Ruan Xue’s phoenix eyes were wide open as she gave Xia Hao a thorough look from head to toe. Xia Hao had already retracted his wings when she woke up, and the red glow in his eyes had disappeared. His clothes, torn from the changes in his limbs, hung on him, looking sowhat comical no matter how you looked at it.
"Little Fatty, did you sneak one of Xiao Qing’s precious pills? How did you suddenly get so buff?! Wow! You used to be just plump, but now you’ve turned into a real hunk!" Ruan Xue poked Xia Hao’s solid arm with her finger, sighing with admiration, not noticing Xiao Hao’s eyes reddened with excitent.
"Xue, Xuexue..." Xia Hao opened his mouth, calling out to Ruan Xue with difficulty, tears finally streaming down his face. Ignoring the discomfort of his body, he reached out and pulled Ruan Xue tightly into his arms, as if holding onto a lost treasure regained. Having just experienced a life-and-death parting, Xia Hao no longer wanted to suppress his emotions. Life is full of uncertainties, they might die in the next second, and Xia Hao didn’t want to waste ti hiding his feelings any longer.
"Hey, Little Fatty!" Ruan Xue was startled by Xia Hao’s action. She was stunned for a mont, then suddenly realized this embrace’s temperature was unusually cold. She touched Xia Hao’s body, feeling it as cold as ice.
"Little Fatty, why are you so cold? Are you sick?" Ruan Xue struggled out from Xia Hao’s embrace and reached out to feel his forehead, "Strange, why is it so cool? There’s no fever!"
Xia Hao’s body stiffened, he paused his breathing, but didn’t speak.
The back hill was silent, nobody dared to be the first to speak, who knows what Ruan Xue’s reaction would be once she understood the situation.
"It’s getting late, let’s head back first. Sothing happened just now, I’ll explain it to you in detail at the hotel." An Yiqing’s words brought a sigh of relief to everyone, and Ruan Xue, bewildered, looked at the crowd as An Yiqing helped her leave the back hill.
The night was still deep, and the hotel’s back hill was desolate. Apart from so trampled grass traces, it seed as though nothing had happened.

After An Yiqing and the others returned, each went to their rooms to take a shower, then gathered together in the living room refreshed.
The atmosphere was sowhat heavy, Zhang Yuksheng and the others didn’t know whether they should stay or go, anxiously sitting on the sofa, glancing back and forth between Ruan Xue and Xia Hao.
By this ti, Xia Hao had changed out of his torn clothes; since the clothes he had brought before had beco too small, he had no choice but to erge in a bathrobe. The new him was completely different from before, still appearing steady and honest, yet emanating a subtly terrifying aura.
Having changed into casual wear, Ruan Xue hugged a pillow, sitting beside Xia Hao, frowning as she scrutinized him, always feeling that Little Fatty was sohow different.
The sound of the door opening was heard, and An Yiqing and Gu Yelin erged from the bedroom.
"You guys go rest first. Xiaoxue and Haozi, stay."
With An Yiqing’s command, Zhang Yuksheng and the others felt pardoned, hastily lifting themselves and leaving the living room.
Amid Ruan Xue’s curiosity and Xia Hao’s unease, An Yiqing and Gu Yelin sat on the sofa, glancing simply at the pair opposite them.
"To make a long story short, Xiaoxue, you’re no longer human."
Xia Hao suddenly started coughing, caught off guard by An Yiqing’s blunt and straightforward approach. He had thought she would at least provide so ntal preparation for Ruan Xue before speaking the truth, but An Yiqing was surprisingly straightforward.
Ruan Xue’s mouth ford an ’o’ shape, eyes wide as she looked at An Yiqing, not quite understanding what she ant.
"I’m... a ghost?..." she pointed to herself in a daze, then flapped her hands like wings, "A ghost?..." After saying that, she even checked her shadow, full of disbelief.
"You could say... half a ghost!" An Yiqing’s mouth twitched, coughing lightly: "To be precise, you are now a vampire, the sa as Eddie and Bali. Not only have you beco a vampire, Haozi has also beco the heir to the Purple-Gold Blood Emperor."
An Yiqing briefly explained to Ruan Xue what the Purple-Gold Blood Emperor was and narrated the events that had just unfolded. After she finished, she drank the warm water in her hand in one go, then looked at Ruan Xue warmly.
The living room was very quiet, Gu Yelin was not fond of speaking, Xia Hao didn’t dare make a sound, and An Yiqing was waiting for Ruan Xue to speak first.
