Upon hearing this, Mu Siyin clapped her hands loudly.
“You should write a drama, Auntie Li. Get Mu Xingyu to act for you too. If both of you decide to join the entertainment industry, you’ll dominate it in no time.”
Li Tongzhi’s face turned red from anger from Mu Siyin’s mocking. She yelled, “Am I wrong? You saw your father walking over. That was why you intentionally provoked Xingyu to splash milk on you! It was your plan all along!”
Mu Siyin lifted her chin as she jeered. “Do you see eyes behind my back? Think before you talk. Only a fool would fall for such nonsense.”
“Y-”
“Enough!” The Old Madam stopped the argument.
Li Tongzhi frowned before she looked at the Old Madam bitterly and said, “You really can’t put the blame on Xingyu, Mom. It’s all Mu Siyin’s fault. She started telling us off the moment she got down. Xingyu was so annoyed that she threw milk at her at the spur of the moment. Who would expect her to dodge instead?”
She meant that Mu Huyuan would be safe if not for Mu Siyin’s reflexes.
Mu Siyin was not happy to hear this. “Did I scold you both? You were the ones that got all offended and indirectly admitted that you were a pig-head. Did I ever say who I was referring to? You’re not a young kid anymore, Auntie Li. Don’t be so brazen.”
“Mu Siyin!”
“Shut up!”
Li Tongzhi was about to go berserk when Mu Heyuan bellowed, “All three of you are grounded for today! I’m making all of you clean up every inch of this house! All servants are given a day off today. I’ll fire whoever steps in and help them!”
Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu’s faces sank after Mu Heyuan’s announcement. In fact, the two women looked even scarier than Old Madam Mu.
“Do you know how big this place is, Heyuan? How are the three of us supposed to clean it all?”
“Don’t give me any b*llshit. I want this place sparkling clean! This should keep your mouths shut for a while!”
Li Tongzhi dared not oppose it. However, Mu Xingyu creased her forehead and said, “I still have some affairs to attend to at the pany, Dad. I need to rush a design sketch for a client.”
Mu Heyuan hesitated for a while, but his face was still cold as stone. “Don’t give me any excuses! Assign your job to someone else!”
Upon hearing this, Mu Xingyu gritted her teeth and glared at Mu Siyin in hatred.
Mu Siyin ignored it and looked at Mu Heyuan instead. She said, “Why must I be punished if they were in the wrong?”
Mu Heyuan grunted coldly. “None of this would’ve happened if it were not for you. Who should I punish if not you?”
“Mu Xingyu was the one that drenched you in milk. What has it got to do with me?”
Mu Xingyu instantly lashed out, “Why would I throw milk on your face if you didn’t scold me?”
“What did I say?” Mu Siyin lifted an eyebrow.
Mu Xingyu immediately froze.
How could she tell them that Mu Siyin had called her a pig-head?
That would sound like she was scolding herself instead!
Upon realizing that the argument was about to start again, Old Madam Mu said, “Enough! All three of you are wrong, especially Xingyu! You’ll only have to clean the second floor, Yinyin. Leave the rest to Xingyu and Tongzhi.”
“Mom!”
“Grandma!”
Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu were obviously unhappy with the verdicts.
The Old Madam put on a poker face and snorted coldly. “Enough! Heyuan, hurry back to your room and clean yourself up. You’ll only be a walking joke if someone sees you like this.”
Mu Heyuan headed back to the room with a long face. As the Old Madam walked towards Li Tongzhi’s direction, the latter took her opportunity and said, “Mom, the second floor is nothing pared to the courtyard and the first floor.”
The Old Madam grunted softly. “It is huge, but how dirty can it be? We’ve got servants cleaning it every day. I’ve already made up my mind. I’ll inspect each corner personally after this.”
