As soon as An Yiqing finished speaking, a man’s breathless voice sounded at the front door.
"ng Po indeed switched Miss An’s raw materials! I have surveillance footage as evidence!"
ng Po was startled, his sharp eyes tinged with shock looked towards the entrance of the hall. At the sa ti, everyone else also focused their gaze on the door.
At the door, a young man bent down with his hands on his knees, panting heavily. He wore a black T-shirt, faded from many washes, along with jeans so faded that their original color was indiscernible, and cheap white sneakers. Despite his inexpensive attire, the noble air about him was unmistakable. As people shifted their eyes from his clothing to his face, they were all taken aback by his striking looks.
This young man was definitely not ordinary!
Among everyone, aside from ng Po, Duan Jingning was the most shocked. He looked at the young man standing at the door, his eyes filled with relief and excitent.
"Isn’t that the third young master of the Duan Family..." Ruan Xue muttered softly after seeing who it was, "What’s his ga? Has he turned over a new leaf after being beaten by Xiao Qing?"
Xia Hao also scratched the back of his head in confusion, shaking it in bewildernt.
At this point, many had recognized the modestly dressed young man as Duan Ziqing, Duan Jingning’s third son. They had heard bits about the events at the banquet a few days ago, and upon seeing one of the people involved, they began to whisper among themselves.
Duan Ziqing, though not trained in ancient martial arts, could clearly hear the discussions. Strangely, instead of feeling disgrace or embarrassnt, he felt a sense of calm.
He looked up at An Yiqing on the high platform, and then let his gentle gaze fall upon Duan Jingning.
"I have evidence of ng Po switching Miss An’s raw materials! And it’s undeniable!" Duan Ziqing shifted his gaze away from Duan Jingning and loudly addressed everyone.
It was only then that people realized Duan Ziqing was here because of the switching incident.
"Duan Family’s third son, what evidence do you have? Bring it up here! Let’s see if our Jade King, Mr. Wang, will be convinced!" Peng Shaohe, who had just been snubbed by ng Po, imdiately responded loudly, taking three steps at a ti from the Stone-Cutting Table to Duan Ziqing’s side, grabbing his arm and dragging him back.
ng Po gazed coldly at the suddenly appearing Duan Ziqing, a bit apprehensive. Duan Ziqing’s claim of having video evidence of the switch made ng Po very uneasy. However, thinking it over, he reassured himself that the people he had sent were experienced pros, and Old Wasar had turned off the warehouse’s surveillance. Logically speaking, there shouldn’t be any surveillance footage.
With this thought, ng Po sighed in relief. Whether from a factual or emotional standpoint, he optimistically believed that Duan Ziqing couldn’t possibly have obtained a video.
"Miss An, you truly are resourceful. After dealing with King Xinsheng, now cos Duan Family’s third young master. But I wonder, what trick do you have up your sleeve this ti?" ng Po sneered, turning to Duan Ziqing: "Duan Family boy, my Yanran has always been deeply in love with you. If you’re not grateful, that’s fine, but you broke her heart. I’ve kept a record of this debt! I haven’t had the chance to settle it with you, and now you’ve co at just the right ti!"
"Ziqing, where have you been these days? Are you really going to oppose and my foster father for that woman?" Qiu Yanran looked at Duan Ziqing with a wounded expression, as if looking at a cheating husband.
Duan Ziqing felt a chill down his spine from Qiu Yanran’s gaze, nearly regurgitating last night’s al.
"Mr. ng Po, I was arrogant and ignorant back then, which led to Miss Yanran’s misunderstanding. If this situation caused her any harm, I will personally apologize to Miss Yanran. But not liking her is simply that; it has nothing to do with Miss An or anyone else. Why Yanran and I beca acquainted and why we associated, Mr. ng Po, you know the reasons well. Let’s not pretend to be innocent rabbits when we’re both old foxes." Duan Ziqing looked at ng Po calmly, his eyes no longer showing the forr carefree and reckless nature. The hardships he faced recently seed to have transford this extre young master into soone new. Though there was still arrogance in his eyes, the traces of wickedness had vanished.
