Know-it-All was stunned by that barrage of moral punches, as if he'd been bathed in a halo of virtue. His face went blank—he almost felt like he was about to grow a conscience.

After all, guys who end up in prison usually aren’t getting this kind of education.

Right now, Know-it-All’s vulture-like face was frozen as he stared at the Warden.

When did he beco like this?

This guy—who’s committed countless cris, killed like it’s nothing, and is universally recognized by the prison's scum as a demon—was now suddenly radiating righteous golden light?

And for Know-it-All, this situation wasn’t sothing he knew how to deal with. It was his first ti encountering sothing like this, and he didn’t even know how to argue back.

Not just him—even the familiar viewers in the audience were already starting to laugh.

【: I can’t take it anymore. “Sin” always solves problems in the weirdest ways. Can’t believe I’m laughing at Hell Mode.】

【: Looks like this dude really needs a good rinse in the light of morality.】

【: Didn’t expect my Sin-baby to be this wise. Loving him even more now.】

...

“Did you get it now?” The Warden, played by Lu Ce, said with deep sorrow in his voice, as if advising a lost youth.

“Get what?” Know-it-All looked completely confused.

“Obviously, it’s ti to hand over the headset and fix the mistake you made!”

As he spoke, Lu Ce lowered his head, his expression darkening, his voice threatening:

“I don’t want to fight you. After all, we’ve known each other for years.”

“But we’ve got more important things to do, and your mistake can’t change that. If you’re still stubborn…”

“Then I might have to take action…”

Normally, if soone told Know-it-All they were gonna throw down, he wouldn’t flinch.

Even if it was a Prison Guard or the Warden, he wouldn’t be scared—he’s no pushover.

But now, this whole painfully emotional act made it feel like it’d be wrong to lash out. He even started wondering if he really had ssed up.

“Wait, you…”

Know-it-All was starting to stamr. According to his own code, he’d never go back on a deal.

But now, the other side made the stakes sound so huge that he hesitated. He wasn’t even that closely tied to the prison anyway.

But still…

“What are you waiting for? If you’ve forgotten everything from before, and you’re really planning to help that person—then let’s do this now!”

Lu Ce radiated killing intent, making it look terrifyingly real.

“Hey, hl no! How the fk did I suddenly beco her helper? She hasn’t even paid the rest—didn’t even drop a deposit!”

Lu Ce’s logic leap left him completely lost, so he hurriedly tried to explain:

“Wait, so according to you, if I don’t give you the thing today, I’m automatically on her team? And I’ll doom the whole prison?”

“Hard to say,” Lu Ce nodded seriously.

“F**k, I looked at this headset, alright?” Know-it-All held out his hand, staring at the headset in disbelief.

“It’s got so energy fluctuation, but nothing major. Might not even blast through a wall. Sure, there’s a bit of formation magic in it, but that’s all.”

“Just this…”

Before he could finish, a withered hand darted in like lightning—Lu Ce had already snatched the headset away.

Know-it-All: ?

Watching the item get stolen from his hand triggered sothing primal. His whole aura exploded and his eyes instantly turned blood red—

Like he was about to go full beast mode.

But what he saw was the Warden’s approving, relieved expression.

“Mm, good. I knew you’d do the right thing.”

“Admitting your mistake and making up for it—very good. The prison will rember your contribution.”

With that, he patted Know-it-All’s shoulder aningfully, turned around, and walked off without even a glance back.

Know-it-All stood there, mind blank. By the ti he ca to, that little dried-up old man had already walked out and shut the door behind him.

His face flushed red, like a boiled duck. He looked utterly miserable, but had no way to vent.

He didn’t know what to feel—just that it sucked, and he couldn’t do a damn thing about it.

It felt like if he hadn’t given it up just now, he’d be guilty of so massive sin. Like everything the other guy did was for the greater good—even for his own good.

He had never seen tactics like this before.

He exhaled so hard it felt like a hurricane whipped through the office.

Know-it-All was on the edge of a breakdown. In tis like this, he needed to fight—to push back.

But he didn’t get the chance. His bottom line had been broken, and for the first ti, it actually hurt.

He forcibly suppressed his emotions, chest heaving, then started pacing in frustration.

“What the… what now?”

Just thinking about that sharp-tongued, venomous woman gave him a massive headache.

He rembered what he’d told her—about “trust” and how he’d “never screw up”—and it made him want to cough up blood.

Thinking back, when she said she didn’t trust him, doubted him—

Well... turns out she had a point.

“Argh!”

He let out a furious roar and smashed the teacup on the table.

If that woman showed up now and started asking questions...

Know-it-All felt like his soul wouldn't survive it.

“Ugh, maybe I can fake it. Just an energy-based headset—it’s not that big a deal.”

Frowning, Know-it-All began having dark thoughts.

As the saying goes, **once is never enough—the mont you cross a line, morals slide real fast.

Just minutes ago, he was ready to throw down with the Warden over principle.

Now, not even ten minutes later, he was already plotting to fake the goods.

“Click—better hurry up first…”

But how could Lu Ce possibly give him that chance?

Did he really co here to take the headset just to stiff him on paynt? What a joke.

Of course he was gonna mooch it—but more importantly, if there’s a chance to tornt soone, why not take it?

He ca here to double-cross soone—and he was gonna be the baddest in the ga.

Timing it just right, Lu Ce turned back around and headed back.

As he entered the corridor—yep, he transford back into Xie Antong.

Unfortunately for Know-it-All, the one who showed up was the rougher, more uncivilized version of Xie Antong. And before coming, Lu Ce already knew exactly how he was gonna ss with him.

While Know-it-All was rummaging through everything, he heard another knock at the door.

He wanted to pretend no one was ho, but Lu Ce kept knocking—louder and louder. Sounded like he was kicking the door now!

Who the hell’s this rude?!

Fuming, he opened the door—only to see “Xie Antong’s” face. Guilt-ridden, Know-it-All deflated instantly.

Oh… it’s you. Makes sense.

Tch…
