If An Yiqing weren’t worried about others discovering her secret, she would have casually conjured up a Heaven Mountain Snow Lotus or so such as a snack long ago...
Without the obstruction of the tiger’s carcass, An Yiqing’s movents beca much more convenient. Coupled with the companionship of An Zhiyu and the others, their journey was filled with laughter and chatter. Over the course of four days, fighting monsters and roasting at, they surprisingly reached the deepest part of the forest smoothly.
By this ti, everyone had finished all the compressed biscuits in their backpacks. They brought a total of four, eating one each day, which was just enough.
As for the biggest eater, An Yiqing, she had completely devoured her share of compressed biscuits by the second night.
There was no other choice; she was in desperate need of energy and was truly hungry...
The very heart of the forest was also the most dangerous part.
"Everyone be careful, there could be miasma here, take the dicine now."
An Yiqing looked around cautiously and casually took out a small porcelain bottle to hand to An Zhiyu.
Without hesitation, An Zhiyu and the others promptly swallowed the dicine without a second thought. As long as it was sothing given by An Yiqing, they would swallow it all, even if it were rat poison.
The eleven of them were prepared, each sorrowfully adjusting their own baggage and straightening their clothes, and set out for the dark depths of the forest.
After four days of toil, everyone was covered in dust. Not just An Yiqing and An Zhiyu, but including An Zhihang and An Zhiyan among others, all looked as if their faces were caked in dirt.
Luckily though, despite being a bit dirty, everyone’s spirits were remarkably high. A few had minor scrapes, but nothing serious.
Their pace was roughly the sa, and by now, they had all stepped into the deepest part of the forest.
The real challenge was about to begin!
In the depths of the forest, the foliage was the most luxuriant. Sunlight had difficulty piercing through the canopy to the ground, leaving only a dense patchwork of dappled light. The forest was shrouded in darkness, and if not for the mottled spots of light on the ground, it would have been difficult for An Yiqing and her group to distinguish between day and night.
The eleven of them had been in the central area for just over an hour. Wild animals were appearing more and more frequently. In only an hour, they had killed a huge python, a starving wolf, and a small brown bear.
The north was not like those tropical forests; there were only a few kinds of beasts, but each was ferocious.
Everyone shuddered when they recalled the python they had just killed.
The python was about two ters long, with a body as thick as a water barrel, covered in cold, black, hard scales. Its glowing red eyes seed to be filled with venom, making anyone’s scalp tingle at the sight.
In order to give the Blood Guards a chance to train, An Yiqing and An Zhiyu did not participate in the python killing but left the space entirely to the Blood Guards.
It took twenty minutes, a full twenty minutes, for the three Blood Guards to chop the python into several pieces.
"Xiao Qing has no weak soldiers under her command; these lads have only joined for a short while, but to have such skills already proves how hard they have worked," Ye Feng said from inside the van, watching the entire process of the snake being chopped, continuously expressing his admiration.
"That being said, the center of the forest is not as simple as a single python. Soon they’ll realize that with just this little bit of strength, they’re definitely not going to survive," Chiang Yi said with a playful smile, his eyes filled with anticipation.
At this mont, deep within the forest, after dealing with the python, An Yiqing and the others continued walking further in.
They hadn’t gone much farther when An Yiqing, who had been leading the way, suddenly stopped.
