Being able to seize all of her attention was worth anything.

Downstairs, Lucifer sat gloomily holding Gabby. Sophie Sullivan handed him a piece of fruit, but he dodged it.
"You’re not eating?"
"No appetite."
"Lucifer, you look like you’re mad." Sophie smiled. "Is it because of ?"
Lucifer glanced at her and snorted. "In your inside heart, is Charlie River more important?"
Had Charlie River already taken over her heart?
That blatant feigned-injury trick, there was no way she couldn’t see through it, so why did she still let Charlie River in?
In Lucifer’s view, Sophie Sullivan just liked Charlie River, that’s why she indulged him like this.
Sophie Sullivan fed the fruit to Gabby, then put the fruit fork down herself. She raised a hand to her forehead, closed her eyes with a sigh. "Lucifer, I know he’s using the feigned-injury trick, but that can’t erase the fact that he helped ."
"If you want to repay him, I can help you. Any kind of repaynt he wants is fine." Just not you!
Lucifer could give him anything, except handing Cecilia Branford over on a platter.
Even if he had saved Cecilia Branford, it still wouldn’t do!
Sophie Sullivan’s head ached terribly. "We’ll talk about this later. Now that Charlie River has moved in, can you two coexist peacefully?"
If those two made a fuss every day, wouldn’t her life never know peace?
Lucifer let out a disdainful snort. "Coexist peacefully? With him?"
His face clearly said, "Oh Dear Cecilia, you must be joking with ."
Utterly disdainful.
"Yes, with him." Sophie Sullivan stood up. "I’ll go upstairs and make things clear with him now."
With that, Sophie Sullivan turned and left.
Lucifer was stunned for a mont, then finally lowered his head in dejection. Stroking Gabby’s head, he murmured with a soft sigh, "Gabby, your master has changed..."
In the guest room, Charlie River pour a cup of water for Charlie River. He had dicine in his palm, a water cup in one hand, just about to take the dicine.
Sophie Sullivan pushed the door open and ca in. Their gazes t in the sky. Charlie River was quick on the uptake and said, "You little maniac, co take care of Young Master, I’ll head downstairs first."
With that, he quickly left the guest room.
Sophie Sullivan gave Charlie River a glance and said nothing. Her body leaned against the doorfra as she quietly watched Thomas Shannon.
Thomas Shannon put down the water cup, hooked his lips in a smile. "Why don’t you co over?"
Sophie Sullivan quietly watched Thomas Shannon. A man like this had unfathomable depths, his thoughts even more complex and hard to read.

Sophie chuckled. "I won’t go over. I’ll just say a few words and leave."
She did want to leave, but Thomas Shannon was not about to let her go so easily. He stood up, striding toward her.
His long arm swept around her, naturally pulling her into his embrace and guiding her into the guest room. One hand pushed the door shut.
"Fennie, I’m in so much pain."
He lowered his head, burying his head in the crook of her neck. His scorching breath spilled over her tender skin.
It sent tiny currents of electricity skittering over her, tingly and numbing, making Sophie Sullivan’s sensitive neck shrink back slightly.
"Thomas Shannon, there’s no one else here, you don’t have to act anymore. I know you deliberately let Lucifer hit you, and I know you used the feigned-injury trick on purpose just to get in."
Thomas Shannon let out a low laugh, not denying it. "So, are you planning to kick out?"
If she dared be that ruthless, he’d knock her out and take her away imdiately.
For the rest of this life, she could forget about leaving him even half a step!
