It was past seven in the evening, and the city lights were just starting to illuminate. The door to the general manager’s office finally opened.
The receptionist had long since gone off duty, and the other employees of Xuanjin Yulong had also left. Only those who hadn’t finished their work or had a lot of tasks remained, burning the midnight oil.
A few core mbers with ssy hair walked out of the office. Their ties were all loose, and their shirt sleeves were rolled up haphazardly, evident of so intense discussions. "Miss, are you not used to keeping up with our pace?" Zhang Yuksheng asked with a smile, seeing An Yiqing stretch and sit down on the sofa.
"Not too bad, it’s much easier than fighting with others," An Yiqing joked.
Zhang Yuksheng twitched his lips. He had forgotten that his own Miss was quite the brawler; her eyes would flash green when she fought, so an afternoon of argunts was just a minor thing.
"Things here are almost done. I’ll leave the rest to you guys. Co on, since you’ve stayed up late with today, let’s go have so good food!" An Yiqing agilely stood up, picked up the car keys on the table, waved her hand, and led the way out.
Zhang Yuksheng and the others exchanged glances and happily followed An Yiqing out.
They took the elevator down and were about to leave the Xuanjin Yulong lobby when a security guard suddenly called out to them.
"General Manager! Please wait a mont!"
Zhang Yuksheng paused, turned around in surprise, and saw a sturdy man in a security uniform holding a box, quickly running toward him.
"What’s up? Is there sothing wrong?" Zhang Yuksheng asked.
"Well, here’s the thing. A package arrived from the post office today, addressed to Chairman An. It looked like it was urgent, so I thought it might be important and waited for you to finish work," the security guard explained as he handed over the package.
An Yiqing raised her eyebrow, a hint of surprise in her eyes, "For ?"
The security guard was stunned, staring blankly at An Yiqing. Since the chairman rarely ca to the company, most employees didn’t even know what the legendary Miss An looked like, so it was normal for him not to recognize her.
"Ah—you, you—you are..." the security guard exclaid, his eyes wide at An Yiqing, "Chairman, Chairman—Chairman An, hello!" He shouted, standing up straight, his face full of nervousness.
This was the chairman of Xuanjin Yulong! Self-made, creating such a miracle in a year! The idol in the hearts of all Xuanjin Yulong employees!
An Yiqing was amused by the security guard’s deanor. She waved her hand casually and said kindly, "No need to be so nervous, I’m just here for a casual look. Is this package for ?" With that, she carefully examined the box. On its surface, "Chairman of Xuanjin Yulong, To An Yiqing" was written with a ballpoint pen.
It appeared it truly was for her, but who would send sothing to the company?
"Did you see who delivered it?"
"It was from a postal worker, an urgent shipnt. I don’t know much else, he put it down and left," the security guard scratched his head, a bit regretful that he hadn’t asked more questions.
An Yiqing nodded, "Alright, I understand. Thank you, you did well."
With that said, under the security guard’s excited gaze, An Yiqing left the Xuanjin Yulong Headquarters with Zhang Yuksheng and the others.
They had a lavish dinner, then An Yiqing drove back to her small villa. Just as she walked in, she saw Gu Yelin coming downstairs from the second floor.
"Why are you back so early today?"
"The task is completed. I’ve left the rest of the cleanup work to Chiang Yi, so I ca back." Gu Yelin had changed into black lounge pants and a knitted pullover. The large V-neck revealed his sexy collarbone, complented by his powerful muscles, making for a very attractive sight. He descended the stairs, thoughtfully set An Yiqing’s bag aside, helped her remove her coat, and finally embraced her and kissed her on the forehead.
"What’s this?"
"Um, I don’t know either. The company’s security gave it to , saying it was from the post office," An Yiqing waved the box, curious. After all, in these days, things are mostly sent by courier, and postal urgent shipnts are rarely used anymore due to their unreliability.
