Going out for a walk is the pretense; scouting the area is the real intent.
Even now, she’s still contemplating how to escape.

Mrs. Shannon held her mobile phone, dazed and lost in thought.

Mrs. Shannon chuckled and shook her head, pondering for a while before eventually deciding against it, "It’s not feasible... With Lincoln like this, what about Cheryl?"
"It’s getting late, don’t think about these things, you should rest." Jas Shannon held her as they lay down, picking up the remote to turn off the lamp.
At the other end, Cheryl Chew couldn’t sleep, so she went downstairs and picked up a paintbrush to start painting.

She took another sip of her milk, laughing with eyes curved, "Then tell about the maniac."
