Know-it-All: ......

After a few seconds of silence, though he really didn’t want to admit it, he had to admit—well, it kind of made sense...

Tsk, wait... was he getting brainwashed?

His brain spun for a while, and he felt annoyed and frustrated. He said irritably:

“But you just said, if I help you, you’d pay .”

At this point, Know-it-All wasn’t even thinking about what kind of reward he wanted anymore. He just had this strong feeling he was about to get stiffed.

“Really? Are you sure that’s what I said?”

“But I don’t rember it that way.” Xie Antong saw the hesitation and imdiately grew more confident, continuing to bluff.

“What I rember saying was: I’ll pay you after I give it to you and get it back.”

“After all, that’s more reasonable, don’t you think? Think about it again, carefully.”

Know-it-All pinched his brow and racked his brain. Did he really rember it wrong?

Tsk, maybe it was possible. He was already furious back then, probably too muddled to think straight.

“Uh... is that... how it was?”

【: That’s it, he’s been totally bamboozled. So indecisive?】

【: This is supposed to be one of the top three you shouldn't ss with? Seriously?】

【: So this is the combo move of Blank and Sin? They've evolved to tornt NPCs together now.】

Seeing Know-it-All falling into confusion, the viewers were already cracking up. Xie Antong seized the mont and quickly said:

“Of course that's how it was!”

Know-it-All wasn’t having it and tried to push back:

“No, I don’t think that’s right.”

“You said it wasn’t safe with you, so leaving it with ant I was taking the risk for you. So you should pay upfront.”

“Or at least, pay half?”

Know-it-All was now completely lost in the logic maze—he was even starting to haggle.

“Pay half?” Xie Antong paused, then quickly said:

“But leaving it with you is a risk for too.”

“I guarantee there won’t be any problem while it’s with ,” Know-it-All quickly added.

“Well, I guarantee that once I get it back, you’ll get a generous reward!” Xie Antong responded.

The two of them paused for a mont, and then Xie Antong added:

“Also, I’ll leave so collateral with you.”

“Oh?” Know-it-All’s eyes lit up—finally so good news. “What are you putting up as collateral?”

“That headset,” Xie Antong said matter-of-factly.

“I leave it with you—it’s collateral. If I don’t pay, you don’t give it back. Simple, right?”

Know-it-All heard that and thought, sh*t, that makes too much sense!

The logic was air-tight. He had no room to argue at all. He even felt awkward trying to respond.

“Tsk... why are you suddenly so coherent...”

Without thinking, Xie Antong replied based on her knowledge of Sin:

“Maybe I was in a bad mood just now—hormones out of whack or sothing. Might’ve seed a little rude, sorry.”

She didn’t know which mask Sin was wearing this ti, but in her mory, Sin’s humanity was never particularly decent.

Know-it-All looked completely stunned, staring at Xie Antong for a long ti before slowly saying:

“Wow.”

“Didn’t expect you to actually say sothing human for once...”

Xie Antong: ......

She really wanted to know what Sin had done in here before she ca in.

After a bit more casual chatter, she handed over the headset and temporarily ended this encounter.

As for how Sin would retrieve the headset—that wasn’t her problem. After so many gas together, she believed he’d figure sothing out.

After she left the room, she realized she’d completely forgotten that she ca here to gather information.

But since Sin had taken the initiative to contact her, she’d just follow his lead now.

Once outside, Xie Antong quietly moved to the side, throwing out her All-Seeing Eyes, scattering them across the sky.

She had originally intended to leave one in Know-it-All’s room, but she realized that room might be under so kind of ga restriction.

The visuals were unusually blurry—she could barely get any useful data back.

So she gave up on that, and started scanning the prison’s layout instead. After all, they were planning a prison break.

Now, all that was left was to wait for Sin to reach out. But where was he now?

She looked up at the gloomy sky, her eyes filled with unease.

Is it really... you?

......

“Is it you? Huh? F*ck!”

Elsewhere, Lu Ce was cursing loudly while strolling through the prison with a prison guard’s face on.

He had now wandered to what was supposedly the warden’s location, but got stopped by a gatekeeper who asked him to register.

So, he very politely started swearing.

“I’m here to see him, not you. Why the hell are you stopping ? Are you tired of living?”

The guard didn’t dare ss with a prison officer, but still had to tough it out:

“It’s just... sir, we’ve got rules. We just need to register real quick.”

“Rules, my *ss! Open your dog eyes and look—do you even know who I am?” Lu Ce barked arrogantly under the guise of the prison guard. “I AM the rules!”

The gatekeeper didn’t dare say another word. Normally, the prison guards, the warden, and Know-it-All barely interacted.

But no matter what, they were way above his pay grade.

He didn’t want to get squashed like a bug, so he had no choice but to step aside and let the guard through.

“What, did you leave your brain in your pelvis? Open the damn door properly!”

The guard: ......

Sure, the guards were always cruel and violent, but today’s level of mouthy aggression was on a whole new level.

After several tedious procedures, Lu Ce was finally led to the warden’s door.

“F*ck, this old bastard’s such a pain. Just to see him, so much red tape.”

Lu Ce didn’t bother keeping it down. He cursed right in front of the door. The gatekeeper shivered and quickly backed away, pretending he heard nothing.

Lu Ce knocked, waited a bit, then pushed the door open after a click.

Behind the door was a dimly lit office, with a shadowy figure seated at a desk—it was kind of spooky.

“What are you here for?” the warden said in a raspy voice.

Click!

The lights turned on—Lu Ce didn’t even say hello. He just flipped the switch.

Warden: ?

“I prefer darker lighting.”

“No problem. I prefer it bright. Deal with it,” Lu Ce replied.
