That voice carried every common language used across the world right now, a chorus of different pronunciations, yet all synchronized to deliver the sa ssage.
Strangely, in each region the voice that sounded loudest in the video was the dominant local language.
This level of global coordination was genuinely chilling. No one had imagined that regions around the world were covertly cooperating like this.
As the worldwide audio played, the ga's public chat also displayed the sa video.
They used every available channel to rapidly make sure this announcent reached everyone on Earth.
You gods have supre divine power that can sweep the planet in seconds, but humans have their own thods too.
For a mont it felt like the world's wars paused; everyone was stunned, watching this global bulletin.
“Damn, the old man’s got skills — he pulled off that move.” Xie Antong, in a small South Arican country, watched the screen and couldn’t help but be amazed.
She had hoped the entire world wouldn’t be thrown into chaos, after all this apocalypse rehearsal was essentially a trial ant to make humanity actually consider resisting the gods.
She still didn’t know what the Grand Elder planned to do.
In Tokyo, the Chiyo family villa seed like a paradise untouched by the turmoil.
Acting family head Chiyo Ji wore a defeated look, staring dazedly at the two doors before him.
Behind one door was Chiyo Eine, seemingly in a reclusive state, absorbing divine power.
Behind the other was Chiyo Ming, apparently attending that eting.
Even the Chiyo family had no knowledge of these mories; they didn’t understand what agreents their predecessors had made.
Chiyo Ji was almost completely in the dark about what those two inside the doors were doing.
......
The video continued. The black-robed man with gold patterns on a black background appeared to be the main speaker:
“You may not know who we are. In the past, people gave us a na — they called us the ‘old players.’”
“The history of CHOSEN’S PARADISE! is older than you imagine. For centuries and longer, we have fought and bled against each other. The people you see before you are not friends.”
“It wasn’t until a few decades ago that we realized the ga’s true nature. We rose up in resistance, each in our own way, but we lost.”
At that point the voice in the video seed to falter.
They all knew the leader of that last resistance had been Nie Jiu Tian, and ntioning those events brought a haze of mory.
“After that defeat we made a pact. How we fought and resisted in normal tis would remain as before.”
“But if the day ever ca when humanity reached its end, there would be one last chance to unite.”
From then on, these ‘old players’ who quietly controlled the world added a frequency band to all electronic devices.
It was an insurance policy called the ‘Union.’ At the sa ti, it was the most desperate alliance, representing humanity’s endga.
Back then it was rely a contingency. No one expected that within a few decades humanity would actually reach this point.
And so of us old fellows were still alive...
“Now!” the video’s tone suddenly rose.
The gods can directly influence human minds with their power, but humans had long mastered another strange magic — tone of voice.
Different intonations can move people. Now the voice took on a stirring, heroic cadence.
“The day has co! The gods can no longer hide their fangs; they have chosen to invade our world.”
“There will be no surrender. If they succeed, our world will beco their paradise, like the countless gas you have seen.”
“Life and death, emotions, perception — all of it will be their nourishnt. That fate cannot be described rely by the word ‘slave.’”
“So from this mont, we declare humanity has entered the final joint phase, and perhaps also an unprecedented phase of division.”
“All laws, orders, organizational structures, distinctions between races or regions — they are all void now! From now on there is only one criterion to separate humanity — who is prepared to resist the gods!”
When that last sentence hit, the world erupted!
Hundreds of millions of minds went blank. At first, when people saw the video, they had clung to various fantasies.
So thought the world’s elites had united to suppress current chaos and restore peace.
Maybe this was good news.
Instead, it brought the worst news — confirmation that the end tis were imminent, and it even appeared that order itself was canceled.
Resist the gods? It sounded like pure nonsense. The idea alone was absurd.
“The gods’ power will not directly act solely to execute you. As long as you harbor a will to resist, humanity as a whole might have a chance against them.”
The old players led by Nie Jiu Tian continued speaking. That last sentence was Nie Jiu Tian’s own hard-learned lesson and speculation.
But neither the Dragon Group nor the other old players fully agreed with that claim.
The public probably didn’t understand these words. At tis like this, to unite people you sotis need well-intentioned lies.
Many ssages flooded to Nie Jiu Tian, but he remained completely silent!
— Don’t understand? Then die!
The days of maintaining stability were over. The world had no more ti. So people might die under pressure, but others might awaken sooner.
“Everyone may take any form to defend their beliefs. As for those who choose surrender, from now on, they will cease to be human!”
“For them, my opinion is: stop all instruction and persuasion — kill!”
Those lines were a last-minute addition from Nie Jiu Tian, sothing he had been considering for a long ti.
Once spoken, the world seed to fall eerily quiet; the air grew unseasonably cold, thick with the scent of killing.
“Whoa—” Xie Antong, watching this global announcent, widened her eyes at those words.
Her power surged upward sharply at that single sentence!
“Bold move...”
