Soon, another doctor arrived in the dical office. He administered a sedative to Sophie Sullivan, applied dicine to her forehead, and was then severely scolded by Thomas Shannon.

The scolding largely consisted of accusations: he was an incompetent quack, a good-for-nothing, a waste of space! His existence was a waste of food and a pollution to the air!

The doctor stood in terrified silence, trembling slightly with his head bowed, not daring to utter a sound as the Young Master vented his anger.

Finally, when Young Master Shannon’s fury had mostly subsided, a cold "Get out!" was spat from his thin, sexy lips. As if granted a grand amnesty, the doctor hastily grabbed his dical box and scrambled away.

Sophie Sullivan lay quietly in bed, her eyes closed, the dicine already applied to her forehead.

The man’s slender fingers, with their well-defined joints, were fair and clean. They gently caressed her cheek.

"You little maniac... Heh."

She’s really turned into a maniac! But he refused to believe he couldn’t cure her!

Far away in Country C, Minimus Hart received a ssage from a maid and was utterly shocked.

Alia Shaw... had actually returned? And the Young Master had let her into the manor...? That persistent woman.

Clenching her fists tightly, Minimus Hart felt she couldn’t just sit back and wait for disaster. She knew exactly what kind of person Alia Shaw was. If Alia had the seductive ans to ensnare the Young Master once, she could do it again.

Minimus Hart grew restless. But her current mission was still ongoing; how could she get the Young Master to recall her? Feign illness? Perhaps... that was the only way.

「...」

Sophie Sullivan opened her eyes, her head still drowsy. She glanced around the room in a daze for a mont before suddenly realizing she was in Thomas Shannon’s bedroom. How did she get back here?

"Awake?"

A cold, emotionless voice sounded.

Sophie lifted her head and saw Thomas Shannon entering through the door. "Young Master..." Her voice was so hoarse it made her frown.

Thomas Shannon also frowned, annoyed. "Have you been taking your dicine on ti?" With a voice like that, did she even want to get better?

"I’d like to take it on ti, but I need the ans to do so..." Locked in the bedroom in the courtyard, how could I get my dicine? Even eating was a problem, let alone taking dicine. I simply had no opportunity.

Thomas Shannon’s handso face darkened ominously. "Still talking back?"

Sophie shot him a glare and sullenly closed her mouth.

Thomas Shannon walked to the bedside, grasped her jaw with one hand, and forced her to look up at him. "I’m asking you, have you ever had an episode of madness before?" In the asylum, had she ever truly gone mad? Since she was brought to the manor, she had never had an episode. Until now, when the frequency was terrifyingly high. Her appearance during these episodes was also exceedingly frightful.

The light fell upon his handso face, casting a faint golden glow, making him seem like a noble, inviolable, and sacred divine deity.

Sophie stared blankly for a mont, then blinked, licked her dry lips, and offered a pale, feeble defense, "I’m not a madman."

Not a madman? Thomas Shannon scoffed. "Every ntal patient claims they’re not sick. Why should I believe you?"

Sophie shook her head in a daze. "I don’t know, but I really haven’t gone mad, really!"

"Not even in the asylum?"

"No!" Sophie answered, her tone decisive and final.
