"Girl, at the end of this month, the dical exchange competition will take place, and the Poison dicine Sect will participate. I don’t know if Yu Hai will show up, but this is a good opportunity."
"Master, are you suggesting using this exchange competition to force Yu Hai out?" An Yiqing raised an eyebrow, thinking it was a good idea.
"Exactly!" Ye Chenghong nodded, slamming his big hand on the table, "I refuse to believe Yu Hai can hide himself forever!"
The master and disciple duo talked for another hour, with An Yiqing briefly ntioning the recent developnts of Tiezhu and Yin Xilin to Ye Chenghong. When Ye Chenghong heard that both children had already beco Initial Stage of Transformation Ancient Martial Artists, his smile widened.
"These two kids have extraordinary talent, one in literature and one in martial arts. They’ll beco excellent assistants for you in the future."
"Assistant is one thing, I just hope they grow quickly and directly take the position of Sect Leader from you, so I can save myself the trouble." An Yiqing chuckled lightly.
Ye Chenghong shook his head speechless, glancing at An Yiqing with amused irritation, "You’re getting more comfortable with being hands-off!"
An Yiqing smiled, about to speak when a dicine Sect disciple entered from the outer hall.
"Sect Leader, Senior Sister," he politely bowed, "General Gu is here, waiting for Senior Sister outside."
"Oh, hasn’t seen his wife for days, so he ca directly to the dicine Sect?" Ye Chenghong teased An Yiqing, laughing. The small dicine Sect disciple also stifled a laugh, watching An Yiqing with a playful glance.
An Yiqing’s face turned a bit red, and she shot a glare at Master Ye Chenghong.
"I’m leaving, never coming back." She stomped her foot in a mock tantrum, turned, and walked away, though her steps carried a hint of urgency.
Ye Chenghong watched An Yiqing’s hurried departure with a growing smile. This girl, eager to see Gu Laosan, yet being so stubborn!
Outside the dicine Sect, Gu Yelin’s signature Aston Martin was parked dazzlingly. Fortunately, it was in a small alley; otherwise, such a showy sports car would have attracted a crowd.
When An Yiqing appeared in Gu Yelin’s sight, he opened the car door and got out, striding towards that white figure.
"Ah Lin... hmm!"
An Yiqing was about to speak when she was suddenly pulled into a strong embrace, a pair of slightly cool lips passionately sealing hers, drowning all her words in intense longing.
The scent of Gu Yelin’s familiar, crisp fragrance filled her nose. An Yiqing was tightly held in the man’s arms, forcefully but without causing her any pain. It was as if Gu Yelin intended to transform three days and nights of longing into a heated kiss that lted her. By the ti their lips parted, An Yiqing’s body was already soft and limp, barely standing upright in Gu Yelin’s embrace.
An Yiqing shot an annoyed glance at Gu Yelin.
"In broad daylight, what are you doing?"
Gu Yelin’s dark eyes held a deep whirlpool, and An Yiqing might not have realized that her already enraptured look seed like an invitation for Gu Yelin to savor her fully. Taking a deep breath, Gu Yelin restrained the desire in his heart. It was dayti, and he didn’t want the passersby to see his precious one looking so enchanting.
After tenderly kissing An Yiqing’s lips again, the two got into the car and left the dicine Sect.
"How did it go?"
"Hmm, it was very rewarding." An Yiqing recounted to Gu Yelin what she had discussed with Ye Chenghong, then looked over to gauge his reaction.
"Why aren’t you surprised?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, smiling.
Gu Yelin glanced at An Yiqing, reaching out with his right hand to wrap her small hand in his palm.
"There’s nothing to be surprised about; it’s just soone who’s bound to die sooner or later."
An Yiqing blinked, considering that might indeed be the case. Though Yu Hai’s power was freakish, Gu Yelin was also quite the formidable freak himself. Back when Yu Hai was in his late twenties, he wasn’t even good enough to carry Gu Yelin’s shoes now.
"Hmm, have you been in Xuandu City these past two days?" An Yiqing didn’t want to discuss business any longer and switched topics.
Gu Yelin nodded.
"Did you co ho every night?"
Gu Yelin nodded again.
An Yiqing blinked, a hint of surprise flashing in her watery eyes. Making a workaholic co ho to sleep every night—had the sun risen from the west?
"I went ho to see if a certain little rabbit, who’s obsessed with dicine, might have a change of heart and co out of the lab to see ." Gu Yelin suddenly murmured.
