 10】
【Luck: 3】
【Spirit: 0】
【Bonus Achievents: Godslayer (Legendary), System Exploiter (Epic)】
【Current Pain Points: 28】
From the mont he entered the ga, Lu Ce realized the biggest function of Pain Points—Stat Allocation!
For normal Players, these stats could only be increased through rare ga encounters or special items.
But Lu Ce? He could boost them directly!
Strength, Agility, and Speed followed a 1:2 ratio. Luck was 1:5, and Spirit was 1:10.
To maximize his imdiate power, he didn’t even hesitate—all points went into Strength!
Strength increased! 10 → 24!
His already beyond-human strength had now doubled and then so!!!
Gripping the saw in his hand, the wooden handle creaked under the pressure, as if it would shatter at any mont.
The surge in strength ca with a surge in confidence.
Looking at his not-so-bulky arms, Lu Ce felt like there was a Hulk living inside his body.
“Hey, what are you doing?……”
The transaction was complete, but the man opposite him suddenly panicked as he saw Lu Ce’s veins bulge, his right hand clutching the saw tightly, the mask on his face displaying an eerily deranged expression.
“Nah, nothing much. Heh. Custor service—I’ll personally saw off your leg for you.”
Man: !!!!!
“NO! NO NEED! Stay away from ! That wasn’t part of the deal!”
He started struggling violently.
The courage and determination he had built up completely crumbled in an instant.
You’re gonna saw my leg?!
Might as well just kill instead!!!
You’re gonna torture like you tortured yourself?! I’m not a freak, I can’t take that!!!
“Relax. I’m a businessman with integrity—would I do you dirty? I’m just running a little experint.”
As the man struggled desperately, a sharp gleam flashed in Lu Ce’s eyes.
The mask even ford a very human-like exclamation mark.
With a flick of his wrist, the saw swung down at a speed so fast that even a faint crackle of wind and thunder could be heard.
Crack!
A crisp snap, like a butcher’s cleaver splitting a rack of ribs on a cutting board.
That completely rusted saw blade—under imnse speed—beca the sharpest cutting tool imaginable.
A shadow fell.
The man crashed onto the platform below with a dull thud.
It wasn’t until he was free that he even realized it was over—only then did the pain register.
A scream tore from his throat.
He clutched his severed leg, writhing in agony, his body drenched in sweat as he tried to suppress the pain.
Lifting his severed left leg, he pressed down hard on his blood vessels to prevent excessive bleeding.
Then, with a grimace uglier than crying, he forced a shaky smile, looked up at Lu Ce—who was still dangling in the air—and gave him a thumbs up.
Through trembling lips, he stamred,
“Th… Thank you, boss!”
That gratitude was genuine.
Faced with life or death, he made his choice.
And honestly? He doubted he could’ve endured sawing off his own leg with a rusty saw.
Lu Ce’s godlike execution made him feel like his Reward Points were well spent—at least he was alive.
“Heh, look at this ss… We cut off his leg, and he still thanks us….”
