Lu Jingchen’s aim was to rain on Mu Siyin’s parade that night. He wanted to slap some sense into her. It was time for her to understand that she and Shi Beiyu were impossible.
Otherwise, she would be miserable in the future.

As Shi Beiyu disappeared from their sight, Lu Jingchen got up and pulled Mu Siyin along.
Mu Siyin did not want to go anywhere but calm her thoughts for a moment.

The one who had just spoken was the Old Master from the Leng family. It was Leng Jiuchen’s paternal grandpa, Old General Leng.
When Shi Beiyu heard this, he had no choice but to e forward from behind his friends. He replied politely, “What a joke, Grandpa Leng. I was discussing some matters with Ah Jiu and the others upstairs. That’s why I came late. Please don’t be offended.”
Old Master Shi laughed out loud. “None taken. I’m afraid all the other ladies are probably losing their patience by now.”
Sitting next to Old Master Leng, Old Master Shi could not help but laugh. “Just go straight to the point with him. Introduce your beloved granddaughter to him now.”
Upon saying so, a woman who sat in the corner stood up. A white dress hung onto her body as she stood up gracefully from her seat. Then, she walked forward elegantly and stood next to Shi Beiyu. The woman looked at Old Master Shi as she smiled shyly. “There’s no need for that, Grandpa Shi.”
Huo Sikai, Shi Ran, and the other men’s eyes popped the moment the woman stood up.
Sheesh! Who knew that Old Master Shi had brought along such a treasure?
Everyone instantly turned their gaze to Leng Jiuchen. The man furrowed his brows lightly and looked rather surprised by this too.
Old Master Shi raised an eyebrow curiously. “Oh? Does Yiru know Ah Yu?”

Old Master Shi started to poinder after he saw her. If Shi Beiyu liked her, then this would really be a match made in heaven.
From what Yiru said, it seemed like she and Shi Beiyu were old friends.
Old Master Shi was overjoyed by this unexpected turn of events.
After Old Master Shi’s question, Yue Yiru smiled faintly and looked at the cold Shi Beiyu next to her. She blushed slightly.
