Now reading: Chapter 245: All Eyes on Me! from Pain Immunity: Worried the Villains Aren’t Twisted Enough, a Game novel by 陷阵营营长.

Just like that, the night was destined to be sleepless for the three of them.

None of them had the intention of sleeping, all harboring suspicion in their hearts, watching the other two with guarded eyes—each hiding their own agenda, yet forced to discuss things together.

No one was being honest. This highest-level eting in the prison had turned into a tangled ss.

No one could’ve imagined, nor even bothered to check, that Lu Ce was already lying comfortably in bed, sleeping peacefully.

Having vented all his inner darkness during the day, he was now enjoying a very peaceful sleep.

Even the pink mask on his face had a big smiling expression.

Also worth ntioning—the skinny guy who usually shared his room hadn’t co back tonight...

So tonight, the people losing sleep over Lu Ce weren’t just those three—there were also the two remaining cellmates.

They were tossing and turning in bed, unaware of anything anymore.

But in this prison, they didn’t have the right to insomnia. Rest was mandatory... under the looming pressure of death, they had to force themselves to sleep.

Maybe it was their suffering that allowed the Jealousy Mask to fall soundly asleep.

The next day, the exact sa food was delivered, like copy and paste—breakfast, lunch, and dinner didn’t change at all.

After eating like zombies, Lu Ce sat cross-legged on his bed, staring at the cell door.

According to the deal, the prison guard was supposed to co kill him today...

Thinking about it, he actually looked forward to it... hehe.

But after waiting a long ti, even past the sa ti as yesterday, that tall figure still hadn’t shown up.

"Hmm? This guy isn’t even motivated to kill?"

Lu Ce muttered with a mocking tone.

The two prisoners trembled. By now, they were totally obedient—nothing like that first day. They didn’t dare challenge Lu Ce at all.

In the end, the prison guard didn’t show up. Instead, it was ti for the morning yard break.

The two prisoners wisely stepped aside and let Lu Ce go out first.

Lu Ce walked straight out. Just then, the headset in his ear crackled with static, and Xie Antong’s voice ca through.

"My All-Knowing Eye can now partially transmit sound."

Lu Ce paused. "So what? You want to praise you?"

He was a bit puzzled. Normally, even if he cooperated with Xie Antong, they operated separately. Why was there so much contact this ti?

What he didn’t know was—for Xie Antong, clearing the ga was secondary. The real goal was confirming identities.

"So, just listen for now. This is part of my independent operation."

"Alright, got it."

Surprisingly, Lu Ce didn’t throw out a sarcastic remark this ti. He just agreed, and then caught sothing out of the corner of his eye.

Behind the narrow door of a nearby room stood a broad-shouldered figure.

Lu Ce understood—soone was watching him.

He suddenly realized why the prison guard hadn’t co today.

After last night’s discussion, the three top figures had decided to temporarily trust each other’s identities, then hide in places where they could keep one another in view.

They’d spend the following day observing whether the person the prison guard ntioned would appear—and how.

After all, with shapeshifting already in play, things like doppelgängers or puppets weren’t out of the question.

As long as they caught that person, the tension between them might ease.

Lu Ce chuckled softly, then casually shifted into the appearance of one of the prisoners before slipping into the crowd.

Against surveillance that was already disorganized and based on weak trust, this was way too easy.

His body weaved through the crowd, changing appearance every ti he passed through a dense cluster of people.

In just a few monts, he had changed appearances over ten tis, completely confusing his observers.

The prison guard wanted to make a move and dive into the crowd, but both Know-it-All and the Warden stopped him.

anwhile, Xie Antong was doing her own thing.

During this ti, she had identified at least five possible players in this ga.

But the one who most clearly looked like a high-level player—with a real escape plan—was that “Cutter” guy.

He didn’t seem to rember much himself, but based on appearances, he wasn’t a weakling. He might’ve been chosen later in the ga.

The All-Knowing Eye swooped down quickly, stopping in front of Cutter, and began writing on the ground in front of him.

——“Hello.”

Cutter froze, rubbed his eyes, then looked at the writing in shock. He stomped on it and looked around anxiously.

He knew this wasn’t a haunting—it had to be another player with special abilities reaching out.

Good!

He was no longer alone! Soone reliable had finally appeared.

Way better than that lunatic from last ti.

What he didn’t know was—that lunatic was currently listening to everything he said through the headset, thanks to Xie Antong’s live relay.

By the ti he focused again, the writing on the ground had already been wiped away by Xie Antong.

"What’s your plan? I currently have the prison map."

Due to space constraints, she wrote concisely, with no tone or embellishnts.

"You can just speak," she added, as Cutter was about to write on the ground.

"Right, here it is—we dig a tunnel!" Cutter replied decisively.

Xie Antong: ?

"This ga’s na is ‘Redemption of the Kidney Reaper.’ That’s obviously a reference—we need to draw inspiration from the movie, even the simplest kind."

"As for the ‘Kidney Reaper,’ that’s probably the punishnt—maybe sothing like forced organ removal. But that doesn’t matter."

"What matters is, we just need to..."

Cutter laid out his whole plan seriously, since he needed cooperation—and needed the map the other side claid to have.

More importantly, there wasn’t anything worth hiding. The key was execution and details. As long as it didn’t leak widely, they’d be fine.

What he didn’t know was—his voice had already reached Lu Ce’s ears, word for word.

Hmm...

Lu Ce nodded repeatedly. "Not a bad plan."

"Let give him a hand, then."

Xie Antong instantly knew he was up to no good, but it was too late to stop him—Lu Ce had already turned into “Cutter.”

Standing in the crowd, he shouted, testing out the legendary weapon he had picked up last ti.

"All eyes on !"

"I’ve got an announcent!"

His voice swept across the entire prison like a rule being enacted. Instantly, every single head turned to look at him!

Even the prison guard and Warden—even those who technically couldn’t see him—were looking his way.

“Cutter” also looked over curiously.

And then he saw... another him.

Cutter: ?
