Old Master Shi was so mad that his white hair stood up. He looked at Shi Beiyu and slammed the table furiously. “Afraid that I’ll get mad? If you really are, then the earth would turn out of its orbit!”
Shi Beiyu lowered his head slightly and kept quiet for a while. Then, he said, “I was wrong yesterday. I apologize.”
“If you want my forgiveness, cut off all ties with that woman immediately!”
Shi Beiyu looked up at him. “I did apologize to you, but I’m not looking for your forgiveness.”
“You…” Old Master Shi was so mad that he could vomit blood!
“You b*stard! Do you want me to die of anger?”
“I’ve told you, Grandpa. She’s innocent. Why do you insist on putting all your grudges on her?”
Mother Shi clenched her fists before she looked at Shi Beiyu and whispered, “I can’t sleep at night whenever I think of her face.”

Shi Beiyu took a few deep breaths and looked at Mother Shi. “Her mother… has already paid the price with her life. Why are you both still so hung up over this matter? It’s time you let things go!”
Old Master Shi grunted lightly. “She was a bad mother. Her death is nothing!”
Upon hearing this, Shi Beiyu lifted his hand to stop them from talking. “Enough. I don’t want to talk about this with both of you anymore. I’ll call the shots for my relationship and my marriage. Stop meddling with my life!”
However, Old Master Shi refused to back off. “You are a grandchild of the Shi family. You have no rights over your own marriage!”
Shi Beiyu scoffed. “Does that mean I can call the shots if I’m not a grandson of the Shi family?”
“You…” Old Master Shi was lost for words.
Mother Shi looked devastated. “Ah Yu, why are you arguing so much with us over a woman? You really disappoint me.”
“I can’t do anything if I disappoint you by marrying the woman that I want to.”
It was his indirect way of telling them to be forever disappointed.
His remark made both Old Master Shi and Mother Shi furious. He had never been like this before, yet now…

“I still need to attend to some affairs at the pany. I need to go.”
