He held a white towel in one hand, wiping his black wet hair.
Seeing her, his indifferent lips seed to hook slightly, sketching out a faint hint of sarcasm.
"What are you staring at!"
Sophie Sullivan shot him an annoyed stare. Since he had discovered her, she had no reason to be sneaky anymore, so she simply did it openly.
"Not even a mosquito can escape here, I advise you to save your energy."
Thomas Shannon strode over, sat down on the sofa, and casually tossed the towel used for wiping his hair aside.
He leaned over, picked up the cigarette box from the tea table, pulled out one cigarette, held it in his mouth, and grabbed a tal lighter with one hand.
With his cold, narrow eyes slightly squinted, he lit the cigarette held in his mouth.
A faint smoke rose, he put down the cigarette box and lighter, took a deep drag, then turned to look at her, "Planning to stand there forever?"
Sophie Sullivan pushed her handcuffed hands forward, "Open them, I need to use the restroom."
The man’s cold face showed a trace of confusion, then he smiled, his laughter low and deep, he took a deep breath, gradually stood up.
When the man’s tall body approached her, the scene on the airplane resurfaced in her mind.
Almost instinctively, she retreated.
Step by step, he advanced; step by step, she retreated.
Thud!
Her back pressed against the door, she had nowhere else to retreat.
With one hand propped against the door, he cornered her in his embrace, with the other holding the cigarette, he lightly tapped her nose tip from a distance, "Sophie, you never learn. What are you hiding from? Am I going to eat you?"
He just wanted to help, was it really that scary?
"You’re scarier than any beast that eats people."
"Am I?" Thomas Shannon seed to find reason in her words, nodded gently, "Then you probably don’t need the beast’s help, hold it in."
Saying this, he turned to leave, shut the bath chamber door, and leaned casually against the wall at the bath chamber entrance, leisurely watching her.
Sophie Sullivan felt that Thomas Shannon was different now, yet couldn’t imdiately pinpoint what had changed.
Anyway, unlike the furious man on the airplane, he was now very calm.
Calm enough that his emotions didn’t show in appearance.
Sophie finally understood what he ant by hold it in, with him blocking the bath chamber door like an immovable guardian deity, she could only ask him to move if she wanted to enter.
Thomas Shannon was determined to make her surrender, no matter how she kicked or bit, he refused to let her in.
Sophie Sullivan’s legs gave in, she slumped onto the ground.
The cold floor, seed like glacial ice, the bone-chilling coldness spread to her limbs.
Sophie Sullivan raised her head, sitting at his feet while he stood, resembling a high and mighty king overlooking the world, he gazed down at her.
His eyes carried a hint of sympathy, but more so coldness.
"Thomas Shannon, what do you want in the end?"
Sophie Sullivan was already uncomfortably holding it in, if she didn’t go to the restroom soon, she’d go mad.
"Beg ."
"You, dream, on!" Sophie Sullivan gritted her teeth, wanting to eat his flesh, drink his blood.
Her gaze at him was filled with hatred.
That hatred, like countless sharp knives, stabbed into his heart.
His tall figure stiffened, the cigarette pinched in his fingertips had unknowingly burned to the end.
After being burned, he ca to his senses, calmly tossed the cigarette butt away.
