【Oh oh oh! It’s finally starting, the largest ga in the casino—Life-or-Death Steps—begins!】

【Players, twenty-person round!】

As the light above Sli lit up, it instantly assud the role of Ga Host, jumped to the center of the field, and began wiggling its body.

Lu Ce glanced at the spotlight where it stood. Sli trembled slightly, then shifted its body to the side, seemingly suggesting whether “Sin” should co over.

“You just read it out.”

Lu Ce glanced at it. He didn’t seem very interested now—he didn’t need to be in the spotlight anymore, and yet he was still the center of attention.

【Aight, thanks.】

Sli had just said that when it almost slapped itself—what the h*ll am I thanking him for?

Then, it continued speaking:

【This ga is a twenty-person round. The rules of Life-or-Death Steps are as follows:】

With a wave of Sli’s big hand, the entire room began shaking violently. The ship that served as the casino platform opened a massive gap below, revealing a crack nearly a hundred ters long.

Beneath it was pitch-black seawater—only the crashing waves gave away the fact that it was actually the sea!

Otherwise, that inky blackness made people question whether there was sothing wrong with their eyes.

The real issue was: why was there a gap between the ship’s bottom and the seawater?

This is supposed to be a f***ing ship?!

And above the massive crack, forty virtual light platforms had already been laid out—two in each row, leading straight to the finish line.

【Alright, that’s the basic setup. Not too complicated. Please watch the demonstration.】

As it spoke, Sli signaled a Fake Human to walk to the start of the gap. With a command, it jumped forward onto the first light platform.

Then it began hopping left and right across each row of two platforms, making it through all twenty rows and reaching the end.

【Mhm, that counts as a win.】

【But, the path it took was the correct path. The other twenty platforms are fake.】

【If you guess even one wrong… well, sorry to say, falling down would be a pretty unfortunate outco. Also—】

【Flying is forbidden!】

Though no one knew if any of the twenty players could fly, everyone suddenly felt their bodies grow heavier—like so restriction had been applied.

Lu Ce looked at the gap, the expression on his Lust Mask a bit odd.

It was only about a hundred ters. Even not counting the diater of the platforms, the distance between each row was over three ters.

That’s already far for a normal person—but no one here was normal, least of all him.

With a running start and full effort, a hundred-ter leap was still possible, right?

Could it be that no one here had physical enhancent abilities?

As if sensing what he was thinking, Sli looked directly at Lu Ce and said:

“For players who can jump straight across in one go, we’ve already set a restriction—

You must step on all twenty platforms to complete the challenge.”

Lu Ce: ......

You really went all out just to design a ga that limits .

【Alright, that’s the basic setup. Anyone want to quit?】

Sli twisted its body mischievously, asking everyone. Instantly, it caused a huge uproar!

“I’m out! Why is it a twenty-person ga? I thought this was just a regular multiplayer round! Why the h*ll is ‘Sin’ in here too?!”

【Exit failed. The ga has already started. No quitting now~.】

Sli replied with complete seriousness, but everyone was already fuming.

Why the f*** even ask if we can’t quit?!

“Hey, what the hell? This isn’t what we agreed to!”

“What’s your deal? So you’re just helping him now?”

“Hey! We agreed to take down ‘Sin’ together, and now you’re saying there’s no way to gang up on him?!”

The ga hadn’t even started, and the twenty players were already arguing.

A bunch of them began grilling Li Wei.

So just wanted to earn stars—they didn’t even know Li Wei had co here to go after Lu Ce.

So had been crushed by Lu Ce at the roulette wheel and wanted revenge, but didn’t have the power to do it alone.

Now, seeing these rules, they were stunned.

If you wanted to succeed in one go, the probability was 1 in 2 to the 20th power!

That’s astronomical—basically ans the first few players are guaranteed to fall!

They didn’t know what would happen if they fell, but let’s be real—it probably ans death.

What is this, a deathmatch?!

And just like that, Li Wei instantly beca the target of everyone’s outrage.

But he didn’t care. He smiled and said:

“Everyone, it’s too late to talk about this now. I didn’t expect the twenty-player ga to be like this either—must’ve been random.”

“Now, the real question is how we survive, and how to maximize our rewards.”

As he spoke, he ignored the crowd’s cursing, looked up at Sli, and asked:

“Excuse , how is the crossing order determined?”

As he asked, the corner of his eye kept sneaking glances at “Sin.”

【Wow, you’re even saying ‘excuse ’—very polite, kid.】

【The crossing order is simple. Lem think.】

Then Sli started pretending to think, like it had never considered this before!

【Alright, here’s how we’ll do it—it’ll depend on how many stars you bet!】

【The more you bet, the later your turn. The fewer you bet, the earlier you go. All stars go into the total prize pool and will be awarded to the person who clears the challenge.】

【You can start placing bets now. I’ll calculate the reward split.】

After speaking, Sli extended two chubby tentacles, waving them in the air as if doing complex calculations.

The crowd was furious. This Ga Host was insane—making up rules on the fly, improvising rewards, and throwing players into life-or-death gas.

But after the rules were explained, no one placed any bets.

Everyone’s eyes shifted in sync—not even needing Li Wei’s nudging—

They all looked at “Sin.”

That guy’s still here!

Push him out!

Make him go first—let the strongest scout the path!

It’s an unspoken rule of human nature: in group survival, they always want the strongest to fall first so others have a shot.

Of course, Lu Ce wearing the Lust Mask was already disliked—that’s a whole other story.

So, how much they bet depended entirely on how much “Sin” bet.

“What’re you all looking at, huh? A bunch of cowards……”

Lu Ce cursed impatiently, not even glancing at them, just staring silently at the sea beneath the ship.

“I’m betting nothing. I’ll go first.”
