As soon as they stepped out of the bar, they noticed sothing amiss outside. The avenue in front of the bar was packed tight with dozens of high-end cars, and nurous n in black suits had blocked both sides of the avenue so tightly that not even a fly could get through, let alone pedestrians and vehicles.
"Miss, the road is completely blocked." Zhang Yufeng furrowed his brow, surprised to encounter a gang fight when they had finally decided to go out for so fun. This luck...
An Yiqing sighed helplessly, her watery eyes scanning the surroundings, "Let’s take the alley."
Zhang Yufeng supported Xu Qingtian, while An Yiqing carried Xiao Hei. The four of them quickly slipped into an inconspicuous alley beside the bar while the black-suited bodyguards were unaware.
It was already late at night, and the alley was pitch black, with only a single dim streetlight barely hanging onto its remaining life. Due to age and disrepair, the lightbulb flickered intermittently, occasionally emitting a "zzzz" sound, making the already deserted alley even more eerie.
Luckily, An Yiqing and Zhang Yufeng were not the timid type; each of them supported soone, appearing to walk slowly but moving swiftly.
The only sound in the empty alley was the footsteps of An Yiqing and the others, accentuating the quiet. Suddenly, the sound of breaking glass was heard above An Yiqing’s head. Her pupils contracted as she swiftly dodged to the side with Xiao Hei, avoiding the falling shards of glass.
Zhang Yufeng also quickly sidestepped with Xu Qingtian.
Thud—a shadow descended from above, landing on the ground. Then, another figure jumped down from the window above An Yiqing, landing right beside the shadow that had fallen first.
Bang—dust flew up.
Looking at the two n collapsed on the ground, unconscious, An Yiqing’s temples throbbed. At this mont, clear shouts echoed from the alley’s corner.
"Quick! They’re in the alley! Grab them!"
Upon hearing the noise, An Yiqing turned to leave with Xiao Hei. However, before she could take a step, she felt a hand grip her ankle.
Looking down, she saw the man who had fallen first had sohow crawled to her side, holding her ankle tightly, refusing to let go.
"Let go!" An Yiqing’s lips pursed slightly, her face showing displeasure. She had no intention of getting involved in a gang fight; if those people spotted her with these two n, she might end up in trouble.
She wasn’t afraid of trouble, but no one likes trouble that cos out of nowhere.
"Save..." The man did not let go; instead, he tightened his grip on An Yiqing’s ankle. It was hard to imagine that a seriously injured man could exert so much strength.
"I said, let go!" An Yiqing snapped again, trying to pull her foot free from the man’s hold. Her ankle was freed, but the man clung tightly to her shoe.
Black lines furrowed her forehead as An Yiqing considered whether to gift him the shoe.
The man weakly made another sound.
"Save... him..."
An Yiqing was stunned; it was the first ti she seriously looked at the man. In such a dangerous situation, he wanted to save soone else first? Wasn’t he afraid of dying?
"Please... save... him..." The man’s gaze was filled with pleading. Though he was nearly forty, it was the first ti he had begged soone so humbly. Yet, he was willing.
An Yiqing’s lips were tightly pursed, her gaze complex as she looked at the man.
At that mont, footsteps and shouts grew closer. An Yiqing glanced at the deep alley and signaled Zhang Yufeng with her eyes.
"Take them first!"
With one hand, she held Xiao Hei; with the other, she helped the man gripping her shoe to stand. Zhang Yufeng, anwhile, supported Xu Qingtian with one hand and dragged the other unconscious man with the other.
The man whom An Yiqing helped up saw the two seemingly weak girls possessing such strength, knowing he had found the right people. The breath he held suddenly relaxed as he lost consciousness completely.
When the group chasing the two n reached the alley, all they found were two alarming pools of blood on the ground, but no sign of the n.
"Damn it! They’re gone!" The man leading them kicked the wall fiercely, his breath raging.
"Boss, we’ve got that sucker; isn’t Xie Xiaoran bound to co?" The follower sneered.
