Lu Ce stood in the empty central area, spreading his hands in mockery, the pink mask on his face displaying an infuriating expression. He then surveyed his surroundings - all the goblins had ford a circle around him, leaving a large empty space in the middle.
While that voice conversed with him, the goblin army seed to receive so command, scattering to give them space to talk. Strangely enough, though Lu Ce had slaughtered countless goblins during his ti underground, looking around now, he couldn't see any traces. The endless sea of green figures seed like a brand new army, untouched by war, now surrounding Lu Ce like a pre-battle interrogation.
Truly befitting of a prison - anyone here would feel like a prisoner.
"Heh." After Lu Ce finished speaking, the voice of [Life] sounded again, its previous hesitation seeming like shock at the other party's words. "So you're saying you want to play the villain here, is that it?"
Lu Ce slowly raised his head, the smile on his pink mask widening. As the mask representing the pinnacle of evil, smiles rarely appeared on it. But this ti, it displayed a grin rivaling that of Greed's.

"If gods truly exist, you definitely aren't [Life]'s true form, right?"

The voice fell silent for a mont, refusing to respond to this blatant provocation. This was part of Lu Ce's plan - he knew full well that unless this was truly a god, it wouldn't dare claim divinity directly. As he spoke, Lu Ce glanced at the now-full Hourglass of Life in his hand and took a deep breath. Whatever sches the other side had - whether psychological warfare or stalling - his condition was ready now. Earlier, possibly because he was conversing with a divine-level entity, he'd removed his earphones. Now he put them back on.
Without further ado, he raised his gun with his right hand while activating the gaze-converging weapon with his left. Instantly, all the goblins turned to look at him, taking one synchronized step forward!
The resonance made the entire underground tunnel tremble. But what followed was an even more terrifying vibration - the roar of Hell's Roar. Without another word, Lu Ce opened fire, ending the conversation.
Large groups of goblins were blown apart. Lu Ce observed carefully this ti - their green blood splattered on walls and floor, only to be rapidly absorbed and disappear. With barely a thought, Lu Ce concealed his conversation with Life and the prison's true nature.
"Those green things are multiplying. Getting hard to handle."
"The wall remains impenetrable. The conduits inside briefly disappeared earlier, but still no breakthrough."
"They've reappeared now. Any useful intel for ?"
"None." Lu Ce responded bluntly, almost lazily, leaving Xie Antong speechless.
"But then our actions outside are aningless."
"All these prisoners dying aimlessly now... Or are you working on sothing? Should we buy you more ti?"
"Whatever." Lu Ce's voice held no pretense, cold and decisive - as if speaking to both Xie Antong and the presence here. "Just let them die."
"That was the plan from the beginning, wasn't it?"
