“al ti! Co eat!”
The prison guard outside started shouting noisily. Judging by the ti, it was alti.
Five al trays were thrown in. The other three imdiately grabbed one and began wolfing the food down like they were being forced to eat, not an ounce of enjoynt in sight.
Lu Ce walked over and looked at the trays on the ground, feeling a bit surprised.
—The food’s this good?
Compared to what he had in the Devil’s Asylum, it was night and day.
That sh*t back there, Gluttony still ate it like it was a delicacy. But here...
Rice. A welded bowl of soup. A few slices of what looked like at. Soybeans. So greens.
Though it was simple and not much to look at, the al seed pretty well-balanced—everything the body needed was there.
If Gluttony were here, he’d probably eat the whole prison down to the floor.
Lu Ce stared at the food in a daze, then the mask’s brows furrowed.
He kicked the tray over with one sharp stomp.
Prison Guard: ?
The guard, dressed entirely in black with no visible face, clearly hadn’t expected anyone to do that.
“What? What are you looking at?” Lu Ce acted like the villain making the first complaint. “I don’t wanna eat.”
“Do you know what the consequences are?”
“Nope,” Lu Ce replied casually. He really didn’t know.
“You need to eat on ti every day, then rest. You all have to lie in bed and make sure your body gets proper rest.”
“Of course, there’s ti for exercise—both in the morning and afternoon.”
“This is all for your physical health.”
Lu Ce: ......
He was a bit confused. This was a prison?
Wasn’t this just a straight-up livestock farm—except they were raising humans? There wasn’t even a labor reform component.
The biggest punishnt here was the complete stripping of will.
Eat, sleep, exercise.
Forced eating, forced sleeping, forced exercise!
The als were exactly the sa for decades—nutritionally balanced. Sleeping was mandatory. Resting was a must. Yard ti was fixed.
If you didn’t follow the routine, chances were, you’d be “fed.”
He didn’t know the details yet, but Lu Ce could already guess what that “feeding” was.
After all, if this prison treated inmates like livestock, then feeding...
And that yard ti—it was the only mont these people had any real control over their minds. So, of course there were gangs, fights, workouts, and social interaction.
They were trying to reclaim that feeling of being human. Of being part of society.
On the pink mask, the expression began to twist into sothing dark, oozing a sense of wickedness.
A prison full of beasts, strange feeding rituals, and suffocating ntal pressure...
This place was kind of... nice.
Perfect. A classic powder keg of an environnt—just needed soone like him to light the fuse.
After hearing everything the guard said, Lu Ce had pretty much figured things out.
Only, up until now, he hadn’t seriously thought about escaping...
CLANG!
He kicked the food tray again with another loud bang, then turned and climbed into bed, ignoring the prison guard entirely.
The guard was starting to get pissed. He’d just spent all that ti basically giving a tutorial for a new inmate—and the guy just kicked the tray and walked off?
No one in this prison was a good person, but soone this purely evil was still rare.
And the rules, punishnts he just explained—this guy didn’t give a single sh*t?!
Tch... Who knows where the head prison guard had gone...
He didn’t have any authority to punish him anyway, so all he could do was leave in silence, while the three inmates still eating exchanged glances.
Why does that guy always get away with everything? Soone do sothing about him already!
After eating, the three of them lay down on their beds and forced themselves to sleep and rest up.
This place was just ridiculous. They had to focus on body maintenance every day, but could be beaten into a crumpled pile with broken bones at any ti...
Lu Ce just lay there without doing anything more. He wasn’t scared, but he didn’t want to start trouble just yet.
He needed to rest. And... he already had a plan for this afternoon’s yard ti.
...
The long, boring rest period finally passed. Yard ti again. The cell door opened once more.
Lu Ce rolled off his bed without a word and headed straight out. No one dared to stop him.
The remaining three glared but didn’t say anything, just quietly watched Lu Ce leave.
When he reached the door, Lu Ce turned and added:
“Heh, all behaving now? Looks like a good beating really is the most efficient thod.”
“People like you only get it when you’re slapped around, huh?”
After that insult, he turned and walked off. He wasn’t looking to argue or fight—Lu Ce didn’t even have any killing intent at the mont.
Just pure evil, pissing people off to death and walking away. No one could do a damn thing about him.
In a better mood, he headed once again to the Know-it-All’s office.
He hesitated a mont—then decided he could trust Xie Antong.
She definitely handed over the headphones. If that part’s done, the rest will be easy to handle.
No point overthinking. It had been a whole morning—plenty of ti had passed.
Once he entered the corridor, his body began to twist and morph again—shrinking, drying up.
Slowly, he transford into a skinny old man.
—The Warden’s exact appearance!
When he’d t the Warden, he’d deliberately gotten close to study his features—and even touched him, checking his muscle condition.
Knock knock knock.
As the knocking sounded, the door opened. Lu Ce stepped inside, and the Know-it-All froze on the spot.
His eyes filled with shock. No matter who ca to see him, this was the last person he expected.
“Warden?” He stood up, voice confused. “Why are you here?”
“Hmph.” Lu Ce snorted coldly, voice dripping with negativity. He shot the Know-it-All a disdainful look—like a superior glaring at an underling.
“You’ve been acting a little too shady lately.”
Know-it-All: ?
What the hell? Shady? I’ve always been shady...
Seeing his confusion, Lu Ce continued:
“Have I not told you that nothing in this prison escapes my eyes?”
“Uh...” The Know-it-All looked like he was severely constipated, completely baffled.
“When... when did you ever say that?”
